This was such a bad experience. We had a party reservation for 12pm and arrived 25 minutes early…read more We knew we wouldn't be able to set up until 15 minutes ahead of the party time, so I wanted to check in and see if anything was needed and where we would be setting up once the time came. No one was at the front desk and there was a note to call a number if no one was available. I called, no answer. At 20 minutes until start time I went in when I saw someone working the desk. I spoke with her and she advised it was her first time working a party and she wasn't sure of the procedure. She walked me to an area and said I think this is where you'll be. I asked if we could set up at the tables and she said she didn't know. The bathroom was locked she said she would have to check and see how to get in. She said everyone there needed to fill out a waiver. I asked if just the swimmers should do that and their parents. She said every person in the building needed one. I said typically a waiver of liability is just for the swimmers or participants and she said "don't be difficult about it - I was told everyone needed them so just fill them out". She then walked away. Ad guests began to arrive she advised everyone should rinse before entering the pool. The kids did and one jumped in. It was 11:53 and the party was scheduled from 12-2. She said everyone out of the pool - it's not your party time yet. We had them get out and wait. The lady then advised she was also doing therapy in another area and was working double duty and went to another room. The toilet in the restroom looked rotten and guests were not able to use it. I messaged the owner and asked for a call back. I advised of the difficulty we'd had and my frustration. He said, "I'm sorry for the hiccup- I thought she'd be smoother than that". He said it was a hectic weekend bc of the holiday and many people were out of town. We had no more contact with the woman from check in until she showed back up while my daughter was opening gifts at 1:44 and said the next party had already arrived so we needed to be sure we wrapped up soon and were out by 2. The kids swam and had fun regardless - because they're kids, but this was so stressful and miserable as the parent and party host. We will never, ever return to this business. If you're on the fence about planning a party here- don't waste your time or money.

Classes have several instructors and the kids are broken into groups based on capabilities with typically about 2-3 kids per instructor. Many of the instructors are/were on the Vanderbilt swim team.

We have tried YMCA and Vanderbilt swim lessons and they just weren't good enough. If you want your child to learn how to swim and feel confident in their ability and stamina, then send them here to the Swim America program. It's so organized it's amazing. It can be difficult to get the time slot you want, but once you're enrolled you get first dibs on sign up the next time around. A lot of parents have their child join swim teams after they complete level 10, but this is not required or expected. I wish we knew about this program years ago.

All my kids have been "water safe" by 2 1/2. Im disappointed this program does not enforce water safety. I spoke with the manager, and teachers to push him, and all they did was continue play time. Not the program for life and death water safety. I really wish there was a better program here. I will have to hire a teacher to come to my home once the pool is complete. Love the facility, clean, great amenities. Program is mediocre, and i found a waste of my time and money.
