Every time I call, especially at the last minute, Lawrence always tell me to come on through "I got you" no matter what day of the week it is. Lawrence and his other barbers are very skilled in their craft, extremely efficient, and very professional. This is a really good barbershop. I've been coming here for almost 2 years and everytime I leave, I leave satisfied with both the haircut I received and the experience I had. This place gives great cuts for a great price. There's a great staff and its always fun coming in and having good conversations with all of them. The owner, Big L, is a really good man. For example, one time, I didn't have enough money for a haircut and he hooked me up for free. You don't find too many people like that around. He's a great guy with a great character. Just moved out to riverside area was looking for a great black owned barber shop with great service and little wait time for my 9 yr old son. it was all that and more. called got big L said ask for him when I arrived he had someone in the chair, 1 person waiting for a touch up, and then my son next we were in and out of there 30-40 minutes top......NOW that is quality efficient service and moreso my son loves his new barber, very reasonably priced and close to home. Great first experience. Good haircut and good service from G. Took my friend today on my second visit and as we walked in the employee said, "Can't you read the sign? Go outside and look again." He wanted us to see that their hours indicated they were closed. His attitude and poor character was unnecessary. He could have easily said they were closed. Felt unwelcome and certainly no love! We went back to the shop today, (December 31) to ask for her money back because of the perm not meeting her satisfaction. She met Junior and expressed her dissatisfaction with the perm. He said he cannot give her money back and did not offer any remediation for her issues. Evidently, Junior needs more experience in applying the perm and in customer service.
