Found Ewa Movers on Yelp for a last minute move and they happened to be available for a small move. Martin was very responsive and provided clear information on what to expect. Unfortunately on moving day, the guys were late which affected our use of the condo elevators/ reservations. The movers were polite and nice, but I can't say they were efficient. I talked to Martin and he did not charge me for the extra time they took since it was not my fault. Also, my tv screen was shattered upon delivery. Ewa does have some insurance coverage so I was able to recover a small portion, which was pretty prompt. It wasn't a stress-free move, but Martin really seemed to care so I appreciate that. They required a 3-hr minimum for 2 people plus a truck which made it a little pricey for me but were able to accommodate my "I need you in 2 days!" timing. The agreed upon time to show up changed from am to pm but I was called in advance to insure that was OK and it actually worked in my favor to insure I was packed up before their arrival. The guys that arrived worked efficiently and quickly. A fully packed fabric laundry bag was dragged and one of the fabric handles was broken. You would expect them to know not to drag items. The young man half-heartedly offered to replace it. I'm still thinking on is it worth pursuing. Overall, I'm pleased with the fact that they showed up when agreed, moved efficiently, and accommodated my change in drop-off location which actually lessened their time and work load. The whole job took one hour from start to finish. One reason I don't like 3-hr minimums being applied to ALL jobs. read more

Not only did she have a lot of stuff to move but she was on the 3rd floor with no elevator access and a long walk to get things in and out. Two guys, sio and heman delivered 2400 pounds of steel tubs over a rough dirt patch. Super strong, were really committed to getting the delivery inside, under cover when it would have been standard practice to just leave it right next to the road if there wasn't a concrete pathway. Instead they went above and beyond and hauled this huge weight through dirt and gravel with a dolly even though it made it super difficult. Martin responded very fast and with the best one i could work with..Very professional, quick, efficient, and very respectful. Nothing too heavy or too difficult for them to move. One example is a very narrow walkway, maybe 4 ft wide with 12 kids roller skating around you while you are trying to get a sofa through the tight area and up the stairs to the second floor. The dining table can't fit through the door? No problem, they will disassemble and assemble if needed. Just gotta let them know in advance. If it dont fit, they will make it fit with tender love and care. They will handle your belongings as if it were theirs.
