The classroom is bright, happy and well equipped. The outdoor area is amazing and allows the children to experience nature and play. The "Buddies Program" with the 10 & 11 year olds is amazing. Each preschooler gets a "Big Buddy" that reads to them once a week and celebrates holidays and other special events with them. The bonds created are wonderful and go beyond anything I have seen any where else. Spectrum also offers before and after school care in a safe and naturing environment. Nothing wrong with those specific ones but she just never really adjusted. Big Barn has been so understanding and helpful. She comes home every afternoon with a smile on her face. She's learning and making friends. Couldn't ask for more. They're very communicative and flexible. I wish I would have found them sooner. They are super affordable if you are looking to get your child into daycare and preschool. Definitely a hidden gem. Couldn't be happier.

I cannot say enough good things about the well rounded education my kids are receiving at Da Vinci. Waldorf has instilled such creativity and a deep love of learning in both of my children. They are not just learning facts and numbers. They are learning how to learn and how to think and do and create as well. My favorite example is when my older child started reading. He recently found a series of books he is just devouring. But, on top of his voracious reading, he is also applying the hands on skills he is learning at Waldorf by drawing his own images for the series and he is even now writing and binding his own stories. I am the owner of a technology company. When I see my son and daughter learn a skill, then make the connection to roll up their sleeves and create something on their own, I get a big smile on my face and it shows me that they know how to apply the things they are learning. I know my kids (like all kids) have an innate passion and curiosity for learning and the Da Vinci Waldorf School is the perfect place to help it grow.

All arriving and departing at the same time. That for some reason creates an excitement. 2. It's old fasioned. I can't explain it but it's a good thing! 3. My child is learning so much! There is time for play as well but I'm amazed at how much he has learned in such a short time. I think it is the routine of it all. 4. My child is begging to go. I mean jumping up and down excited to go to school. This makes me want to jump up and down as well because I know that this is where the passion to learn starts!

Miss Pong, the director, has been great. When my first son was there, and I was a nervous mom, she was very kind and reassuring. Miss Melissa took the time to help him out of his shell and encouraged him to have fun with his friends. I knew I was leaving my kids in the best hands. I was very impressed with the education they received. My second son told me all about palindromes! When I asked Miss Anne if I was hearing him correctly, she told me that it was something she told the class, in a very basic way. But he retained that knowledge and now he likes to tell me when it's 11:11 and "that's a palindrome mom!" The facilities are very good, I liked the layout very much. The playground is just the right size for little kids, the fence around it is very reassuring with little kids running all over! I also really appreciated the security of getting into the building. I wish our grammar school had that system. I have a third son, who is too young for the program. I have no doubts where he will be going when it's his turn.
