So I decided to check out Clementine's. I was able to get in with Skylar that week and I haven't looked back since. She is so sweet and knowledgeable. She's always willing to give me her suggestions while my postpartum hair growth does whatever it wants to do! It's such a chill vibe and you can tell everyone seems to like one another. This review does not reflect the stylists at the salon. I had a good experience with both cut and color here and they use Loreal hair color which is hard to find in Denver. The reason for the low rating is due to my experience with the receptionist, and how it was handled by the salon manager. I came in for color and then had the stylist give me a trim on my ends after she dried and styled my hair. In most places, this is considered a fringe cut or trim. It is not a full haircut, and she did not do layering or spend time on texture. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. In my previous salon in SF, this was complimentary to clients in between cuts. Some salons do charge a nominal fee for it which is fine. When I went to check out the receptionist charged me for a full haircut, which I did not receive. When I brought this up, she was very aggressive, rude, and argumentative. She was in my face, yelling and saying I got a full haircut based on how they define it, but in practice, I did not receive a full haircut. This is not the way to talk to a customer. It was extremely uncomfortable to deal with her so I paid and asked the manager to call me back. I could have walked out without paying, but the issue was with the receptionist and not the stylist. When the manager called me back, she seemed understanding and refunded me the $15 difference. I had no idea while I was at the salon that this was the cost, and the fact that the receptionist was this wound up about it was ridiculous. I found out that the only way to get a dry cut is to go to a separate appointment, it can't be done on the same day as a color service. Also, they charge $15 less for it than a regular cut. So first, the receptionist was arguing over $15, and second, this service was inconvenient. I would not make a separate appointment for it in the future. So it's either pay for a full cut every time or skip it. Not sure why it's even on the menu when for $15 more you get a full cut and style. I had another appointment after that and the manager was there and checked me in and out. I had also booked my next appointment for six weeks out, right before my vacation. I got an email the day before that they were canceling it and I was not welcome at this location but I could go to the other locations. Those locations are about 25 minutes from my house. Also, I'm not going to support a business that does not have a customer-first approach and takes responsibility and accountability for their staff's poor behavior. They should have at the very least asked the receptionist to apologize rather than me needing to go to a new location. If this is how she acts with customers, they should consider replacing her, there is no way this is an isolated incident. Denver is very friendly and I have never had a bad experience here until this place. read more

It's so hard to find a hairstylist who truly understands what you want and delivers it consistently--but Katlyn nails it every single time! I've always wanted soft, natural-looking baby lights in a beautiful beige blonde, but with other stylists, my highlights would end up chunky and stripy, almost like zebra stripes with the mix of highlights and lowlights. Brianna is the best! I've been going to her for about 10 months now and I'm extremely happy every time I leave the salon. We've worked together over the last few sessions to achieve the summer baby lights I've been looking for, but I've consistently been in love with my hair every time I leave the salon. Price points are also extremely reasonable, especially for a major city! For a full highlight and cut I've paid over $400 at other salons and pay about half (before tip) at Clementine's. I came here and got full dimension and color by Caitlin and I absolutely loved it! The staff was super sweet, and the salon itself had such a cool rustic but cozy vibe. They had drinks available and played great music, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Caitlin! I will say however that their pricing was a bit confusing. I called ahead of time and checked the menu prices and was confirmed that a full dimension and color was $169, but somehow I walked out paying $240 before tip. I didn't question it at the time because I did not want to be rude and it was the end of the night, but next time I go I will be sure to make sure I'm on the same page with pricing. I was looking to go from a warm-toned partial highlight to a mostly platinum, cool-toned, full highlight. She has killed it every time! Each time my hair gets lighter and I LOVE it! ++ They use Bumble & Bumble and Kérastase products here. I hadn't used either before, but now I don't know if I can ever go back. My hair looks and feels so much healthier. ++ The salon is super cute! It's located in the LoHi area and has such a great vibe when you arrive. I went into this appointment a bit nervous. Through COVID and my existing anxiety I developed a disorder called trichotillomania, which is a disorder that causes you to pull out your hair whether it be in individual strands or in clumps. Because of this I had some spots that were thinner than others and I was nervous about how this appointment would go as my first time here. Needless to say, my anxieties were immediately relieved. Koral was so kind and didn't make a big deal out of it at all and reassured me that it was more common than one would think. I had single process all over color done to try and get back to my original color and it was perfect, I loved also that she did the metal detox on my hair because the hard water here in Colorado really messed me up, my hair never felt more revitalized and smooth. I highly recommend the metal detox. Needless to say, I'll be coming back to see Koral when needed and I'm thankful I found a new salon to go to regularly. read more
