I recently had to get root canals done on two severely damaged teeth. I was very nervous considering I had a root canal done elsewhere years ago that ended horribly. I am so thankful for Dr.Pauk! He explained everything well and made me feel at ease. He even offered me heavy duty headphones when I mentioned that I'm sensitive to the drill noise, which I really appreciated. I could tell he genuinely cared about doing the best possible job on my teeth. He is a really great doctor and you can tell he takes pride in doing a great job, which gave me a sense of comfort as a patient. I felt good after both appointments, just some very slight discomfort similar to after having a cavity filled. I'm so thankful for my experience here. Oh, WOW! That was the best dentist visit ever. Sweet, quick, and painless! Check in process was quick, front desk is super friendly and helpful, the dental assistant, tammy, is super nice as well and pleasant to talk to before the specialist came in. Dr. Gotlieb did a great job and was gentle and proficient. He didn't leave me in pain at all. I hope I don't need to come back for a root canal ever in my life but I wouldn't mind coming back here if I did. Enjoy!! read more

Dr. G is the best in the biz. First, he talked me off the first root canal ledge and then proceeded to perform a painless root canal on my infected molar in short order. He was precise and methodical in his approach and explained each step of the procedure as he went along. He was very mindful of both my stress and pain levels. Discriminatory against those who have dental insurance. Demand social security number or a patient must pay up front, which begs the question - what happens when they get the $$ from the insurance company after you already paid? Something is sketchy here... and it's not the x-rays. read more

The staff is incredibly rude. I have been treated by Dr. Gottlieb in the past for a root canal, and have no complaints about him. But recently I called his front desk, in pain, trying to schedule an emergency appointment. The person who answered was impatient and exasperated from the jump. She told me to call back at a certain time, and when I did, I got someone else, who was actually even more rude. I have extensive involvement with the medical and dental system and I understand how stressed some people working within the system are, but there was no excuse for the rude treatment I received by not one, but two office staff. I told the second one that I thought it would probably be best if I found someone else and she said "It sure would" and hung up. I had done nothing to earn that disdain - they were both rude when they picked up the phone. I don't know what's making them so miserable but if they can't be kinder to people who are often in pain, and often paying an exorbitant sum, they should find another line of work- perhaps tending to graveyards where few people will have to interact with them. read more

I notice there aren't too many current reviews. Office scheduling needs to improve before I would recommend scheduling an appt. I had an appt scheduled for 3:00 today. Arrived early and attempted to call for parking lot check in. Busy. Then voicemail. I left message that I had arrived. To my surprise, the office called me to inform me my appt had been changed to earlier today. However, no one told ME. I asked if there was anything they could do to see me because gum has abscess. The best they could do was get back to me in an hour. I was able to schedule with another office for this week and drove home 30 mins away. Unnecessary travel and disruption that could have been avoided with competent office staff. read more

My first experience with his office, even before my root canal, was a bad one. Today before my route canal I received a voicemail from the office telling me that they need a $550 deposit even though my insurance covers the procedure 100%. This just reeks of scam to me. I called my insurance to confirm and yes they do cover this procedure 100%. The doctor's office even called me back to say that they had confirmed that the procedure was covered 100% but they still need the deposit just in case my insurance company doesn't pay them. I have never had any doctors office of any kind including specialists ask for a deposit for treatment when I have full health insurance and full dental insurance. Since they didn't tell me about this deposit until the day before my treatment I have no choice but to go in for the root canal as my chances of getting a root canal performed by anybody else on New Year's Eve are zero. read more

I had tooth that either needed to be removed and replaced with an implant or a serious root canal. Dr. Gotlieb was referred to me by my regular dentist for an evaluation. He examined my tooth and determined that my tooth could be saved- something that others thought was impossible. He was very patient with me and professional. It took several treatments of antibiotics but ultimately we were able to save my tooth while my regular dentist was able to put the crown on for me. Working with his office was a breeze. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who needs a root canal. read more

Extremely rude office staff. We were concern about a referral for a root channel. The office would not answer questions, have someone call us back or talk with our dentist. Other reviews noted the endondonist also was very rude. This is definitely caring over to his office staff. We went else where and were treated much better. Recommend going somewhere else. read more

No warning in advance of your arrival about how much they Bill you out of pocket. Showed up for my scheduled root canal and they needed $400 that I didn't have, and would not wait to charge my card one day, as I get paid on Friday. No sympathy, no compassion. Dentists must not take the Hippocratic oath. read more

I had to have two root canals, approximately 3 years apart and I saw Dr. Gotlieb for both. He is honest and explains the procedure thoroughly. I liked that he confirmed the diagnosis given by my general dentist before just doing the root canal. His staff is great! The receptionist was extremely helpful in explaining my insurance and how they bill. Unfortunately they are not in-network with my dental insurance so I had to pay approximately 10% more upfront but I appreciated them doing the billing for me. I have to add, I actually got a $73 refund from the office once my insurance paid so that was an unexpected surprise! Dr. Gotlieb's assistant was also wonderful. She was as pleasant as the receptionist and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Hopefully I don't need any more root canals but if I do, I will only see Dr. Gotlieb and his staff!! read more

My past experiences with previous dentists were anything, but great. I avoided them much like the plaque. I been to a couple of dentists before I found this one. I recently felt a sensitivity in my tooth and my mom recommended me to this office. I was a bit skeptical of all the good things I hear about this place, being that all my prior experiences with dentists were pretty crappy. So imagine my surprise when my last 2 office visits with Dr. Gotlieb have been great. He is super friendly and great at explaining procedures, really attentative and not pushy, at all. My last visit with him was for a deep cleaning and cavity fill in. I wasn't exactly thrilled about the procedures, but knew I needed it done. ( I avoided dentists for a looooong time before I came here - hence the deep cleaning) He made it as painless as possible, even recommended me a non evasive option for numbing my teeth - (I hate needles). After the whole procedure was done, literally after an half an hour later - the numbing had subsided and I felt no lasting pain from the procedure! I was even able to make it in time to enjoy a friend's birthday lunch after the appointment! They even called me later that day to check up on me and see if I was doing ok. How nice is that? It's awesome, absolutely awesome. State of the art equipment? Check. Friendly and super nice receptionists and staff? Check. Considerate and awesome dentist? Check. Would highly recommend! read more

Had to go have a difficult root canal finished up. Dr. Gotlieb was fantastic. He's a very nice man who puts his patients at ease and explains precisely what he's doing. My root canal was completely pain-free and I was done in 45 minutes. His assistant seemed a bit harassed. I'm not sure if the practice is currently understaffed or if she was just having a bad day, but I still wouldn't hesitate to go back if I needed another procedure that my regular dentist thought warranted a specialist's attention. read more
