Came for a deep tissue massage since my back has been hurting lately. Walking in, it's so clean and peaceful. I got helped right away and into a room asap. Oh man I never felt so relaxed in my life. He massaged my scalp, back, arms, and legs. He even used hot towels and hot stones. It's a semi dark room with smoothing music playing. I did not want him to stop! I had very strange interactions via text & Yelp messaging with the staff here. I had previously left a 2 star review & was offered a refund that I accepted. Days later (like 4 days) I got a message that after speaking with the owner they were only going to refund me in exchange for a deleted review. The point of Yelp is so others can see honest reviews & decide if this is the service they are looking for. The conversations after my painful massage were even worse than the massage itself. Edit: I am now receiving text messages from staff here stating the owner is firing them due to my review, they are depressed & a single mom, and their life is very hard. I'm so confused and honestly shocked. The massage therapist listened to what I needed, and her technique was effective and assured. She used several modalities, and I also had hot stone added. At the end of my session, you could practically pour me into a bucket. Shame they didn't have showers there that I saw. The man was assigned to me, I came in as a walk in but I wasn't given an option on who to choose as my masseuse. At first I thought he was nice as he would ask me if I was okay with him massaging certain parts of my body and if I would say no if i wasn't comfortable. When he was massaging my shoulders though, my hands were flat on the bed and I would LEGIT FEEL THE OUTLINE OF HIS DICK IN THE PALM OF MY HAND! My first experience was bad and is detailed below. Apparently the business had staffing problems that day which led to my negative experience. Since then, they have made it right to the best of their ability and the next massage was very good. Hopefully the change is a permanent one. (This was the worst massage I have ever had. Everything was rushed. My masseuse did not speak any English and immediately tried to start the massage without any introduction. I had to stop her so I could discuss my preferences for the massage and to avoid my knee because of a prior surgery. All of this was done through a translation app. The massage was not at all relaxing. All of the movements were fast and repetitive (ie, rub hands quickly up and down my back 15-20 times, back and forth over the shoulders 15-20 times etc). 5 minutes in I wanted to leave. I stayed because I didn't want to offend the masseuse and I just kept hoping the massage would get better. I'm someone who generally dozes off during a massage because I am so relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed my first 90 min deep tissue session with Lee. Lee is an excellent therapist with good techniques to get at problem areas in my neck, shoulders and lower back. The facility has just recently opened and is very nicely decorated. The spa is very peaceful and comfortable.
