Our family loves Evolve. Our oldest has been dancing here for 9 years, and the last 3 years has been part of the competitive teams. My daughter has been going to Evolve for a few months now. The dance instructors are wonderful - kind, welcoming, and seem to truly enjoy working with the dancers. The office staff is friendly. My three star rating is because: 1) Communication with parents is not good. General info., recital info., information that should be readily available, even on display, is not. 2) Parking is awful. The school is on the side of a strip mall, with very limited parking. In mild weather, this isn't a big deal. With winter in the mid-West, it's a problem. 3) Tuition is very overpriced. With all of that said, my daughter loves going to Evolve, and it helps keep her active, so we will stick with it, for now. **Update 7.Jul.16** Now that my daughter has gone through the experience of the classes, working up through the recital, my opinion of Evolve has changed a bit, and I felt an update was appropriate. I have taken my rating down to two stars, because: 1) As previously stated, Evolve is overpriced - way overpriced. Compared to other dance schools in the area, Evolve charges way more for classes / costumes / recital. Speaking of which the recital tickets were an obscene $17 per person (other schools in the area average $5 - $6 per ticket). 2) The office staff is not nearly as friendly as I previously thought. As time went on, I noticed that they are very friendly with all of the dancers, which is fantastic. However, they were less friendly with some parents. The atmosphere seemed very much like a high school clique. If your child (or children) attended several classes and you spend several thousand dollars at Evolve, the office staff are your best friends. If your child (or children) only attend one class (like mine), and you only spend around one to two thousand dollars, the office staff does not have time for you, and are flat out rude. 3) Communication continued to be lacking. Posters were put up with general info., but if you tried to talk with a receptionist, to clarify details, you got attitude, instead of polite responses. My daughter will not go back to Evolve. There are other good choices in the area that are much more reasonably priced, and treat their customers with common courtesy. read more
