Terrible experience. I don't recommend this place. About a month ago I came here to get a pedicure. The price is higher than other places, but I was okay with that because I initially liked the service. However, when I went to pay, the woman who did my nails seemed upset about the tip. I said thank you and bye she didn't reply. I decided to give the salon another chance because it's close by. Unfortunately, this time the pedicure was poorly done. The corners of my toenails were not properly cleaned or cut, and there is still nail polish on my skin, and my nails hurts. Now I need to spend money again going to another place to fix it. Horrible experience here!! From day one I was treated poorly as a customer but was hoping to remedy the situation with patience, kindness and getting down to what the problem was. I was being charged more and more for the same services and even had to show my bank statements each time to prove what I had paid for the same service just weeks ago. Initially I received an apology from Evelyn, but that was short-lived as she yelled at me today and over charged me. She told me to view the price board in which I did and repeated the price which was listed for less than what I was being charged. She told me "oh well", and that I was being difficult. This was so unprofessional and un honest. Not sure how long they will remain open and operating with poor ethical practices. I would stay away from this place. Great experience today. Emme did my nails and pedicure. I got a full set with gel polish and gel polish pedicure. She is so meticulous. Goes back and checks her work over and fixes anything needing fixing. Seems like a perfectionist, in the best way. I'm so happy with my nails and pedicure. ANTI BLACK ESTABLISHMENT I was treated as my dollars count for nothing and they have been conditioned to treat black women with disregard and disdain. I was spoken to in a demeaning manner. I have every right to be treated with respect as a consumer and this establishment does not do this with black women. Went in and requested the "manager" (whom I believe is the owner, but was told she is not although in the past she told me she is) and was handed off to another tech because she said she does not do UV gel, I was fine with that. I asked if I could get a soak off and overlay as I wanted to preserve my actual nail. I was told that they could not do that with UV gel and that she could file down and put new gel on top. Two days later I notice my nail is lifting and proceed to call on the fourth day to see if I could get a touch up was told by the "manager" that I needed to wait till the young lady came back next week, I let her know that I was going out of town and couldn't do that she went on to tell me that I had to wait till the girl comes back. There was no customer service only or solution offered just a snide remark of, were you not happy when you left. I asked her to cancel my next appointment and she then proceeds to hang up in my face. First of all this is not my first time at the establishment and I've had apprehensions about getting services done here, as in the past I felt that I was treated indifferent being a black woman and not of Hispanic/Latina descent but my first experience was so good I tried to overlook it. I had an appointment on Aug 26th here for the first time and loved how my nails were done. I made an appointment for a little over two weeks later and was so excited to go. I watched the nail tech write my name in the decided date in the book and my number down too. My appointment was yesterday, Sept 13, and it was closed. I waited for 30 mins thinking it must've been a mistake. I finally went home and called in the morning. The person I spoke to was completely rude and unprofessional. Firstly telling me they've been closed on Tuesday's for 2 months. Great! Why was my appointment scheduled for then if you're closed on Tuesday's? She then says that my name "Kim" (that's not my name) is nowhere in the book. I ask her to check again for my actual name because the nail tech wrote my name and number down. She says it's nowhere and it must've been erased. Ok, fine. So I ask why I wasn't called before my number was erased and she so rudely responds how are we going to call when we're closed on Tuesdays? Girl. Be for real. She also threw the nail tech who wrote me in under the bus saying "I don't know what she was thinking". She tells me with an attitude to come and check the books for myself because my name isn't anywhere there!! Anyway- I would've been glad to reschedule a new appointment because people make mistakes. But the way I was treated and spoken to on the phone was so gross so I will never be coming here again. I don't need to be gaslit on the phone and made to feel crazy for being upset. She ended the call quickly hanging up on me telling me there's nothing they can do after I said I didn't want to reschedule. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!! I got my nails done in here today and I was not pleased. First for the pedicure, my water was SCALDING and left my feet red. They did not cut my nails straight either. When I got to my manicure I felt as though I was being pushed out of the salon. I showed my technician a picture of the nails I wanted and after seeing how detailed hers were I felt confident that I would receive a similar outcome. Much to my surprise, my nails turned out horrible and she did not ask me till they were done if I liked them. At this point I had wasted so much time in the salon that I did not want to sit there any longer. The whole thing was a ridiculous price and later in the day I had to match a color to the nails to cover up the brutality that was left by the technician. This was my second time going to Evys and I remember the first time was not as bad. Horrible job, I am sad I wasted so much money in here today and my nails look like absolute trash and if I allowed my customer to go out with those nails, I would be embarrassed! UPDATE: Evelyn reached out to me and gave me a phone number to text a picture of my nails to so that we could resolve the situation. After I texted her the picture she blocked me from messaging her on yelp. I then proceeded to call her, she answered my call but would not answer my text even though she told me to text her. This whole situation has been a flabbergasting experience and I hope that no one has to suffer through the time and pain this salon has made me suffer through. Their customer service is atrocious. When a customer complains you cannot just block their complaints and try to bribe them to take off their yelp comment. This was my second time going to Evy nails and I have decided to write about them because my experience has been so great. I have now had Joseline do my nails twice and she is GREAT! Very personable, great conversation and great nail advice. I was looking for red nails for the new year and wanted sparkles, but when I told her my idea she said red with sparkle on top would look like a little girls nails. She advised that I get just one sparkle nail instead. The gel manicure (though it was a bit of a wait because they were short staff) was fast (25 mins) and perfect! I'm so happy with my nails and having just moved to the area I'm really excited to my Evy my go to nail place. Their color selection is great and their place is clean. My nail tech explained that my services would be $55, okay no problem. I hand her my card and did not ask for a receipt. When I got home I noticed an additional charge on my mobile banking app!! If there is going to be a surcharge for using a card it needs to be CLEARLY stated on the counter or verbalized to the costumer BEFORE swiping my card!! I traveled out of my way to try this place out but if they are not going to be honest with costumers I will NOT be returning! I made an appointment here two weeks in advance for a wedding party of 5. The morning of, we show up 10 minutes early and they're overbooked. There were only 6 employees working, and there was another wedding party of 8 who'd also had an appointment - but who had been waiting for over an hour already! And in the face of all those appointments (that's 13 appointments on the books and 6 people working, which is already trouble), they had people not in either wedding party at several of their stations. When we checked in, the lady told us to give them 20 minutes and they'd be ready for us, but then she walked away and wouldn't talk to me anymore. 20 minutes?! With 5 other women already waiting and 5 of us to do? Not gonna happen. No explanations nor apologies offered; the one woman who spoke to us immediately ignored us, and no one else ever even looked our way. We had to scramble at the last minute - and the day before my best friend's wedding, no less - to find another place. Bottom line: it doesn't matter how good your work is if your customer service is crap. Don't take appointments if you're not going to honor them. read more

So I was in town visiting my cousin and we decided to go to her regular nail salon to get our nails done. Let me just tell you that this place is a hidden gem. They are very clean and follow COVID guidelines. The staff is amazing. They were very nice and made me feel right at home like I was one of their regulars. The quality of work was also very good. You might have to wait a few minutes passed your scheduled time but it's worth the wait. They take their time and you can tell they really enjoy what they do because it shows in the quality of their work. Can't wait to come back in town so I can schedule another appointment! read more

Really disappointed after seeing all these good reviews. I got my first gel manicure here after seeing all the wonderful reviews and pics. I'm usually picky about getting my nails done, personally think I do them better than any nail tech. Once again I was disappointed. The gel manicure came out lumpy and thick. When she removed my cuticles she went way too deep and removed some skin as well (I bled a little, thankfully it didn't get infected). My nails are naturally thick and long but when I removed the gel (soaked off) they were peeling in layers...I basically have to grow them out all over again (maybe this is a side effect of gel? Idk). No one seems to be able to handle natural nails nowadays. Edit: it seems the owner (or one of technicians) thought it appropriate to privately message me with a passive aggressive response. I was in the area for Thanksgiving wknd at my Dad's house and desperately needed a manicure. Of course I turn to yelp and Evy's had good reviews so I tried it out. I called first to see if they do gel powder but they don't as of yet. I settled for color gel manicure which was $25. The staff were very friendly from the beginning and the nail salon is very clean. I didn't know who was good or the best so I just stepped out on faith. I ended up with Cindy and I am soooooo glad I did. She was very nice, personable, accommodating, and I love my nails. She did a great set for me and she paints well. The only thing I don't like about this salon is the color situation. In the city when you're choosing a color, they put it on an artificial nail so that you can place it on your nail to see if you like the color against your skin. At this salon, the colors were just lined up on the wall so you had to open the bottle to see the color. It was a little time consuming and annoying because sometimes the color doesn't even come out the way it looks. Other than this issue, I was pleased. read more

Came in the first time, got my nails done by Cindy who was amazing and then got my nails done by Kelly who I had a little problem with because my nail cracked (without doing anything) and after my nails started lifting very quickly. Mind you I have acrylics which are supposed to be very strong and long lasting. She had an attitude and refused to do my nails from then on so I tried to get Evy to do my nails who apparently is over booked and cannot take appointments ever...? I find that to be complete bs since I'm a freelance makeup artist and I know how getting booked completely can be crazy but that doesn't mean you deny the customer a month from then or two months... They are overpriced for NO reason and I have been getting my nails done for 3 years straight (acrylics) like who charges $3 extra for a fill just because the nails are long... Regardless this place claims that they are all self employed and entitled to say or treat the customers however they want (Evy's words on the phone to me) I'm so disappointed in the lack of customer service here. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody because of how poor the service is. Sad to say I'll never send another customer here or come back myself. read more

Eh. Gel manicure. To get old gels off, they soak your fingers in solution. I prefer the cotton ball tin foil approach, i hate my fingers soaking in chemicals. They also soak you in plain water and I don't like that either because it makes my nails feel so weak. Colors as noted by others aren't on samples, you have to literally open a million bottles to see colors. They have a few swatches out but it's hard to make heads or tails of what is sampled and what you have to open. She didn't do an awesome job (idk who the tech was but it wasn't Evy). I had one broken nail that she tried to glue back together or whatever that powder is, but it didn't hold and she just ignored it. Two days later it's about to break back off. A few of my other nails are kind of sloppy - polish on cuticles and so on. Two got messed up somehow during the curing process - she says I must have touched the machine but I've been getting gels for years and can't imagine how I did it but anyway - she just slapped another clear coat on. At my normal salon, they'll completely redo the nail to make it perfect. So, both my thumbs look sort of wrinkled. I don't overly care, but I am noting the general lack of attention to detail. It felt like everyone knew everyone, very friendly atmosphere but no one was especially friendly to me. I would only go back if I couldn't make it to my normal salon, as that's what led me here to begin with. A shame because this location is much more convenient for me. read more

The second time I went was about a week ago, and I got a gel manicure. I went into Evy Nails with high expectations due to the raving reviews I had read. These expectations were not nearly met. The salon REEKED of chemicals. I sat down in the chair for my pedicure, and the water was FRIGID. My pedicure was rushed and did not include a massage. I asked the technician, whom was not even wearing a name tag, to trim my toenails, and she didn't. I could barely communicate with her. I had to step outside between my pedicure and manicure because I received a phone call being informed my grandfather had passed away. I was RUSHED through this devastating phone call by the technician who kept coming outside to try to hurry me. I finally sat down for my manicure, and asked for a natural looking ombré nail. She said I can do that, and then had to ask around about how. Three nails in, I realized it was going to be disastrous and asked for an American French instead. She seemed very annoyed as she scrubbed the previous polish off my nails. In the end, it wasn't even an American French, my tips were white as snow! In addition, the lines weren't even straight. About two hours later, I was in the car, and noticed that one of my GEL fingernails was already peeling! I spent over $70, so I think it's fair to expect a little better quality. Once I got my nails done I noticed my cuticles were not tended to, I walked back in and was spoken to like a child and asked "why I wasn't paying attention". My cuticles were fixed but two day later the ANC chipped off which has never happened. I returned to have all five nails fixed and Evelyn was not polite nor did she apologize. The salon is beautiful and clean. The staff are very professional and friendly. Kelly is so lovely and my nails came out beautiful. She was super nice and actually gave me some cookies because I was starving and had forgotten to eat that day! You can tell that the staff actually cares about their clients unlike many of the other places around here.
