I have had visited many schools before and have had the honor of being taught by some very good instructors. That said. Prof. Peter does a great job running his classes and instructing his students. It is well organized from beginning to end and he is actively involved during the entire class. Starts on time and no wasted time. During my drop-in, we were going over the Osoto Gari takedown (a technique I have been taught many times by Judo blackbelts). Prof. Peter provided excellent and balanced detail on the technique, as it was a beginner/intermediate class, careful not too overwhelm the students. Highly recommend checking this school out. Clean facilities, great instruction and good vibes. Keep up the good work Prof. Peter! PS. Watch out for a former D1 All-American wrestler posing as a 4 stripe white belt. What he lacks in BJJ technique he overwhelmingly makes up for in grappling IQ and will crush higher belts. Sorry bud, but you need some color on your waist.

I was a part of Gracie Judo for several years and the community was extremely welcoming since day…read more1. In essence, Gracie Judo is the best judo club out there--by far. Judo is a growing Olympic sport and Gracie Judo is the best dojo to learn this martial art from. This club welcomes anybody regardless of their age (as seen with the youth classes and adult classes) and regardless of anyone's prior experience in any martial art. Led by Sensei Grace Jividen, she brings her expertise and passion for the sport. She provides the perfect balance of skill building on the mat and off the mat, because while the club cares about developing anyone's skillset on the mat, what really makes the club stand out is the community as a whole as far as a fun atmosphere and people care about one another. In addition to Grace, there are other senseis that bring their expertise and passion for the sport as well, including Sensei Joe, Sensei Tommy, and Sensei Jerry. The environment is competitive yet fun. Judo is a sport that involves hard work and dedication--something that the senseis do day in and day out for the students and the student's families. Whether a white belt is going for their yellow belt or a green belt is going for their brown belt, the tests are hard work (knowing the throws by name and physically demonstrating the throws), but the senseis support the students and celebrate with you once you earn your new belt color. In addition, the cost is not too much and all of the money goes to the end of the year parties that take place around Christmas time where the community celebrates as a whole for their work and accomplishments/achievements on the mat and off the mat. I wish Gracie Judo all the best and I love the impact the positive impacts that they have made on my life as well as I love the bonds that I have made with this community throughout the years. Gracie Judo, thank you for everything.

LOVE KoKo Fitclub! I joined the original Colorado location at Columbine 2 years ago and moved over…read moreto the Ken Caryl location as it was more convenient for me. Parts of my review below are cut from my Columbine location review, but they still stand. Two YEARS of going to the gym on a fairly regular basis is huge for me... The music is more geared to adults (30s, 40s) than the 20s, but most of the clientle is in that age group or older anyway. Every employee I've met (pretty sure I'm met them all at this point) is so friendly and helpful, and they all work to be able to great you by name when you come in. HUGE plus: It does not smell like a gym. It's very spa like and peaceful, actually. There are no locker rooms but the restroom is big enough to do a quick change if you have to come there in street clothes. The pricing may be a negative to some, but if you are serious about strength training, you'd be using a personal trainer at a cheaper gym at least occasionally. At Koko, you have the smartrainer pacing you every time, coming up with a new lifting plan every time, and the staff is there to check if you have form problems. Your strength gains are re-evaluated every 12 lifting sessions to keep you on track for continued gains. This is not circuit training, where you have to wait for a machine and it takes twice as long to complete your workout. All strength training is done on ONE machine. Love it! There is no childcare available, so if you have little ones you have to bring with you this won't be the gym for you. I am lucky in that mine are old enough to stay home so I can have an hour of "me" time at the gym

By far the best decision I've made in years was signing up for a membership with Koko. A friend of…read moremine had been telling me about it for months, and finally I decided to try it out. I've tried memberships with regular gyms before, but I would never know quite what to do with the machines or how much of which exercise to do. Koko takes all of the guess-work out of getting in shape. Truly, all you have to do is show up, and they take care of the rest. You complete a strength assessment every 12 workouts so that the chosen weights and exercises stay relevant to help avoid plateaus, creating a completely custom experience for everyone. You don't waste any time moving from machine to machine to perform different exercises because it's all contained in a single machine with a screen that guides you in what to do and how to do it. It's like having my own personal trainer any time of day or night (one that I can get mad at, and it won't be offended). They have small ways of recognizing members when they achieve something special, but these small ways go a LONG way in terms of motivation and gaining a sense of accomplishment. I have only been going for 4 months, but I have taken progress photos, and I can definitely see a change. They also create a custom food plan if you are able to stick to it (I'm kind of a slacker in that area, but I try). If you're like me in that you would rather be told what to do than be responsible for coming up with different workouts for yourself, Koko is where it's at. I can't say enough nice things about Alex, the owner, who has helped me tremendously, as well as Brooke, Gretchen, and Sharon, the Fitcoaches there. I am a believer in their mission and this amazing new approach to getting (and staying) healthy. Thank you, Koko FitClub!
