The limited language does cause a bit of confusion over the phone, but that's understandable. We have our temperatures checked, are asked to use hand sanitize, and to wear masks during the session. This does make it a bit awkward and difficult to breathe, but again, understandable. The rooms are very minimal and the towels/sheets are low quality, but we are only there for an hour. The ladies have been friendly and accommodating to our specific massage needs. They currently charge $60 per hour and we give $20 tip for each of the ladies so $160 out the door for a bare bones experience, but no complaints from us.

Although the girl was wearing surgical gloves which I thought was odd but whatever. My feet are well groomed and clean, otherwise it would have made me feel self-conscious. She actually did cover different pressure points in the heels, around the balls of the feet and toes. When it came to the massage itself, 90% of it was done under a double folded sheet even though my shorts remained on! The masseuse used her elbows and forearms for most of the massage with little variants of technique. My back was actually getting sore from her continually going over the same spot again and again doing the same thing. I was glad that I hadn't scheduled the 90 minute massage! There was a little bit of massage oil used on my shoulders, forehead and lower legs. That's it! It was so far from an actual massage. I didn't even bother to say anything. I just paid and left. I was not looking for any extra services, just an actual professional massage. It seemed as though the girl was afraid to touch anybody or have any type of skin contact. When he walked in to check in, she already looked bothered and said, "Check-in is at 3 p.m." Okay, we left, looked around the area, and came back later. When we returned, she seemed even more bothered, as if we were going to be rude or steal something. My family and I were sitting in the lobby waiting, and she kept staring at me like she had a problem, then rolled her eyes. When she helped a Latino man and later an older white couple, she greeted them with a smile and had a friendly conversation. We felt completely disrespected and unwelcome as a Black family. If she's reading this: sweetheart, not all Black people are bad. You may have dealt with some negative experiences in the past, but we are not like everyone else. We don't think we will ever return to this location because of how she treated my husband--simply for asking about check-in, as though we were going to destroy the hotel. That behavior was very unprofessional and rude. 9/28/25 Ms. Vee didn't have her glasses on this time, and I know one of the girls at the front desk who was helping my husband told her what I said--and that's okay.
