After baby #1 I tried to get back into my work out routine line nothing happened and ended up in a world of hurt. For baby #2 I signed up for the "From the Core" program and glad I did. I was amazed at the difference I saw in strength in just 5 weeks and how it effected even small things like my posture and overall comfort. It was great to have a reason to get out of the house and to meet other mom's with baby's around my age. Hands down the best thing I did for myself after having my second child.

I enjoyed strengthening my core and whole body without working out too aggressively and risking injury post-baby. You learn a variety of exercises during each class and all of them can be scaled and done at home - you get print outs with all of the exercises. Coach C is awesome, very motivating and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise about fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing. It was reassuring to workout under her guidance as she provided helpful tips to correct form and posture. There really isn't anything that compares to this class if you want to get stronger and more fit after giving birth.

Avoid. Agree with the other reviews. This place was never phenomenal but it was decent. When LA…read moreFitness took over it went downhill immediately. The cleanliness standards have disappeared and they don't even have a way to wipe down equipment. The bathrooms are always full of overflowing trash. I asked on two separate occasions about the lack of spray/paper towels/sanitizer for the equipment. They say they're switching methods to "wipes" and "waiting on them to arrive." So I guess the place is just filthy until then. This gym is literally across the street from a Target. I'd rather not switch gyms but as we approach flu season this place is missing even the most basic of sanitary standards. Searching for an alternative.

So in order to cancel your member ship you have to send a letter - snailmail, to their office in Aurora, Illinois - certified or registered. They won't do it over the phone, and you can't do it in your profile on their website. I am absolutely cancelling my membership with XSport in South Barrington. #1 It's the worst run fitness center I've ever experienced. Machines are always broken, no one bothers to check memberships. People are walking in and just working out without scanning their barcodes. The management most of the time is sitting on their cell phones not paying attention to anything that is happening there. Basically, you're paying them to be on their cell phones during work. Worst management. #2. People sit on different machines and are on their phones for 30-60 minutes and no one from XSport bothers to ask them to move on or go someplace else. Management is not monitoring what is happening on the floor. #3. It's a filthy dirty place. Disgusting! Most of the time there are no paper towels or sanitizing spray. When you ask about it, management says they are out of paper towels or sanitizer! Way to go! #4. Increase our fees? I'm not going to pay another $5 a month to be a part of this filthy poorly managed organization, who the manager could care less about the cleanliness and appearance of South Barrington XSport. I find it appalling that I have to spend money to send this "cancel my membership" via registered or certified mail to the tune of $10.00. XSport was terrible 12 years ago and still is.

Customer Appreciation Day? More like UNAPPRECIATED. I have never been more insulted in an…read moreestablishment before. I am not one to complain of anything at all. I respect workers in customer service and the stress that comes with it. BUT sometime SOME KIDS can't wrap their heads around the fact that THEY ARE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's in the damn title - you serve the customer. My experience at this LA Tan location was beyond the worst that I have dealt with. I tan somewhat regularly because I have a package. Usually go to Geneva or St. Charles. I decided that before I picked my kid up from basketball practice, I would sneak a quick tan in. I saw they were $3 tans so why not? Dear Sugar Grove, whoever the little child you have "working" in your establishment is not very fit for the customer service world. I do not think she is ready for such a big girl job... I was given dirty looks the entire time she helped me, her attitude just reeked, like I was an inconvience to her? She tried to oversell me things I expressed to her I did not want, then she mumbled something then went to clean the bed I was being put in. When I went in there, I was HORRIFIED. Smudges, drips of lotion on the floor and stool, fingerprints almost covered the entire bed!! What looked to be a brown substance was on the bottom edge of the bed... ARE YOU SERIOUS??? have never seen such filth in such a personal place. I really didn't want to make a scene by asking her to reclean it (since she obviously didn't do it the first time). Luckily, I had some hand sanitizer in my purse and literally had to wipe EVERYTHING myself with the towel and hand sanitizer. At least I knew then it was "cleaner". I was regretting every decision I made prior to this, but I was on a time crunch at this point and I just spent $3 and some change on a higher level tan. I didn't expect such awful service and a filthy environment before walking in because there are really good reviews about this place. I didn't even want to put ANY of my belongings on that greasy stool they have in the room... After I tanned, I was going to confront this girl about all of what I went through. But she suddenly disappeared! Nowhere to be found! There was another girl there who seemed to be really busy, but it wasn't her who I wanted to talk to! She wasn't the one who helped me! I should have went to her had I known the treatment I would've gotten from this literal teenager(I am even considering if she is even a teen, she looks about 15). I thought about even calling the health department!!! But again, I am not one to complain about alot or blow things up. I'm here to tell you DO NOT COME HERE! Go to Geneva or St. Charles where you'll actually feel safe enough to place your jacket on a coat hanger... Go anywhere else at this point! After picking up my kid, I raced home and showered because I felt absolutely disgusting. I feel like I can still feel a film all over my body. I do not want compensation, I do not want to speak with ANYONE except to spread awareness of this filth and utter disrespect I received. Definitely not a very APPRECIATIVE DAY FOR A CUSTOMER.

I've had the pleasure of working closely with this powerhouse of a studio, and I can confidently say: these are not only fantastic people, but even better performers and teachers. From the second you step into the studio, you feel it--the warmth, the joy, the unapologetic confidence that this community radiates. Tease isn't just a fitness studio, it's a safe haven where LGBTQ+ individuals, people of all body types, and dancers of every skill level are not just welcomed, but celebrated. Their message is clear: Everyone deserves to feel powerful in their body. Their instructors are simply top-tier. Whether it's burlesque, pole, chair, flexibility, or heels--you're learning from seasoned professionals who are at the top of their game. But what truly sets them apart is their ability to uplift others. They don't just teach movement--they help you reclaim your confidence and own your story through dance. Their commitment to community goes beyond the studio walls. You'll often find Tease performers lighting up the stage at The Bit Theater, just a few doors down in the same Aurora complex. The Bit is known for being a diverse, inclusive comedy and performance venue, and the partnership between the two is a beautiful reflection of shared values: accessibility, authenticity, and a fierce celebration of individuality. I've watched Tease's performers bring down the house with jaw-dropping routines that mix precision with pure personality--and I've seen their teachers guide beginners with patience, humor, and genuine care. That kind of balance is rare, and it's why so many people--from across Aurora and Naperville--flock here not just to train, but to belong. If you're searching for a studio that is inclusive, empowering, LGBTQ+ friendly, and deeply rooted in the Naperville/Aurora performing arts scene, Tease Dance & Fitness is it. Whether you're learning to walk in heels or preparing for the stage, this studio meets you where you are--and then helps you soar. Tease is more than a dance and fitness studio--it's a movement, a family, and a fierce force for good. Highly, highly recommended.
