I forget the movers names but they were both prompt, handled my items delicately with care, didn't take their sweet time they worked very very hard, disassembled and reassembled a near 50 year old antique silik hutch that I have inherited , they moved everything exactly where it needed to be in my new place, were very polite and respectful and did not damage anything or steal at all. I've dealt with another moving company in the past where I suspected some jewelry went missing. They are the quickest at responses, very reasonable pricing, flexible with their schedules, all in all I am very satisfied and have asked them to move another thing for me as well. 10/10 recommend. If you use them, make sure you protect your own furniture by wrapping it well. This is the mistake I made. Also our tv was damaged, no cracked screen, we just have a vertical line during certain images on the left edge of the screen now. It was an expensive oled, we spent over 4k for it. They didn't use the box I purchased and assured me would be better out of the box. My fault for not insisting on using the box. Our tv stand suffered minor dings, like paint chips, I was able to cover it up with some touch up paint so no big deal. I would recommend them if you protect your own items well.

Everything worked out perfectly and I honestly could cry... They were SO kind, thorough, professional, and handled all of my items with care. They took apart so much furniture and put it all back together seamlessly. They even helped me before they left to rearrange a few things in the right spot. You could say I have a lot of experience with movers as I inherited my father's personally woodworked furniture which added to my own collection that he made for me. I have a lot of sentimental (and heavy) stuff plus I have a herniated disc, so moving is even more overwhelming. And moving every year for so long has been so much less than ideal. I had a go-to mover but they didn't reply when I reached out so I figured I would try someone new out bc, maybe I can have options. Incredibly, Making Moves packed everything much more thoroughly and somehow the move seemed shorter...?! Even accounting for the shorter distance, this move was seriously fast but not lacking one bit in caution. And here is the kicker, it was less expensive too and the team was bigger. I still love the other mover but this team has beyond proved itself so I guess this is my first choice mover now. Treat this team right. They are in demand for a reason.

The second move involved coming the day before to pack up our kitchen, then moving our apartment furniture and packed boxes into our new house. Before the moves, Alfredo came over to assess how much stuff we had and then gave us a quote that was competitive and reflected the actual cost of the move. He had 4 guys do the move -- it's much cheaper to have more guys because they do the move faster and you spend less money. They guys were all very respectful and sweet. Both moves happened fast and efficiently and all our items were moved with great care. Nothing was broken or scratched and the guys remove their shoes before coming in the house. I will absolutely be using Alfredo and his team for all my future moving needs.

The local CA company they used (I believe it was Pioneer) was amazing. They missed 2 tiny drawers but I was able to pack it in my suitcase. I'd highly recommend the CA moving company. Once our household items arrived in HI (it took just under 6 weeks from the time they finished in CA & it was moved into storage in HI) we were contacted to see if we wanted to watch our items being stored. We agreed. Chris was there to meet us (very nice & helpful. Walked us through it) & it seemed to go smoothly. He left half way & the unloaders slowed down. 1 quick phone call & it was back on track. We are pleased with the storage facilities. Secure & temperature controlled. The only hiccup worth mentioning is the 1 of the unloaders was on his phone 98% of the time. Even while pushing the carts he had his phone up to his face. He was young lol. We did have to mention that some of the boxes that said "this side up" meant they needed to store it a certain way. Overall I'd recommend working with Eugene & Chris.

My next few calls were with Jordan who seemingly was available 24/7. He never missed a call and helped me navigate a tricky move. He was transparent and realistic about what expectations my family and I should have. He went above and beyond to take care of my family as if they were his own relatives. On moving day, Ty and Brandon were unbelievably efficient, hardworking, thorough and kind. My grandma doesn't speak much English but the language barrier proved no problem in the face of Ty and Brandon's kindness. Ty and Brandon were undoubtedly impressive. Professional from start to finish. Crazy strong and fast. They were efficient yet careful. No damage to any of our belongings. Ty and Brandon worked quickly in order to help my family save costs--even doing extra things to help like move a whole fridge to make my life easier. What was estimated to take 3.5-5 hours took the pair of them 2.5 hours. This is with one tall flight of stairs at the old apartment and FOUR flights of winding stairs at the new. Unreal. My family has moved twice before but no other moving company left anywhere near the same positive impression as YouMoveMe. Tyron and Brandon left quite the impression on my family--so much so that they know who they want to call for their next move. YouMoveMe humanizes the moving experience and actually makes it enjoyable. They offer the best prices and best service. They also brought stuff to our house, to the dump, and to donate!!! They worked all day and helped us organize things in the new storage unit so that we can easily find things. They also were very patient with us us as we figured stuff out. The cost was pretty decent compared to what other companies charge. Considering it was 3 guys, a full truck, and a pretty big and long job as well as the fact that they never complained and were friendly the whole time I think that it was definitely worth what we paid. Call or email them to get a quote and they stick to it. There was even a point where we couldn't find our comic collection after we were pretty much done for the day but they went back to our storage unit with me to help me look for it and make sure we didn't lose it. You won't regret giving them a chance to help you move!

It involved three pallets of windows. I checked out the items at HD to get size measurements to figure out where to store the load At our house. I explained the tight single lane road approach to our driveway requiring a certain sized truck. I made contact with the driver on the road at my driveway. We discussed the way to move the truck and fork lift. Long story short, the whole unloading operation was perfect. Fitting the pallets into the storage structure was tight, but uneventful. The driver was great! I would have them deliver to my house anytime.

Update Part II Home…read moreDepot rectified the issue promptly. They scheduled an appointment to ensure that my patio set was loaded onto the correct truck. The employees were friendly and took the time to bring the patio set to my condo. This is what customer service should be all about. Island Movers reached out, but in my opinion, the previous employee has done this before and failed to provide his name or the company name when asked. I only found out the company's name because Home Depot gave it to me. He will continue to tarnish the company's reputation, as word of mouth can be extremely damaging.

They recommended a 3-man crew, and while I knew the 2-hour base rate was optimistic, I didn't expect the experience to go downhill so fast. The Pros: * They were flexible with timing. * They quickly disassembled and assembled my desk. * They were willing to work past their standard service hours, staying until 9:30 PM to finish the job. The Cons: * Extreme Disrespect: Despite specifically hiring and paying for packing services, we overheard the crew complaining about having to pack. Even worse, they were caught calling me "incompetent" and saying I didn't know what I was doing while I was in my own home. We addressed it on the spot, but the atmosphere was incredibly hostile and soured the entire day. * Poor Workmanship: We had already pre-packed many of our own boxes, but the items they handled were treated with zero care. * Major Damages: The total cost of the move was $1,195 for 5+ hours of work. However, the day after the move, I discovered over $2,000 worth of items, some irreplaceable, were damaged due to their poor packing. While I appreciate that they stayed late until 9:30 PM to get the furniture moved, the verbal abuse and the destruction of my property made the "cheap" rate a total illusion. Bottom Line: My lesson was learned--don't go cheap. Between the insults and the $2k+ in damages, this was a bad experience. Do not use for FULL SERVICE.

These guys are great. No that's not good enough these guys are exceptional. I hired Hero Moving to move my stuff from Ewa to Hawaii Kai. The day of the move Hero was supposed to show up at 10am. At 8am a moving truck showed up claiming to be Hero (I had gotten a few quotes and given my information out to a few moving companies and there is one known for getting you to sign a bogus contract, loading your stuff and at the destination refusing to unload your stuff until you pay the thousands of dollars in the fine print). I didn't realize what was happening until they had my stuff on the truck. That's when I called Gabriel at Hero moving company and he told me they were on their way!!! So I called the police. Hero was willing to wait it out while the police were trying to sort it out. I had already signed the contract thinking I was dealing with Hero. It took hours and $250 to finally get the okay to move from one truck to Hero's truck then drive all the way to Hawaii Kai (my wife is disabled, in a wheelchair) but I was so happy it was on Hero's truck. They had other work lined up that day that they even pushed back to later that evening so they could help me out and instead of charging me more they gave me a 10% discount for the whole hassle that they had nothing to do with. I can't say enough about everyone at Hero Moving it was like working with family. If you have a move coming up don't miss out on the opportunity to hire a moving company that cares about the people who hired them and how important the things they are moving are to those people. Where do I start. Customer service starts with the boss. Gabe was very kind. My daughter and I are finally packing up my mom and dad's house. They had lived these moves 30 years. This was back in February 2025. I do not remember any of the guys names. At one point I was so sick I was sitting in my car. I had to leave all of the decision making and directions to my daughter. The two young local guys were so good with her. They joked around and made her feel comfortable. They were new but really working hard. Everything got packed and moved into a storage unit. Unfortunately we had not installed shelving units. But everything got in there. Then they moved other large items to my girlfriends house in Makaha. She told me how nice they were. It would be unfortunate if the two local boys aren't there now. The move was so emotional. They took care to not break anything. I definitely recommend them to ANYONE moving. Whew! After a long whole day of moving yesterday, hero moving seriously helped us out with all of the big things, for the second time! We've used them 2years ago before and they were sooo helpful and amazing! They always ensure they properly handle your belongings, ask where you'd like to set up your stuff and help you set it up! They are super friendly, the guy Victor texted me earlier than their time frame of when they'd be at our property to help us move, their timing was perfect, quick and smooth! They told their names to my husband, I don't know the rest of their names, but there was the total of three guys. They made the move, go by so easy, especially from Pearl city all the way to Wailua! Gabe and Jordan really helped us out in a pinch, and were so professional throughout our experience! We had contacted them, and they scheduled a walkthrough for the next day to confirm scope. We had to switch the packing day two days before we scheduled them out and they happily accommodated us. We had a 1 man crew for our last minute change (shoutout Jordan!) even though he packed up and moved our stuff with the speed of a 3 man crew, all done with a smile on his face and a great attitude. We have a lot of inventory that is very fragil, they took extra care on packing every item and the moving was a success, they are detail oritented and you can really tell. Our big problem with them is that the woman who took our call & gave us the estimate did NOT suggest/request an inventory, so when the movers actually came & moved us, the final price was DOUBLE what she estimated! I had my belongings shipped from California to Hawaii. One of the guys unloading the truck took special care with my musical instruments, and made sure they were all handled gently. My next few calls were with Jordan who seemingly was available 24/7. He never missed a call and helped me navigate a tricky move. He was transparent and realistic about what expectations my family and I should have. He went above and beyond to take care of my family as if they were his own relatives. On moving day, Ty and Brandon were unbelievably efficient, hardworking, thorough and kind. My grandma doesn't speak much English but the language barrier proved no problem in the face of Ty and Brandon's kindness. Ty and Brandon were undoubtedly impressive. Professional from start to finish. Crazy strong and fast. They were efficient yet careful. No damage to any of our belongings. Ty and Brandon worked quickly in order to help my family save costs--even doing extra things to help like move a whole fridge to make my life easier. What was estimated to take 3.5-5 hours took the pair of them 2.5 hours. This is with one tall flight of stairs at the old apartment and FOUR flights of winding stairs at the new. Unreal. My family has moved twice before but no other moving company left anywhere near the same positive impression as YouMoveMe. They also brought stuff to our house, to the dump, and to donate!!! They worked all day and helped us organize things in the new storage unit so that we can easily find things. They also were very patient with us us as we figured stuff out. The cost was pretty decent compared to what other companies charge. Considering it was 3 guys, a full truck, and a pretty big and long job as well as the fact that they never complained and were friendly the whole time I think that it was definitely worth what we paid. Call or email them to get a quote and they stick to it. There was even a point where we couldn't find our comic collection after we were pretty much done for the day but they went back to our storage unit with me to help me look for it and make sure we didn't lose it. You won't regret giving them a chance to help you move!

From Arlin, who was very nice and accommodating to the 2 guys that came to do the move. They were very professional and efficient! They helped with packing some of the last minute items and wrapped everything to protect them from damage. Even my neighbors were impressed with how efficient and the amount of care they took with my items. The office called me the day before to confirm the arrival window and they were there right on time! Hopefully I don't have to move again, but if I do, they will be my first choice!

If you use them, make sure you protect your own furniture by wrapping it well. This is the mistake I made. Also our tv was damaged, no cracked screen, we just have a vertical line during certain images on the left edge of the screen now. It was an expensive oled, we spent over 4k for it. They didn't use the box I purchased and assured me would be better out of the box. My fault for not insisting on using the box. Our tv stand suffered minor dings, like paint chips, I was able to cover it up with some touch up paint so no big deal. I would recommend them if you protect your own items well.

They helped me move a queen-size bed with frame, dresser, and two nightstands. They even disassembled the furniture at my friend's house in town and reassembled everything at my house on the west side. Even though it was raining, they stayed positive and handled everything with care. They wrapped each item in plastic for protection and even had a large protective transport cover for the mattress. You can tell they truly care about their customers and their work. I would definitely hire them again for any future moves. If you're looking for a local company to support, Evan and his team at The Movers are the ones to call. Their pricing was reasonable and more affordable compared to the other companies I looked into. They're also working on getting their own company truck soon, which will be great advertising for them because they absolutely deserve the recognition! I also want to mention that Selah was the person I communicated to arrange the details of what I needed. She reached out to make sure we were all on the same page and called me the day before the move to confirm everything, which I appreciated since that seems to be their standard process. My Samsung 55" TV and computer monitor arrived completely shattered. Ten smaller boxes of my china collection were missing, and the pieces that did arrive were broken. These were high-value items, and I was never compensated because the movers failed to put stickers on the boxes -- which honestly felt negligent at best, and intentional at worst. On top of that, around 15 boxes either never arrived or showed up heavily damaged. I communicated with both Hawaiian Movers and the local company, and neither showed any sympathy or sense of responsibility. Their response was cold and dismissive: just "go talk to the insurance company." This happened about two years ago, and I am only writing this review now because I was recently going through my china collection while preparing for an event, and it brought everything back. It still makes me angry and sad. Please be extremely careful if you use this company. Make sure the movers put stickers on every single item and box. In my case, they did not label many of my items, and that became the reason I could not get compensated. Worst of the worst. Do not use them.
