My experience today was incredibly disappointing…read more I scheduled a Botox appointment several days in advance and included a note explaining exactly how much I wanted to spend. I also asked them to call me if there were any questions about the treatment I wanted or my budget. Instead, I arrived for my appointment, was seated in the treatment chair, and only then was I told that the injector has a $200 minimum for Botox--double the amount I had clearly stated I was willing to spend. The injector admitted that she had read my note before my appointment but chose not to contact me beforehand. She said she decided to explain the minimum once I was already in the room. This was extremely unprofessional and made me feel embarrassed and pressured to spend twice what I had budgeted. Had someone simply called me before my appointment, I could have canceled and booked somewhere else, saving everyone time. When I spoke with the front desk, no one could clearly explain where this "minimum" policy came from. The injector came back out only to repeat that she had already explained it to me in the treatment room. At no point did anyone apologize for the lack of communication or acknowledge that my time had been wasted. Instead, they seemed to believe they had handled the situation appropriately. A quick phone call before my appointment would have completely avoided this experience. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy left a very negative impression. As someone who has been getting Botox and filler for years, I know what good patient care looks like. I previously went to providers in Charleston who were transparent about pricing, respectful of my budget, and always treated me with kindness and professionalism. Based on my experience here, I would not recommend this med spa. There are plenty of providers who value their clients' time, communicate honestly, and are willing to work within a patient's budget. I would encourage others to spend their money elsewhere.
