This was my first tattoo done at Excalibur Tattoo here in Augusta, so I walked in not knowing what to expect from the shop. The atmosphere in the shop itself was exactly what I was hoping for, the music was great and you could plainly see everyone was super pumped about doing what they love. Bradley talked me through placement and amazing color choices based on my skin tone for the best results before we even laid the stencil. The finished product still managed to far exceed what I'd envisioned with my piece. I would be quick to recommend Bradley to anyone looking for amazing work, especially thick bold lined traditional pieces. I will definitely be returning. read more

I got a couple of tattoos done here about 3 months ago and was told the touch ups will be at no additional charge. Great right?! So it's 3-4 months later now and since I got a smiley done! I contacted my piercer/artist (as he told me to text him anytime if I needed anything or even had any questions) needless to say now, I don't think the guy wants to be bothered. I contacted him once about changing out my smiley, got no reply back so I went to Shane's. (Great job and people by the way!) About two months later now, I'm ready for my tattoo touch ups! Again, no reply. I have already made the trip of contacting the artist in person but by now, I feel as if I'm harassing by just showing up in person! NOT GOOD. I gave a 5-star review about 11 months ago but today, I'm updating to the bare minimum of one star. I don't think this is good for business. Guess now I'll have to actually pay for touch ups elsewhere. I had such a great feeling about this place and it's people here regardless of the negative reviews. Not anymore. read more

So many bad reviews in the area on piercings due to professional piercing incorrectly. Not only did i feel comfortable here, it was also done correctly. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my piercings if you are in or near Augusta. I got my nipples redone and my belly button. read more

I went to Excalibur and the girl at the front counter was so sweet and so nice. The owner kept making black jokes and used the word nigger multiple times. I pulled her to the side and told her she shouldn't have to deal with that. I just felt bad for her cause she is the only black person working in there. I was coming to get a tattoo but after the remarks I heard I was deeply saddened for me and her work conditions and left. I will never come back here, i had to get my lip pierced all over again after they pierced it wrong and then gave me a cheap jewelry for my nipple piercing and it was wrong. I kept trying to get the guy who pierced me to look at it but he never did, and the receptionist laughed at me in my face because he wouldn't look at the problem I was having with my piercing. So I went to MR TATTOO ON BROAD STREET, they did my nose ring, and I kept telling myself to go back there but I didn't listen I wanted to check out this shop. Oh yea and then I place an appointment online three times nobody ever responded so I just showed up, and then they took me. But it's just all about the money here, they don't even give u knowledge on how to take care a piercing, and oh yea I was told not to use any (soaps for piercings) on my piercings, just use saltwater spray , but the place that did my nose gave me soaps that's used for piercing. And I was also told that salt water spray helps with pain and healing it's not cleaning it at all. So I HAD THESE PIERCINGS FOR A WEEK AND A HALF NIPPLE BEEN BLEEDING AND THE GUY WOULDNT CHECK IT OUT, AND U MEAN TO TELL ME THEY HAVENT HAD THE PROPER CLEANING THE WHOLE TIME.... NEVER AGAIN! You couldn't pay me to even step foot in this place anymore. OH YEA THE RECEPTIONIST IS RUDE AND IGNORANT.! U LAUGHING IN MY FACE BUT U REALLY LOOK IGNORANT! Lol YALL CHECK OUT MR TATTOO THEYRE ACTUALLY A QUALITY SHOP HONESTLY. They sterilize everything down to their gloves. These people don't here, they only care about money and once u pay them they can careless about a issue u are having, that they could've caused. THE SAD THING IS IS THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT EVEN REALIZE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN PIERCED WRONG. I didn't! If I could leave less than 1 star I would. My friends and I walked in looking to get some piercings. Before we came to the store, we called and asked about pricing and if they could do the piercings. At no time did they mention having to make an appointment nor does their website say anything about making an appointment. As soon as we walked in, a guy named Josh spoke AT us, not to us. We told him what we were here for and he immediately said that they couldn't do it because they were "booked solid" and that we needed to make an appointment. Mind you, there were no customers in there and everyone was just sitting around. He immediately told us there were 2 shops down the street that we could go to, all the while he never looked up from his tablet. All of us are of different ethnicities and it definitely felt like he didn't want our business. So if you are a person of color you should definitely look elsewhere to get work done! I wouldn't give this place a dime of my money! read more

Great place. Joshua did a custom tattoo for me, and a cover up for my friend. Both turned out great. The place is clean, safe, has friendly staff and talented artists, easy to talk to.... What else would you be looking for? They don't hand out cookies. I guess that's a bummer. read more

I got some work done yesterday at Excalibur. Josh has done three tattoos for me in the past so I knew I was in good hands with my latest one. Josh did a great job interpreting my vision, drawing up the tattoo, and applying it. As usual, the shop was immaculate and the customer service was excellent. One of the worst places I could've gone to get a tattoo. I thought getting a coordinate tattoo was really hard to mess up, I mean just numbers right? Not hard for a good artist. But mine was not a good artist. My theory would be a significantly larger tattoo, but instead I got a smaller one. Which was absolutely awful. Most tattoo artist would recommend going bigger, but mine did not mention it. He should've told me that he can't do the detail and would smudge the numbers and not do the degrees right. But alas no. And now I have find something to cover up this mess of a tattoo. They also don't bring you into a room to give you privacy which is weird. My artist didn't discuss aftercare either. And then when I talked to my friend about my awful experience, she mentioned that the exact same artist also messed up her tattoo and on top of that he kept staring at her chest and making her uncomfy. And then when i brought it up to Nick, he said he stands by his work and can offer a cover up, but obviously at a cost. But why would I trust him to do a bigger tattoo to mess up? It's awful. I spent 60$ to look in the mirror and hate myself. read more
