The bad thing is that the credit union had already gave me credit and I removed the cash. It was significant, over $5,000 for an accident involving my car. USAA had stopped the check because they thought it had been overnight end to the wrong address. Incredibly, the credit union worked with me without hassle as I worked with USAA to reissue the check. The Navy Federal Credit Union basically gave me an interest free loan for 10 days until I finally got the new check. Fantastic customer service from both the staff on location and those I dealt with by phone. I also have a car loan through them and have been very satisfied with the service I've received. But they have become a total and utter nightmare for me. When my debit card expired they made me jump through hoops to get a new one. I should have left back then. Now im moved away and im trying to deposit a mobile check and I needed to increase my limit. They cant even do that. And theyre intrusive, customer service rep had the nerve to ask "and is this money coming from tax returns?" These guys are a total joke. Stay away from them. They have no business being in business. When I asked Ms. Little, the Assistant Vice President about this, she stonewalled me and backed her staff, even when proof was provided of the information breech. When I raised the concern about the data loss other institutions have had as of late, and equated the two, Ms. Little kindly offered to close my account rather than focus on her employees misdeeds, (which were at the least lacking in judgement, and at the most, a crime) I gladly accepted her offer and closed my account. The contempt they have for their "customers" is only matched by their ineptitude and/or unwillingness to provide good customer service.

They were too incompetent to put together a mortgage for my family and I. Was supposed to be complete in 45 days I believe 4 months later the paperwork still wasn't complete. When I pointed out this was garbage service their feelings got hurt. My wife and I removed the few dollars we have in the organization. Also got into it with their Lansing, Kansas branch chief. Apparently cashiers checks put into someone's bank account require presidential approval. Just garbage service across the board. No loyalty. Would strongly suggest going to another bank.
