Was looking for a place to get my Subaru tinted. Called this place up and Cesar was able to take me in the very next day. Answered all my questions right on the spot and helped me decide what tint would be best for my car. I ended up going with 35% in the front and 20% over the frosted windows in the back bringing it to a 5%. I was worried it would be too dark to see at night and he assured me it wouldn't. And he was absolutely correct. Bonus of still being able to see out day and night with the privacy of not being able to see in at all! I sought Cesar for the tinting of my PriusV per his good ratings on here. He was professional, clear and polite on the phone when I called for an appointment. He was right on time to our 8:30am appt on a Sunday! We had a pleasant conversation as I observed his work. He is skillful and meticulous in his work. The tint came out beautifully. It took a few days for the bubbles in the tint to disappear (Cesar informed me of this). However after a week a small water bubble (5mm) remained in one of the windows and Cesar asked me to bring it back. Cesar inspected all the windows and discovered two tiny bust dimples that I can hardly see after he pointed out to him. He decided to redo three windows bc he was not happy with how they turned out. I am a fastidious person and have low tolerance for imperfections but was willing to live with these dust dimples. Cesar's insistence on redoing them showed me his tremendous work ethics as a young professional. I have already recommended Cesar to two strangers who asked about my tint at gas stations. I had an appt. for this past Saturday, July 2nd. I confirmed the day before, making sure that my 1pm appt was still a go. I drive to Exceptional Tint and found it strange there was no car and the back garage was locked up. I have a 2006 Acura TL and just had my tints of (20%) removed due to state inspections. After a few days going without tinting, I hated it so, I decided to get my tints back. I was in the area and used Yelp to call Cesar around 11am for a same day appointment time of 1pm. Went there a little early and was greeted by him (its nested under MBA Auto Shop - a little hard to find) and he came out to see that the interior of my car was light enough to recommend 20%. I agreed. There is a nice waiting room area with electric sockets and cable tv. Waited about 2 hours and told me I was done. He did a meticulous job and very trustworthy. I was a bit concerned at first because the tint at first looked a bit hazy but after about 24 hours it dried to a crystal clear view. At first I was skeptical about getting my tint worked on by one guy in a garage on the back of someone's residential property, but Cesar did a great job and was pleasantly conversational while doing so. He apparently worked at several tint shops growing up and struck out on his own with Exceptional Tint. This is a very small business - don't expect a waiting room or a Nespresso machine - but what Cesar lacks in amenities at his garage, he makes up for with attention to detail and great proficiency. I paid $40 to get one window redone - my one window's tint was getting bubbles - on the same day I called. Yes, you have to call to check availability/make an appointment. I chose exceptional tint because of its many positive reviews. I wish I could say my experience was positive, but it was not. I had purchased my new car with only 9 miles on it only two weeks earlier. As I inspected the tint after it was applied, I noticed that the Cesar had inadvertently melted the pillar trim near my rear window with the dryer he used to install the tint. He immediately took responsibility for it, apologized, and said that he would order and install replacement trim. Although I was very upset to have my new car damaged, I accepted his offer to fix the problem. Subsequent to this, I also observed that all seven of the tinted windows had air bubbles and dirt specks under the tint. I notified him of this fact. I returned a little more than a week later to have the tint fixed, and the melted trim replaced. Two results from that second visit...First, although the melted piece of trim was replaced, there was new damage done to my new car. Specifically, the window was scratched, and an adjacent piece of trim had several nicks in it. It appeared as though the edge of the trim had been used as a lever for the tool used to replace the melted trim. Unfortunately, this time it was not a trim that can be easily replaced, and there is nothing I can do about the scratched glass. Second, the newly applied tint again had a large number of air bubbles in it. So, the end result is that I spent almost $200 and more than five hours of my time for poorly applied tint with air bubbles in it, and permanent damage to my new car. To say that I am upset and disappointed would be an understatement. read more
