Not only is this a place to support physical health and well being - they also enrich the mind and the soul through incredible community events. Personally, I have always struggled with working out - always finding some way to injure myself. All the trainers at IT have found a way to see what was missing, where I needed support and adjusted the work out so I could build my core, strength, and most important - confidence. The IT community is incredible, authentic and purposeful.

They also offer nutrition coaching and body composition analyses. Having my body composition tested has been an empowering way to track my progress and keep motivated. At Iron Tribe, you're in and out in 45 minutes. I really appreciate their workouts that are designed to get me moving and working in an efficient way. There are no mirrors in the gym, so instead of looking at your form in the mirror, you'll need to listen to your body. In every class, you will learn standards of movement for the workout, and coaches will work with you to make sure your body is in safe alignment. I imagine that this greatly reduces injuries. There are well-stocked locker rooms with showers. Also inside the gym, they sell supplements and different kinds of energy drinks. They don't push them on you, but they're there if you need them/are curious. I look forward to my workouts. I've found that I'm no longer thinking about working out as torture or punishment. The coaches use language meant to empower you, rather than critique you. This was helpful for me as I was learning to use the equipment. It's also really fun, and everyone is nice. I was pleasantly surprised by what an encouraging and non-judgmental space it was. A membership is not cheap, but you're paying for more than a gym membership. It's more like a gym membership, personal training, nutrition coaching, and body composition testing. I'd recommend Iron Tribe to anyone.

In the six months that we have been working with her, both individually and together, my husband and I have received the invaluable support and guidance we needed to navigate through a crisis and back to wholeness. Sariah offers several kinds of healing modalities, tailored to your individual needs, and she will meet you where you are, with compassion and no judgment. For me, private sessions have included guided meditation, instruction in Kundalini yoga, constructive conversations, and powerful holotropic breathwork. Each time, I leave feeling cared for, revitalized, and deeply grateful. As I mentioned before, I've also done couples' sessions with my husband. Sariah creates a safe container where we can be ourselves and share honestly, and our work with her has brought us to a much healthier place as partners and parents. Another service Sariah offers is house healings; she came over to perform a beautiful blessing on our family's home, which transformed the energy in our space in a tangible and lasting way. Finally, she teaches group classes (see her website for details), which are lively, soulful, and fun. Sariah cares deeply about what she does, practices what she preaches, and is genuinely devoted to helping others. If you are open to receiving support and ready to connect to your own source of wisdom within, she will be your lifeline.

I hadn't experienced the power of breathwork prior to this, was worried I'd get it wrong, but as strange as this sounds, a shoulder injury lasting the last 4yrs, vanished at the end of the session. The pain was simply gone. I can't explain it, but I can say this: I will continue to participate in Sariah's programs. Phenomenal!!!

Side note: I had no concept of humidity and the effects of such on the human body, so that was an environmental shock. I walked in and was immediately greeted by athletes waiting to join the class I wanted to drop in on and watched the prior class kick booty. My schedule had changed last minute so I didn't get a proper chance to alert the coaches to my drop in request. Just an email late the night before. I hoped to join, seeing as how my pre booked cab was coming to get me in about an hour anyway. Coach Lauren let me into the class after a waiver sign and we got started. Not but 2 minutes into the warmup my tank top was clinging to my skin like snot to a kids nose. I was drenched in sweat. Why is the south so sweaty hot?! Clearly a California girl, the rest of the class were maybe mildly glistening, if that at all. I loved the workout and everyone was super nice. I had a great partner for the workout and honestly, it's women like Allie are the reason I love CrossFit and the community. Strong, beautiful, amazingly nice and just inspiring. She and other strong women there are the future to turning the saying "like a girl" into something totally different. The facilities were great! Nice high rope climb suitable ceilings, a whole separate room full of platforms just for lifting (*drool*), great people, awesome vibe, nice little athlete chillout area with couch, clean bathrooms, organized and intelligent programming! The address does make it seem like they are off the main street but they are in the back of the building. I had a great time, and I'm kind of hoping to go back and workout with Red Stick athletes again. When is it not humid?
