I had a very disappointing experience at this barber shop. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was not what I asked for and the final result was uneven and poorly blended. One of the most noticeable issues was that my sideburns were cut unevenly, with one side significantly higher than the other. It was very obvious and frustrating. I tried to explain the style I wanted, but it felt like my request wasn't really listened to. A haircut is something you have to walk around with every day, so it's disappointing when basic details like symmetry aren't taken into account. I left the shop unhappy and now have to wait for my hair to grow back or pay someone else to fix it. The barber i ended up with was terrible!! I asked for a skin fade and I think he was you tubing videos on how to cut hair as i was in the chair!! I'm not even joking..... he was young, soft spoken and definitely not experienced which sucked for me as I paid $40 with tip for nothing!!! First time at Excellence Barbershop numero 3 after my normal barber happened to be closed today. Thanks AJ for taking care of everything from scheduling my appointment over the phone, to giving me a fresh cut. I am extremely satisfied that to get exactly what I requested. AJ's technique is smooth. I didn't even noticed he started cutting until I saw bits of hair on my lap. On the other end of things, the vibe of the shop is pretty slick. All the guys were choppin' it up. It was an extremely friendly atmosphere. The only thing they're missing is a sweet acrylic sign! ;P Shoutout to Curtis for the random astrological trivia. Poorly run barbershop. Had an appointment scheduled with Frankie because his work in pictures looked good. I get there and he tells me one of the other guys is gonna take care of me because he booked one of his boys. These guys have preferences on who's hair they want to cut. If they have enough business from their usual clients, they'll kick you to the curb if you're new. Not the way to treat people. Gave them a try anyways and haircut was not what I asked for. My bf went in earlier today for a cut. It was his first time there. First and last time. The guy who cut his hair did a HORRIBLE job. So bad that he had to shave off his beard when he got home and I canceled our plans and took him to his regular barber a few cities away to fix the issue. He told the guy half way through to fix an area and he said he was not done yet to wait unit he finishes. Well he finishes and the cut still looks horrid. He didn't remember the name of the guy but he was a short, hefty, tan guy. I can't believe they let him walk out of there with the horrid hair cut. My barber of 5 years got pregnant and decided to relocate. So I was without a barber. Since I've lived in Jurupa valley my whole life I was excited to see a barber shop open close to home. I decided to check it out. I checked the ratings and reviews before and i was surprised to see a lot of bad reviews. But I said what the heck I'll check it out myself. I show up as a walk in. They send me to a barber he did a pretty good job so I decide to book an appointment for the next week. I show up for my appointment on time and I see he has someone on his chair. Then he tells me a different barber will be taking care of my cut. I was like ok?? Who does that. But I said whatever. As soon as I got done I decided to book with a different barber. I show up and once again there's a problem. My barber I booked tells the owner that he thought my appointment was actually for the week after. Which I don't understand why I would book so far in advance. I know that was another excuse. The owner Frank was actually very cool tho. Was able to cut me up. Even though couldn't finish my cut because his Client arrived. Idk what's going on in that establishment but the barbers are not responsible at all. They don't care about the walk ins. They already have their clients. If u thinking of going for a walk in I wouldn't recommend it. read more
