Lori just gave me the best massage of my life. I've never had such an "in tune" massage before. She has such great energy and rocked my massage. I usually feel tweaked in some way after a massage, or sore. I thought that was the sign of a good massage until now. She used a lot of alternating pressures, and never went full hamm on me, in a new area she was working on. She gently felt the area, sort of a body scan, and then addressed the multitude of stress spots in my body. I just feel calm, and centered after leaving. I don't feel like anything still needs more work. That's a first for me ever. She made sure the bed temp was perfect and checked in at several intervals throughout my massage, on the face cradle height and ongoing bed temp. She had a natural intuition on exactly what to do and how to connect with me. She is a little powerhouse, she was very strong, but also very gentle, when needed. I could feel her experience throughout my incredible massage. I've been getting massages from an early age. Lori is a true healer, like I have never experienced. I already cannot wait to come back and get a massage from her again. The clinic is very pretty and soothing with good vibes too. I felt welcomed immediately and very at home. Communication with Dr. Kate was awesome and from beginning to end, was one of the best experiences I have had in literal years, on any front. I have been going to The Spinal Connection for over a year now. I have referred friends and family to them. The first thing you will notice about Dr. Katie & Dr. Ali is their friendly and welcoming demeanor. From day one, there is no question how much they care for their patients. The second thing that I noticed was the "customized care plans". One of my complaints about chiropractors I had been to in the past, was that it felt like the treatments were always the same regardless of the reason that I was being seen. I have seen Dr. Katie & Dr. Ali for many different ailments: hips that rotate due to all my physical activity, frequent calf cramping, dislocated ribs, neck spasms, etc. The treatments are never the same, and are always designed to address my current needs. The quality of the treatments is always top notch. The last thing you'll notice is their desire for you not to return. Yes, you read that correctly. Dr. Katie & Dr. Ali are always looking for ways to heal you so that you don't have to come back as frequently (or sometimes at all depending on why you're there.) Again, this differed from other chiropractors I've seen in the past, where they just made me feel better in the moment, but I always have to return to continue to feel good. There have been times where I was in such bad shape, that they recommended I come in two days later, and there have been times where they told me not to come back until I needed my routine tune up. I have been going to the spinal connection for almost a year. Dr Kate and Ali are honestly two of the best chiropractors I have ever come across. Last year, I had amazing insurance that covered Chiro with a less than $10 copay. Fast forward, my insurance had some issues and now before they will treat me again, I have to back pay them a substantial sum. I requested a payment plan because I lost my job several months ago and things have not been as easy financially. With that being said, I have unfortunately ended my journey with the spinal connection because I have learned a valuable lesson and that is "the spinal connection values the money over my health". I do understand the importance of paying back the money; however, I did request a payment plan due to my current financial situation and they refused. Again, I'm not discouraging anyone to frequent this location. I'm only sharing my story and cannot in good heart award 5 stars based solely on my experience. read more

Dr. Katie is AMAZING! I saw her for years before I moved away from San Diego. I haven't had any chiropractor, physical therapist, or doctor nearly as good since I left San Diego. Every time I get injured now, I say to my husband (who also was a patient of hers) "I wish I could go see Dr. Katie!" Dr. Katie has a phenomenal understanding of the body and how everything is connected. She treated me for a hip issue that was connected to an old calf injury, which also caused me knee pain. I've always been hesitant to see a chiropractor, being scared may sound ridiculous but the thought of someone pushing on my back when I was having pain just didn't sound like fun. I have been working out for the last 6 months and it took its toll on me. My trainer suggested I go to the Spinal Connection. She assured me that Dr Ali and Dr Katie would help me with my discomfort and she was more than right. The next day I received a phone call from Dr Katie she wanted to see me and offered me to come in that day. She made me feel very comfortable over the phone, listening to my concerns and easing my anxiety. I agreed to come in that day. When I arrived they were both so welcoming and friendly not just with me, but with every client that walked in the door. I was impressed with the cleanliness and ambiance. Dr Ali did an assessment of my back, she assured me she would help with the inflammation and pain that I was having. I felt very comfortable with her and she communicated with me while working on me what she was doing and how I was feeling. Immediately after treating me I could feel the difference. She then gave me stretching exercises to do and did them with me to ensure I would be doing them correctly. I saw Dr Katie the following week. I was amazed that she identified an injury that I had previously had on my leg when I had completely forgotten about it and remembered after I left. She was so knowledgeable and again I felt more relief in my back after she treated me. Dr Katie also reviewed my stretching exercises and participated with me to ensure my back is getting what it needs to heal. I'm so grateful to them both for their patience, reassurance and help with my back injury. I've improved SO MUCH and will continue to see them at the Spinal Connection.
