I usually stop by Evolve when I am waiting for my appointment next door at Willow Salon and Spa. I have to say, I am never disappointed and usually end up leaving with too many things that I just couldn't live without! A few of my favorites are the macrame air plant hangings, the AWESOME selection of candles (I am a candle hoarder), the perfume and soaps, and the selection of TOMS shoes (I have seen styles here that I haven't found anywhere else). I have never had a bad experience customer service wise - the sales associates are always welcoming. It's a good thing I don't live in the North End because if I did, my house would be furnished with their home goods and my wallet would be empty. Keep doing what you're doing, Evolve!!! read more

Adorable shop filled with custom painted and designed furniture, home decor and other creative treasures. I stopped in to pick up some Annie Sloan chalk paint for a few projects I had going on and could have left with much more if I wasn't in such a rush. This shop is pretty and inspiring and features local artist's work ranging from funky to sweet. Customer service was great, the gal working was very sweet and helpful. read more

The Good: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The Bad: Way over priced! Cute little shop, they carry a few specialty items, but not very diverse. I like Annie Sloan paint - so I went in for that. I LOVE antiques, and they had some nice ones, but the prices were really high for not-so-special refurbished antiques. I also had the same experience as Hailey...very rude person behind the counter. As for comparing to IKEA....I was actually comparing to similar stores with similar items at charming stores in Sumner; that carry comparable items and where the people are friendly. This little shop is adorable. All of my favorite things... Candles! Clothes! Home decor! The ladies working there were very friendly while I was in the shop, informative but not pushy. Cutest tops and dresses too. Cliche boutique pricing but you can tell the garments are really high quality and will stand the test of time. I love this store! Things Evolve is great for: 1. Pop in for a quick gift: I can always find something super nice for a gift whenever I need one, and a pretty card, too! 2. Wallpaper: I have placed two Hygge & West wallpaper orders and have been super pleased with the service. They also have the sample books there if you want to touch it before you buy. 3. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint: I just bought the Barcelona Orange and the wax and the proper brush, and Cindy was so helpful with instructions at time of purchase, as well as several follow up questions over email. 4. Fun décor items to finish off a project: I recently painted my breakfast nook and needed an extra bit of zhush to finish off the project, so I popped into Evolve. I found a beautiful window hanging, a copper pot, and a pretty jar, and instantly felt like the room had been redesigned. read more

If you have been searching and searching for an upcycled furniture boutique, look no further. I recently moved to the area and have been scourging for a boutique just like this. Everywhere I've ever lived, I've always been able to find "my store." A store that has one-of-kind hand painted furniture, cute trinkets, and superb customer service. It would become my own little slice of paradise during stressful weeks, break ups, and when I needed that soothing feeling of getting out and having a "treat yo self" kind of day. It would be my own interpretation of Holly Golightly's adoration for Tiffany's because nothing bad could ever be associated with such a lovely place. It would be my little nest of good feelings and cozy carry-Starbucks-around-the-divinely-scented-store-while-pursuing-to-my-internal-musings-and-shopping-in-silky-silence. Simply put; Heaven. Like the romantic notion of falling in love, when I sailed into Evolve today, I just knew I had finally found "my store." The aroma of luxury Voluspa candles (a personal and hard-to-find favorite), cute Kate Spade stationary, handmade sparkly jewelry, stylish upcycled furniture (no kitsch here), and hand selected accent pieces dazzled like diamonds in long lost jewelry box. But as anyone knows, two important things can ruin a store like this: customer service and pricing. Too high with rigid price tags? Ok, now this is a place I will wander around and never come back to, because why the hell would I waste my time in such an unaffordable palace? And not to mention, feel like a little raggedy peasant in such a snobby boutique. But Evolve, was actually affordable, had SALES going on and a loyalty card!!! (500 points=$20 off!) That's a pillow or a candle right there! Then they had the last crucial piece of the puzzle: AWESOME customer service! They were so nice, professional, and helpful. I was there for over 2 hours trying to envision my new master bedroom and they helped me every step of the way. Not pushy or condescending, but really genuine and considerate. By the time I checked out, I felt like we were all dear friends. Evolve is a gemstone in a landfill full of cubic zirconia. Definitely go. You won't be disappointed. I pass Evolve several times a week either in my car or on foot. Great location. Their window displays always look inviting and beautiful. Today I stopped in during my neighborhood walk about. Thank goodness I did not have my wallet! They have a wonderful and interesting array of items. Definitely will be back in the next few days to purchase several things because I am worried the holidays may deplete the cool stuff. Not sure why people complain about the customer service. I like being able to wonder about a store without someone micro managing my shopping. The women behind the counter were very kind when I did speak to them. This is a great find and local. Charming store! I am a huge fan of the Voluspa Candles and the beautiful furniture! I disagree that it is over priced, I think for a boutique store, and the location, the prices are very fair. If a piece is made by hand, or is an antique, it should be priced accordingly, which I feel this store does well. Remember, this is a boutique, not Ikea. The furniture that they carry is so beautiful, I recall a robins egg, blue dresser that had been dipped in gold! Stunning piece. is it possible to live in this store? if so, I'd like to. everything at evolve is so gorgeous! I probably spent an hour just wandering around in circles, making lists in my head for Mother's Day, my birthday, etc, and the staff is very sweet and knowledgable. the girl who was there when I was answered a ton of my questions about the paint they carry and gave me suggestions on what to use it for. I had my 2 year old son with me and he was worrying me the whole time, (what will he break?!) and I think most store employees would look at me like "GET your kid OUT OF HERE!" but they were really kind about it and didn't make me feel embarrassed. that being said, maybe don't bring toddlers in here. there is a lot of cute colorful stuff that they will insist on carrying around and rearranging. I plan to be back really soon, child free, to start checking things off my list! read more

Unimpressed and disappointed with the communication here. I purchased a dresser and was told that it would take 5-10 business days and it took nearly a month. The dresser was painted and upon pickup I noticed how the details were overlooked. After waiting so long I just wanted to get it home. I will fix the problems and warn my friends about the lack of customer service and attention to details. Will not return. read more

Cute store but scary customer service. I went here with my family on Friday late afternoon. A few other people had also been looking in the store, one lady was looking at the paint. I feel all of us in the store felt awkward when trying to ask the girl behind the counter a question. I hope she was just having a bad day, it was very nice outside so maybe she just really didn't want to be at work. It was like pulling teeth to get her to answer anyones question, she seemed very short and annoyed. Needless to say, I went to another store not too far away Euphemeral Designs to make my purchase. No way would I give out hundreds of dollars to a local store who seems to not want my money. read more

Finally stopped by to take a look around when I saw Toms in the window. I was very impressed with the variety of items. I ended up buying a hat, necklace, jeans and vest. I am giving this store a 1 star review based on the fact that I drove a long distance to get the Annie Sloan paint. But they had only 6 colors in, and only 1 or 2 of containers of each color. None in the back and they said no more shipments for a week. I said "wow, you guys must of had a rush on paint recently" she replied " nope". She was nice and the shop was cute, but not a lot to it. Very minimalist. So my 1 star is based on the fact that I don't ever fill the need to go back and that it was a waste of time to go the fist time. read more

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for full design services (i.e. thousands of dollars.) Paid invoices immediately for time sensitive rugs and furniture but she failed to order items at all blaming the manufacturer for delay. Dash & Albert rugs ship in 48 hours, 30 day returns, no shipping and no tax. Ordering online is less expensive, you get the rugs faster and 30- refund policy. Cindy refused to take anything back at all, claiming custom orders can't be returned - however all rugs are standard sizes and shipped immediately. These rugs were "sold" hard and one had been sitting in store, yet refused to take it back without threatening legal action. Furniture was damaged in delivery and she took no responsibility whatsoever and tried to have me work with the shipping company directly. Design recommendations were based on the handful of online stores and manufacturers she makes the most money, not based on client lifestyle, budget or taste. Furniture was not ordered correctly, way overpriced and not even to specifications. The entire ordeal was so egregious it doesn't seem possible someone would treat a high paying customer so poorly. Cute store if you are buying a candle or a pillow, just don't expect to take anything back... and definitely not a professional designer. read more
