In 1981, Darley HQ was established in the UK at Dalham Hall Stud, near Newmarket, the historic home of Thoroughbred horseracing. Darley currently stands around 80 stallions in seven countries around the world, headed by Dubawi, son of the famous Dubai Millennium. The world-renowned breeding operation includes Kildangan Stud in County Kildare, Ireland; Jonabell Farm, in Kentucky, USA, and two studs in Australia, Kelvinside and Northwood Park. There are also studs in France, New Zealand and Japan. Darley is named after one of the dominant foundation sires of the modern Thoroughbred, the Darley Arabian. Today the Darley name is synonymous with stallion breeding excellence. This information is from their website. Nyquist is one of the horses at Jonabell Farm, Kentucky. Undefeated in eight starts when winning the Kentucky Derby. Eclipse Champion at two when he won three G1s, including the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. The first champion two-year-old to win the Derby undefeated since the great Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew. Also only the second horse ever to take the Breeders' Cup Juvenile and Kentucky Derby. He's the leading first-crop covering sire in 2017 with an average of over $300,000. We had a great day at this farm and really enjoyed our day here. This is a must see on any tour of Lexington.
