If it happened to me it's probably happened to someone else. The owner of this salon (pretty short Asian man) sexually assaulted me doing my hair. He waited until everyone left and then started diming the lights, was weird but I didn't react or think a lot of it. He started to get anxious? And was pacing around and I grew impatient because I wanted to toner rinsed out it had been well over 10 minutes. He took me to the sink area and while I was laying back with my eyes closed he touched my breast. I said stop and he did. I looked up and around for a camera because I couldn't believe it, the camera is only in the front of the salon. He planned this, turned the lights down and took me to the back sink area with no cameras. At the end of the appointment he offered a discount . We didn't speak of the touching. I was so shocked I didn't know how to react. I was 23 and a dancer at the time. I had shared where I worked and my experience and gossip as I would any stylist. And honestly I thought he was gay and I was safe. Be careful with this salon owner and don't leave your daughters alone with him.

This is my first yelp review. I am so thrilled with my experience at the Evolution Salon and with my results (courtesy of stylist, Deseray) that I was motivated to write a review. First, their customer service is impeccable. They fit me in the same day I called to book, were extremely patient with my time constraints, and even allowed me to book my appointment even though my services lasted an hour past their closing time. I had an extensive service done. I wanted both an update to my current color and needed a color correct. In total, I had my base color done, a full head of foils/balayage, an olaplex treatment, and a corrective toner. I was worried about cost. Without having to ask, my stylist, Deseray, created three custom options for my budget - I could choose the one that I felt most comfortable with. They NEVER tried to up-sell me or pressure me, and were incredibly helpful with working with my budget. The entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout every interaction. Second, and most importantly, are the results. I LOVE my hair, which is a big deal for me. I can be a little picky about my hair and not the easiest to please (I'm always polite, but often go home from salons a little disappointed). Deseray performed magic with my hair. My base color is perfect (not too warm or cool) and my balayage is better than I even had pictured going in. It's comprehensive, has beautiful dimensionality to it, and is toned to perfection. And my over-abused hair is softer, smoother, and feels healthier than before I walked in to the salon (and bleached it even further). I've never experienced that before. I highly, highly recommend Evolution Salon, and stylist Deseray in particular. A business that goes above and beyond for its clients, and a truly gifted stylist. read more

So I never had great luck with getting my hair done, or someone understanding the look I was going for. I live in The Highlands so I've past this salon many times while shopping next door and using the eye doctor next door as well. I was looking for a change in July around my birthday and wanted to lighten my hair. This awful stylist had done an A-Line like cut and this copper red color prior.... had to get rid of it. I scheduled with Evolution online which was super simple in itself. I was warmly greeted by the front desk and given a gift bag. I was nervous to meet my stylist Robin, who now I will never see anyone else thanks to her skills. She is so sweet and a true artist, who enjoys tricky projects like my own hair. We did a highlight and toner along with a cut for my first visit, I absolutely loved it. This last visit we balayaged my whole head and toned it. AMAZING! She is an absolute magician with color and makes you feel comfortable. There is no up selling with this salon and they are upfront with pricing. I highly recommend Robin, she is the color queen, a waxing goddess and apparently really great at makeup (I've seen her work on others & her own makeup is always flawless). You would be treating yourself to quite the experience booking with her and with this salon. I can not say enough great things and I am grateful to have decided to get my hair done with Evolution Salon but more importantly Robin. read more

Now that I'm getting my hair cut and styled by Jessica at Evolution Salon, I've come to realize I can actually go out in public without being tormented by torch-bearing villagers screaming "Kill the monster!" Not to mention all the kids who pelted me with rocks and garbage. My old hair used to look like that of Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis, who still looks worse than Jeff Goldblum in the closing scenes of The Fly. But that's all in the past. Now I look amazing thanks to my killer hairdo, and the only problem I have is with people constantly mistaking me for David Beckham. (Or maybe it's Victoria Beckham. Honestly, it might be New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham. I'm not entirely sure.) Here's the point: Jessica is a wonderful stylist, and her customer service is exceptional as well. Evolution is an immaculately clean, attractive salon that's exceedingly well managed, with a friendly, professional staff. I can't recommend Jessica and the whole crew at Evolution more highly. Now you'll have to excuse me for the next six hours as I stare into a mirror to enjoy my rocking hairdo. read more

5 STARS FOR THE BALAYAGE/BLONDING QUEEN! Wow, where do I even begin?! Ayumi has always nailed my color whether it was going from brunette to dimensional blonde or to a full golden Cali blonde! But what I appreciate most about her isn't only her talent behind the chair but also how much she genuinely cares about me and my hair. She's always found the perfect balance between finding a color/style that works for me and my lifestyle while keeping it as healthy as possible. She was the first stylist to not give me my dream hair in the first visit because truthfully, my hair would've fallen off on the ground. Instead she worked with me to build a plan together where I could love the process along the way and now I have my dream hair and it is THRIVING! Do not sleep on getting in Ayumi's chair because let me just tell you, if you wait, you're going to be waiting awhile because she is about to blow up in Denver! Those who know me know that my hair is my LIFE! I LOVE my hair. I am always so skeptical to let anyone cut it that I rarely get a hair cut, maybe a trim once or twice a year. Katie Paregien came so highly recommended, I knew that when I decided to go from hair down to my belly button to a bob, I just had to try her. I was NOT disappointed! She cut off a good 12 inches that we were able to donate. I am so obsessed with my bob- it went to the base of my neck and was higher in the back than in the front. Katie did such a good job that I barely even need to blow dry or style it on days when I'm feeling lazy. After the hair cut, Katie styled my hair and showed me how to blow dry it straight or curl it. She gave great instruction and I feel like I can do anything with it! I will not be going anywhere else for a hair cut for a long time. The salon was also bright and clean. Probably the best experience I have had getting my hair cut and styled. I grew my hair out for about 3 years, and was at a length near about 2 ft. & change. My close friend recommended I check out the place he gets his hair done, talking about how the staff was very charming and welcoming. I got scheduled for an appointment with Kallie, who was very pleasant and sweet upon meeting. I explained that the original reason of growing my hair was just to donate, and it was high time I got my mop-top taken care of. Kallie had free reign over my styling and cut, but was kind enough to see how comfortable I was getting hair that I grew for so long cut, and how I like the style it was being shaped into. The entire experience was comfortable, warm and friendly. I donated my hair through the salon, absolutely LOVE having a new look, and will definitely be going back to visit Kallie for my next cut, as well as recommending Evolution to friends and family. read more

Seriously ... I don't go get my hair done really at all. I had a bad experience back in March at a place in alaska they made me feel bad about using box dye. Yes I know it's bad. My friend found this place so i came with her to get an undercut of my own. I explained my situation and how I wanted colour again and Britt was great she immediately was like "we can do that". Scheduled my appointment for the next week came in it was amazing. Super nice right off the bat Britt sat me down explained what we were going to do , kept a conversation, and I'm new to Colorado so I was super happy with her telling me places to go eat and such. But the final product was my hair. She did grey and fixed stuff that the last place messed up. I walked out of there feeling brand new and so happy. I have finally found "my" salon at Evolution. This salon is beautiful and super clean. I love my stylist Kaitlyn. All the staff is super knowledgeable, welcoming, and take their time to personalize your experience and LISTEN to your needs. They let you know what is realistic for your hair type, make suggestions to most flatter your face/hair type, and best of all, they give you a price BEFORE they start so there are no surprise charges at the end. They use Aveda products and are trained on the latest and greatest hair trends and processes. My highlights always grown out so beautifully thanks to Kaitlyns mad skills and my hair is in the best condition its been in years. Kaitlyn has been able to continue to bleach my hair while nursing back to health after a fry job at a different salon. Im so glad I foind Evolution Salon. What a beautiful salon, in a super cool location! I just wish it were closer to me so I could come more often. I followed Laurel here from another salon on south broadway where she was a master stylist. She does an absolutely fantastic job! Not only does she truly listen to your desires, she delivers! I've come to her with some crazy, homespun hair (to say the least) on multiple occasions. Not only did she deliver the exact results I was hoping for, but she made my hair infinitely more healthy in the process which has given it more freedom to grow. To top it off, every time I come in we have the most amazing conversations about deep, real world issues. We all know how hard it is to find someone that does your hair *just right*, and when you do, you stick with them! I've been with Randi for 2 1/2 years and have followed her from her previous place because she is AWESOME. I think she may have gotten her training at Hogwarts. Evolution is a beautiful salon full of beautiful, friendly, professionals. It's an Aveda salon, so everything smells good, and you can just tell that every customer walks out of there happy. I'm sure all the stylists are the bomb, but my heart is definitely with Randi; she's attentive and listens to what I want, sweet, super talented, and adorable (I play a game to try to guess what color her hair will be before I walk in ;-) ). Everything was perfect - from my walk in to the salon to the very end of my stay there. The staff at the reception desk were so nice and welcoming, helping answer all my questions, as this was my first time at the salon. My stylist, B., was amazing; she has magical hands not just with hairstyling but, man - she washed my hair and massaged the scalp like no one before! I felt so relaxed after the hair wash already. This review is for KALLIE! She is the most top notch person I've ever had cut and style my hair. She knows just what you need and how to tackle all the unique ways this head of hair likes to grow. She recently added barbering abilities to her tool bag. My look has the sides of barber's touch but the top is the sleek, softer look of a salon cut. She's the best of both worlds. AND she gives the best head and neck rubs. I was back in Denver this year to visit friends and scheduled a cut with Kallie because I could not pass up the opportunity. Ayumi is amazing!! I have extremely long, thick hair that turns brassy easily. Ayumi is always so patient and does full foils for me even tho it takes extra time. She is a master at removing brassiness too, other places Ive gone have toned it, but the brass returns after a few washes. Ayumi takes the time to really customize the toners and treatments she uses so my hair stays looking great all the way to my next appointment! Her highlights grow out beautifully too, there's never that harsh line of grow out at the scalp. When people find out I get my hair highlighted they are usually shocked to find out it's not my natural color (I wish right!), that's how well the highlights are placed. 5 stars for Ayumi and the whole experience at Evolution Salon is always great from check in to finish! read more

Found my spot! Just moved to Denver, and after 5 months resisting the breakup with my beloved hair guru in DC, I couldn't take it anymore and gave Evolution a try. Have to give a rave for Kaitlyn. I asked for a senior stylist because I'm really particular about my color and cut and she nailed it 100%. And she was lovely -- we had nice conversation and also quiet time just to relax without either feeling forced or awkward. I know that sounds strange, but when you're in a chair for hours getting your hair done, you need a balance right? The reception staff was on it too, helping me with products and makeup without trying to selling me (which basically ensures that I won't buy anything ) Polished organization and environment without being fussy. I found Evolution Salon online and called to try and get an appointment last minute after my stylist at another salon cancelled on me. They were able to get me in right away which I really appreciated as I had a trip coming up and wanted to get in before I left. I had an appointment with Kaitlin and wow did she do a fantastic job. I was not sure what exactly I wanted to do with my hair other than freshen it up and she did wonders. She took the time to really go over options with me and made the experience extremely enjoyable. They use great products that made my hair feel silky smooth and have an extremely friendly staff. I love this salon and will absolutely continue to use this place from now on. Let me start by saying, I am incredibly picky about my precious locks. I have thick, wavy, coarse hair and it's very challenging to cut and or dispense color onto. Lilly R. is the perfect hair stylist. She gets my cut and color every time and always listens to my picky details without getting frustrated. I've gone from long to short to long, dark brown to bright purple to light brown to dark again. My hair is always in tip top shape because she takes her time and is very knowledgeable about how to keep your hair as healthy as possible. Her blowouts stay for days and I always walk out of Evolution looking fabulous . She is super down to earth and very chill. She knows her stuff about products and isn't pushy. I have been coming to Evolution Salon to see Laurel for about a year now. Every time I come, I always have a great experience! Laurel is kind, easy to talk with, and really does a great job connecting with me. My hair has always been an unknown for me as a person, and she has really done a great job talking me through what would work well. Ever since I made the choice to come to Evolution Salon, I feel so much better about my hair. I am proud to say that I will continue to spend this time with Laurel! I'm REALLY picky about my hair! I get my hair cut less than once a year, I trim it myself and do my own color because most hair salons employ judgemental condescending people who are always giving me unwanted advice. Thank you but I have been dying my own hair for over 20 years and it has held up just fine, I take care of it, but most stylists feel the need to "educate me". Not Brianna, she listened to me and even washed my hair with a box of orange hair dye I brought in to brighten up my color. I like that she didn't pressure me into doing more than I came in for and told me that next time I want a hair cut, she'll be happy to work with me so I get exactly what I'm asking for and no judgement. This is a great salon with great service and a friendly staff. My stylist is Kristine she's terrific and always makes my experience at Evolution perfect! She's a very friendly and professional stylist who takes the time to do a thorough consultation at every appointment to make sure you are happy with your style and color. Her hair cutting and coloring skills are awesome my hair is really great throughout the whole time in between appointments. I never have any issues with faded color or grey hair poking through when I follow her styling and product recommendations. Kristine and all of the staff at Evolution Salon are awesome! My review for wonder stylist Amanda Anderson-first of all she is by far the most genuine and real human being out there in the universe so be sure to know she will not steer you wrong when it comes to YOUR HAIR! I'm a long time client and have followed Amanda for years as she is just AMAZING!! When I found Janet she really took her time assessed my situation asked me several questions and described her type of coloring and her technique. I honestly would have turned the whole thing over to her but we went slow. I am so happy with the color. It is beautiful and we are still doing a gradual move towards my goal. She listens and is a expert at understanding and allowing a client to guide her with their ideas while giving good advise and insight. I am grateful during COVID that Janet takes strong precautions and I felt very safe while under her care. She met me at the door we washed my hands my station was sanitized and she was very conscientious of the fact I am a health care provider. I look forward to my next service. Excellent in her craft!

Everyone LOVED their hair and mine was everything I wanted and more! Alisha is amazing, the other girls were amazing, and the service they provided was so nice! They traveled to the venue in Vail! Brought champagne, fruit, and laughed / sang songs all morning with me and my girls. It was truly a great start to my best day! If you're looking for a place go no further. They aren't set up for a traditional pedicure experience; it is a very thrown together set up. The lady didn't even know correct pricing (the pricing I was given was much higher than their website), she had a very hard time getting my old gel off (which is never an issue), I question if she was even qualified, none of the equipment was in cleaning solution or prewrapped (how many people had it been used on prior). I promptly ended, paid and left.
