I have had visited many schools before and have had the honor of being taught by some very good instructors. That said. Prof. Peter does a great job running his classes and instructing his students. It is well organized from beginning to end and he is actively involved during the entire class. Starts on time and no wasted time. During my drop-in, we were going over the Osoto Gari takedown (a technique I have been taught many times by Judo blackbelts). Prof. Peter provided excellent and balanced detail on the technique, as it was a beginner/intermediate class, careful not too overwhelm the students. Highly recommend checking this school out. Clean facilities, great instruction and good vibes. Keep up the good work Prof. Peter! PS. Watch out for a former D1 All-American wrestler posing as a 4 stripe white belt. What he lacks in BJJ technique he overwhelmingly makes up for in grappling IQ and will crush higher belts. Sorry bud, but you need some color on your waist.

Quick update: My daughter is thriving and absolutely loves the martial arts. She has been training for almost two years and it's really amazing to see as her dad. In this review, I would like to share my own personal experience as an adult training at The ROCK Martial Arts & Fitness. The first thing is that martial arts training and fitness is not just a sport or exercise program for kids or young people. After watching my daughter train for seven months, I realized how much fun she was having and decided it's not too late for me to join in the fun. That was over a year ago. Master Carr and his team of instructors are impressive martial artists, and have trained Olympic-level athletes. They are superb teachers and coaches. They make learning fun and maintain a good balance in training. The adult classes have a wide range of ages from young adults to men and women over 60 years of age, and there are several of us men over 40 years. Additionally, the students in the adult class represent many different skill levels from beginners to experience. Some of us are a little older or have some physical limitations, like me, but Master Carr is always mindful about our safety in training. The ROCK cultivates an environment of respect and courage, which is conducive to adult learning regardless of age, experience or skill level. One thing I really like is we get to practice and train with everyone during class. While each person can learn, grow, and improve at his/her own level or pace, its fun to get exposure to different training partners in the class. Each adult class is led by Master Carr or by one of his talented 4th Degree Black Belt instructors, who provides hands-on coaching and feedback. The ROCK offers both morning and evening classes to accommodate different schedules. Personally, I like the evening classes. The variety of skills that is being taught includes traditional Taekwondo, boxing, kickboxing, practical self-defense, and personal training. There is also a separate kickboxing class for those who are only interested in improving overall fitness. Each of the instructors has so much knowledge and experience, so it seems we are constantly learning new skills in addition to practicing familiar ones. Training at The ROCK is a great workout and my skills, strength, and stamina has improved, not to mention my confidence, mental awareness, and preparedness for whatever comes my way. Lastly, there is a community at the ROCK where people care about one another and inspire each other to achieve our individual goals as we navigate through our journey. Master Carr leads with his strong faith and by example, which I really appreciate. I would highly recommend The ROCK Martial Arts & Fitness to any adult who is looking for a challenge; want to learn new skills, or just getting one-on-one personal training with a coach to maintain health and improve physical fitness.

They work with each student individually and as a group. They have multiple programs and all of there programs are amazing. There leadership class is a great way to help your kiddos learn how to use life skills in there day to day life, leadership also helps adults with the same. After starting leadership myself I have learned different ways to be a better leader at my company. My son is still learning but is getter better at leading and doing the right thing. Martial arts is a great way to get your family together. You and your family can all grow at different paces but still all practice and learn together. We look forward to our classes each week. I myself have lost about 4 inches around the waist and I have a lot more energy to play with my kiddo. My wife really enjoys the program, and my son has gotten a lot better with listening and following instructions since joining. I will say that although martial arts is a sport. The program really teaches life skills with real world value. Think of it as a program to get your kids ready for the future with different life skills. The martial arts aspect is just an added bonus. I highly recommend victory martial arts and I recommend martial arts to just about everyone i talk to.

I wanted to update my review from 2 years ago. My daughter is still attending CTI. She is now a…read moregreen belt and has attended their 6 night camp in Granby two times without Mom and Dad. In addition to everything I previously mentioned, we have also found that CTI provides a safe environment for her to practice her social skills. Her peers are taught to be caring and patient. They exceed expectations and every CTI parent should be very proud of their CTI kids. The instructors provide guidance, but it's the students who rally around her and have helped her engage with them. 12/12/14-My daughter has autism and intellectual disabilities. A year ago her pediatrician recommended Taekwondo to help with her low muscle tone. I began my search for a place that would embrace her differences and allow her to have fun. I found Colorado Taekwondo Institute through a review that spoke highly of them with regard to working with special education children so I gave it a try. CTI has been her home away from home. She feels welcome and empowered. She has been going two days a week for an entire year. The instructors are patient, kind, and encouraging. She has also been mentored by a red belt who has been a godsend. The mentoring sessions are weekly and free. My daughter looks forward to her mentoring sessions. She comes home after class very happy. They also have an annual family review to discuss the positive aspects of having your child in class as well as discussing goals. This had such a profound and lasting effect on my daughter. She still has the butcher paper they wrote these items on hanging in her room. CTI treats my daughter with the same respect they offer to all the participants. They expect the same behavior and activities from her that they expect from all the participants. They understand her disabilities, but instead of focusing on her limitations, they let her tell them when she feels she can't do something. Surprisingly, she has never suggested that she couldn't do something. She trusts her instructors because they have shown themselves to be trustworthy. She sometimes needs a little convincing, but she has risen to the occasion and is now testing for her yellow belt. I have to say that the most impressive and surprising part of our CTI experience has been the impact it has had on me. I am acutely aware of my daughter's disabilities and have sworn never to limit her because of them or to use them as an excuse. CTI has shown me that I was in fact using her disabilities as a crutch. They have shown me that my daughter is capable of more than I had ever imagined. Will she ever be a rocket scientist? Before CTI, I would have said no. Now I say, if she works hard enough, she can do anything. Thanks CTI!
