we got our yellow lab at eight weeks took him to the vet he had parasites and hookworm. also had a respiratory cough. needless to say this poor pup has been on antibiotics since we picked him up at eight weeks old despite having been checked by the breeders vet. hoping he will be healthy once he is off his antibiotics. read more

We got a female black lab from Excaliber Labs in Acushnet about 1 month ago. WATCH OUT!! Our cute female lab had severe diarrhea on the way home, and when taken to an emergency vet, was found to have Giardia, Cystoisospora, and tapeworm (!) in her stools. She needed three different medications. When we took her to our regular vet, she was also found to have bilateral yeast infections in her ears. Our vet bills have totaled over $1000 so far. When I talked to Excaliber on the phone, this breeder offered to refund our purchase price, but that never showed up--guess that says it all. Be careful! Any breeder that sends a puppy home with THREE parasites and ear infections is worrisome in my view. read more

My husband and I got our very first lab, Mac, at Excalibur. We met with Justine and asked if we could meet both the mother and dad of the litter. Both parents were in good shape and had awesome personalities. Our sweet Mac was a year and a half when we decided to get another lab. That's when our sweet Ray came home, Mac's half brother. We constantly get compliments on both their looks and most importantly goofy, typical lab, personalities. Justine knows the breed and does a fantastic job raising sound Labradors. We really like Excalibur Labs. They are smart Heathy Dogs. Everyone was so nice. We got to meet the parents and the puppies early. The only thing is not being able to hold the puppies before hand. I know she is protecting them. But I think it's a little over board. At 6 weeks they should be able to interact with people. But I get it. Our fox red is beautiful her marking and color gets compliments all the time. read more

I bought Rusty from Excalibur Labradors about two years ago and ever since I took him home I had been meaning to write a review about this breeder because my dog is simply the best. Now that 2 years have gone by I am overdue on my review! When we stopped by to put our deposit down, there were other families there picking out puppies from another litter, however, they still took the time to show us both of Rusty's parents which was very nice. This breeder did a great job in Rusty's first 8 weeks to make him very sociable and loving. He gets along with every animal (including my cats) and loves every human. He is very trainable and loves to be taught new things. I couldn't have asked for a better dog and I'm so happy that I chose Excalibur Labs. Rusty is half yellow, half fox red resulting in a beautiful golden color. Thank you so much for the best dog ever! We will definitely use Excalibur again in the future. read more

Wonderful dogs raised by the family at Excalibur Labradors. We purchased our 1st loving puppy here 6 years ago. She is SO the perfect well behaved dog. 3 years ago my brother purchased a happy chocolate puppy. 1.5 years ago we purchased another puppy, she happened to black. They have been all so amazing! We have been so blessed with each of them ....Easy to train/quick & eager to learn , devoted to the family and very healthy!! Justine at Excalibur Labradors has been so supportive through the process of purchasing each of our pups and even to this day she is still amazing as she is available to answer any questions and to provide advice as our dogs age.
