I first met Sandy through a 20 minute promotional chair massage. This was just a sample of her work, but I was convinced she was already the best masseuse I've had. She immediately found my problem areas without me telling her and she focused her energy on those tense spots. That was enough to get me to book an appointment with her for a full body massage. If you have ever met Sandy or have seen her website, you know that she takes great pride in massage being more than a luxury as it is absolutely a health benefit. I am here to tell you first hand how true this is! About 3 months ago, I severely injured myself playing basketball. Basically, I got hit by a defender going full speed as he set an illegal screen. Needless to say, this hit has completely rocked my world. When I first went to see Sandy, I was extremely hunched over and pretty much looked like I was auditioning for a part in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Unable to stand straight up, lay flat on my stomach or back or even walk more than 10 steps without stopping for a break, I spoke with Sandy and we set up an appointment. I had already been going to a chiropractor that was convinced that my pain was located in my lower back, even though I continuously expressed that the pain was coming from another area. Needless to say, the chiropractor did not want to listen to me. Luckily, my experience with Sandy was completely opposite. She listened, asked questions and really took the time to understand what was causing me pain. Our first session was originally supposed to be a Thai massage but after getting me on the table and assessing what was going on physically, she changed her plan knowing that in order to help me be pain free again, she was going to have to tackle my issue with a series of different techniques. My first massage with Sandy was 1.5 hour session and I am happy to say that was the first sign of relief I had in over two months. I was able to stand up straighter and bend over far enough to get my hands past my knees (I was NO WHERE NEAR THIS BEFORE!!!). The second massage that I got was about a week and a half later. It was during this massage that she was able to pinpoint one of the major problems in regards to this injury! Since then, I have been steadily improving. I can not thank her enough for giving me hope that my issue can and will be resolved and I will have the chance soon enough to resume my extremely active lifestyle. Sandy is a FANTASTIC masseuse!
