On the fourth floor is QMCWest Ortho and Rehab Center. How convenient!!! It's a one stop place! See your orthopedist and follow up if needed with a physical therapist on the same floor. Appointments for both areas can be made with the ladies at the front desk. Long gone are the ping pong games between different phone numbers, providers and locations. Easy! Annndd: they have X-ray available in ortho too! No CT scan or MRI at this office (that'll have to be done through QMC's Imaging Department and actual procedure(s) to be done at one of their several locations. Front staff have been so helpful and friendly! Physicians are good! From the group I have personally worked with many of them on a professional basis and attest to their capabilities and bedside manner. There are a few new orthopods that are new to me but so far so good with Dr. Chen (fingers crossed). On the rehab side I've been pretty pleased and impressed with my PT's demeanor and treatment. Another plus to be treated here: FREE parking!

When you arrive, you will notice it's a mobile office which is super convenient and I learned Shane will even come to your home if you wanted! The session itself was very interesting and soothing and the cupping was not uncomfortable at all. He also place a vibrating foam roller which helped my neck. After the cupping he also massaged my scalp and then finished it w/ a light therapy where I sat in front of bright lights that felt warm on my face. The entire session lasted for 30 min. Let me tell you, knowing what I experienced today I wished I tried this when I first learned about it because it felt like my sinuses opened up and the pressure valve was released! Extremely frustrating experience with Central Oahu Physical Therapy in Aiea…read more When Central Oahu Physical Therapy received my referral for lumbar pain, I waited an entire month just to begin treatment. I was scheduled for four weekly sessions, with my final appointment on 3/31/2026, where the physical therapist was supposed to evaluate whether I needed continued care. However, it makes no logical sense to have an evaluation when there are no further appointments available with the same physical therapist until May -- over a month away. This completely defeats the purpose of the evaluation and continuity of care. I spoke with the telephone receptionist, who also acts as the office manager. Her primary role is reception, yet she presented herself as if she were a decision maker. When I asked to have the owners call me, I was told to look them up on the website. She is not an owner and cannot make final decisions. The owners never called me. Instead, Physical Therapist Erin deNeeve Baum, an employee of Central Oahu Physical Therapy, called and left a message. I chose not to return the call because I did not want to speak with her. Oahu is a very small business community, and in a situation like this, a professional and concerned owner would have made a courtesy call. That did not happen. This office appears to have a serious breakdown in communication between the physical therapists and the front office. Rather than coordinated patient care, it feels like a system where patients are moved through a set number of visits without clear follow-through or continuity. It gives the impression that the focus is on bringing in more patients and generating revenue rather than providing effective, continuous care After four visits -- the first being mostly measurements and only three visits with minimal exercises -- I am still not better. Quite frankly, this was a waste of time. A friend shared exercises given by her own physical therapist that have been more helpful. Also, with today's technology, you would expect more modern patient support. Instead of printed paper exercise sheets, there should be access to a digital platform with guided videos and progress tracking. These types of exercises are easily found online, which makes the lack of added value from this office even more disappointing. If you are considering physical therapy, do your research and look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution against choosing Central Oahu Physical Therapy. You may end up frustrated, delayed in your care, and no better off than when you started. Patients deserve far better.

I was mortified to ask my OBGYN for a referral to PT and had done so 3 years ago, but that failed bc the PT then was only open weekdays when I had to go to an intense job and since I switched insurance, that PT wanted a new referral from a new doctor. Fast forward to a stable job with great insurance, and I felt brave enough to ask my OBGYN for a referral for my hypertonic pelvic floor dsyfunction. Normally, I would not announce this on the internet but I was always told kegels, kegels, kegels to fix my pelvic issues. And to my surprise, NOPPPPEEE. I needed to learn to relax and then strengthen. I'm writing this in case anyone else is looking for issues with this problem and wants to find real relief and help. Thanks to JACO's scheduling team, scheduling appts via phone call or text was a breeze. And my PT Abby taught me so much in the six months I had with her. While I'm a work in progress, I gained so much confidence and awareness in learning more about certain muscles that the doctor's office and youtube never could have helped me with. Abby was kind, patient, and really listened in each session to help me figure out next steps. And I was so grateful to be able to see her on Saturdays.

I first went to an urgent care that said I may be back to normal in 4-6 months. Nicole's care has made me feel as if I'm going to be back to "normal" a lot sooner. My sessions at Laulima PT with Nicole DPT, have reduced my pain significantly, helped relax the muscles in my back and legs, reduced my sciatica pain, helped me with stretching, and given me confidence through education on exercises, postures and postioning. I leave every session with a reduction of pain, confident I've learned something new, relaxed by Nicole's calm, professional demeanor and happy I made the decision to give physical therapy a try.
