ONLINE BUYERS BEWARE. Excellent Photo's website is misleading people regarding weather-or-not they have the items in stock, but they're guaranteed to take your money. Excellent Photo is selling items they DO NOT have and framing the status of these items on their website as "special order" or falsely claiming "In Stock" conveniently omitting until after purchase that special order means "out-of-stock" and your wait listed up to 6 months before you possibly receive your stuff. (no guarantee) Utterly ridicules! It is only upon purchase completion, after you have paid, that you find out via there confirmation email (jpeg included) that special order means, "out-of-stock" It's completely misleading and a cash grab! further, per jpeg (2) Excellent Photo is falsely advertising (right now) on there website that the Tilta Wireless Motor for Tilta Mirage is "IN STOCK"! So why don't I have it, a month later?! A month after purchase, I sent a cancelation email, no reply. I called Excellent Photo a couple of days later and got a very rude women on the phone that was not at all sympathetic, explaining that: the purchasing public should know that special order means "out-of-stock" and your pre-ordering, (not that, its explained anywhere on the product or payment page as illustrated in jpeg 2 inthat, "special order" means pre-order) and that your order could take as long as six months after which they turn your payment into a store credit, What a ripoff! So my answer was: why don't you just say "out of stock" which is at least honest and makes it clear and add a pre-order option, but no... I was met with complete indifference and disregard from this woman that was clearly annoyed that I challenged the clarity of their websites item(s) availability. I cancelled the order over the phone. Based on the call with Excellent Photo's representative, it's questionable weather-or-not I will see my refund any time soon, and I would not be surprised if I need to take further action in aid of same. I do not recommend, disgusting. I could not return the goods or cancel the purchase. Customer service does not respond.

I printed nearly 50 photos of various sizes (6x8, 8x10, 8x12, 11x14) at Excellent Photo for a photography exhibition, and I was very happy with the service and quality that I received. The owner was incredibly helpful, and he went the extra mile to ensure that I was 100% happy with my order. I have not purchased any equipment from him (yet!), but he sells a wide variety of high quality cameras (Canon, Nikon, Olympus, etc.) and camera accessories including lenses, flashes, memory cards, film and lots of photo frames and albums. I also noticed a few other high tech gadgets for sale behind the counter like portable speakers and headphones. I would definitely recommend Excellent Photo to anyone looking for high quality photo printing and camera gear! read more

The customer service is second to none. I was looking for one particular lens (the Sony 600/4) since October, and couldn't find it anywhere in the US. Ordered it in two places, but got nothing at all. Some sellers told me it would take another 2-3 months to get this lens in stock, but nothing is guaranteed of course. I found the lens in Excellent Photo, but was hesitating to pull the trigger since I had no idea when the lens could be shipped, and how long it would take to deliver it to my secondary residence in TX. After going back and forth with a sales rep (Miriam) all questions were answered, and I got the lens delivered in 2 days, right on Christmas Eve. Very impressive. Now this store is my number one choice for photography shopping. I hope one day I'll visit this great store in person. read more

I was researching a Manfrotto tripod into the wee hours of the morning last Friday, placed the order before I fell asleep, and it was shipped out at 8:10am (my time) the same day! I received it today, Monday morning. Packed well, shipped FedEx. And it was $176 less than I would have paid in the United States. Will check them out first next time I need anything! I was really skeptical to order from this store as I am located in California and this was my first time ordering online from a store in Canada, and that too an expensive item (Sony E-mount lens) close to a thousand dollars. Before buying from Excellent Photo I had already tried a couple of well known stores (Vistek and Henry's). Both of these stores rejected my order after a couple of days of placing it as they do not ship to US (their online purchase forms allow placing order from US and US credit card!). Finally, I placed my online order through Excellent Photo and everything was quick and smooth. Instantly received my online confirmation and the product was shipped within hours. It got delivered via FedEx in 3 days (of a 3-6 days shipping). Their price was same as other stores and in-stock status was true (for items like these which are stocked in limited quantities, some stores show in-stock online but their order processing rejects later for reason of out-of-stock). The product was packaged nicely, as it should be for a fragile item. Very pleased and would definitely look at this store for any of my future purchases! read more
