Our dogs actually settled down quickly because there wasn't a lot of noise from outside. I was surprised by this because the place was packed with mostly crews from workers doing road construction and other projects. The beds were very comfortable and the climate control worked well. Unlike some pet friendly places, this room had carpeting and it looked clean, although one of our dogs gave it a thorough sniffing. We did have to pay a non-refundable cleaning deposit but it was reasonable. It had a refrigerator and microwave, plus bathroom amenities. There was also some kind of breakfast but sleep took precedence so I can't comment on that.

Between Amanda's pleasant personality, and the expected cleanliness of the room, it redeemed my hope in the hotel industry once again. We have stayed here multiple times and I've never had an issue. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is pretty good, with both hot and cold options. They accommodate pets and have always normally had a room when we needed one. I will continue to use this as my midst stop if needed between vacation and home.

The house is beautiful, the rooms were very clean, and the porch is just lovely with lots of seating. I loved the towels (nice and fluffy), the bed was really comfortable, and the home cooked breakfast was amazing. This is not a buffet of pre-cooked items - there is a menu posted on a blackboard, and you can choose from various egg dishes, french toast, etc., including a yogurt parfait with granola they make themselves (which was wonderful). And the coffee is awesome! The location is also great, it is an easy walk (about a quarter mile) to the center of town. The O'Keefe room specifically: large room, king size bed, a ceiling fan (which I loved having), a little table and two comfortable chairs, which was nice for relaxing, and a *huge* bathroom. There are a few things to note (for which I would probably take off half a star if yelp allowed that). - The wifi is pretty slow at times. We didn't have any trouble streaming video, but on and off as we were using our tablets for other things, we would run into issues. - The water pressure is terrible in the shower. That might just be because the house is so old, but it seems like there must be something they can do to increase the pressure at least a little. - The tv's are too small. I get most people probably don't go there to watch TV, but after a long day hiking in the canyon we needed to relax. Our room probably had the biggest TV of all (which isn't saying much) - I looked into the other rooms and they were about the size of a computer monitor. But, those were minor inconveniences, compared to staying in a wonderful, clean house with the perfect location. If and when we get back to Canyon, we would definitely stay there again.

I can feel the springs as I sleep. the TVs are from 2010 and so thick they don't even work with the mounts because they're so heavy mine just leans over and faces the floor. Breakfast is fairly deplorable with nothing really appetizing, but this is standard kind of for these type of hotels. Customer service is ok as long as you don't interrupt them watching TV out in the foyer while they wait for you to come in, then rush to the desk or on their phones. The exterior looks terrible as well. This is definitely deserving of two stars and I won't be staying here again when I come back. forgot to mention my coworker that staying here his room started to leak the other day when there was a storm and they basically told him to come down and get towels and clean it up himself. I typically book through Priceline, not sure if that's where everything went wrong or it was the hotel personnel. But right away everything was off, I will provide pictures of what was wrong but I will start off saying the room that was given to us was not a double suite room it was a king suit. Leaving my son sleeping on the floor during our stay. I attempted multiple times to have the room changed and the staff refused and only provided us with bedding to put on the floor for him. They said our room was a double suite. It was not. Second, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were out of their spot, the faucet to the tub was not securely placed and the door just looked unkept. I spent 580.00 for a 2 day/3 night stay for my child to end up sleeping on the floor during this stay. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with how the staff handled the situation and the upkeep of the room. As a frequent guest at a holiday inn this is by far the worst one I have ever stayed in.

Everyone was friendly and helpful and the towels and bedding are fluffy and clean. After checkout and 500 miles away, I realized I had left an expensive item in my room and called the front desk. My item had already been located and put safely behind the desk and one of my family members was already on his way to pick it up for me! I can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality they showed my family while we grieved the loss of one of our own.
