We submitted A full asking price CASH offer on Saturday morning, requesting a response by 5 PM on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, Sunday evening, passed without any response, even after our realtor reached out to her at 7 PM. I forgot to mention she changed the wording on Zillow AFTER we submitted our offer. This morning, we checked Zillow and found the property marked as PENDING. I believe that a truly ethical & professional realtor would have informed our realtor of any higher offers and given us the opportunity to adjust our bid accordingly. I suppose we will find out after the sale is finalized how much it sold for and to whom. While, I'm not making accusations, the circumstances of an agreement made on a Sunday night do seem questionable.

Carla, one of the owners, is very sharp and knows the market trends. Carla left on a long time planned vacation but left us in good hands with her Team. The entire team always helped us anytime we had questions We would definitely recommend Nix Realtors to everyone!!.

I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision…read more I was relocating from Colorado to Florida while seven months pregnant, so I needed a realtor I could trust. Unfortunately, my experience with Sarah Lowry was incredibly disappointing and added unnecessary stress to an already overwhelming move. The first home I wanted to purchase was lost because Sarah told me the sellers wouldn't agree to my timeline. I even offered to rent out my Colorado home to accommodate them. Later, after I questioned what was happening, I found out she had never actually heard back from the sellers. Had I known that, I could have pursued the property differently. That opportunity was lost. When I asked to be released from my buyer's agreement, she refused. We eventually found another home, but I had to ask her to go view it. Throughout the transaction, I handled everything promptly--earnest money, inspection payments, paperwork--so delays were never on my end. Before making an offer, I repeatedly asked whether the pool had a heater because it was important to me. Each time, I was assured that it did. After the inspection, we discovered there was no pool heater. Instead of taking responsibility, Sarah suggested I give up my negotiated epoxy garage floors and ask for a pool heater instead--even though the mistake was hers. I refused. Installing a heater would cost me approximately $7,000. She eventually contributed $3,000 toward the mistake, while the sellers would not provide one, leaving me responsible for the remaining cost. After closing, the problems continued. Several repair items that were contractually agreed upon still had not been completed, and I constantly had to follow up for updates. I rarely received proactive communication. The final straw came when I asked for an update on the repairs and why I always had to be the one following up. Instead of addressing my concerns, Sarah told me I was being "nasty," gave me the sellers' phone number, and said I could be "rude and nasty" to them instead. That response was incredibly unprofessional. Throughout this process, I moved across the country while pregnant, purchasing a home I had never seen in person. Sarah only had to visit one property, attend one inspection, and complete one final walkthrough, yet I often felt like I was inconveniencing her simply by expecting communication and follow-through. Even after closing, she never explained how I would access my new home. I had to ask, "How do I get into my house?" She simply texted me the garage code. There was no offer to meet me, hand over keys, or make sure everything went smoothly. She also accused me of being "nasty" to the mortgage company she recommended. The reality is that the day before closing, I was unexpectedly told I needed to pay off a $60,000 car loan. Anyone facing that kind of last-minute surprise while relocating across the country would understandably be frustrated. I believe good customer service is measured by communication, accountability, and advocacy. Unfortunately, I experienced very little of any of those. Instead, I was left chasing updates, correcting mistakes, and defending myself for simply expecting the level of service that any homebuyer deserves. I cannot recommend Sarah based on my experience. Buying a home--especially from another state while pregnant--should have been exciting. Instead, it became one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had because I never felt supported or represented.

Mr. Sam Helgemo is knowledge, resourceful and an absolute specialist in real estate. He's a natural conversationalist and a humble person. We came to know Sam in our housing search and couldn't have been more pleased with him. Not only because he helped us find our home but that he delivered quality service that is few and far between. When we began to view homes, he arranged viewings in the same time frame, on our time. While viewing homes, he would always point out any benefits or pitfalls-- things we would have otherwise overlooked. We attributed this to his expertise in real estate and home restoration. He has a knack for what is fair value in the market and would jump on anything that looked overpriced and would encourage us to negotiate or would find reasonable alternatives. He embodies servant leadership-- a prime example is our move. We bought a home with Sam's help and had to make an immediate move. Our natural expectation is that we would have to find someone rather quickly to help us. However, with Sam, everything is better. He helped us move and arranged a team for us. He rolled up his sleeves with us and was there to help us get some big pieces out of our home. Never in a million year would we have thought or expected him to do this. This is by far not the norm for a realtor and it speaks loudly to his character as a human being. Also, and more importantly, he is NOT pushy. I cannot stress how important this is. He really cares about the customer and doesn't want the largest financial decision of most people's lives to be a poor one. If you had to ask us if we would use Sam again, the answer is yes. He is truly the best of the best.

Awesome realtor to work with…read more I have to give mad props to realtor, Sam Helgemo. We went from eh kind of looking for a house to being serious about a house and we worked with him throughout the whole process. We were only kind of looking for a solid two years. Sam would send us listings but he never pushed us about anything. When we finally decided to take the plunge, we wanted to see houses all in one day while my dad was in town so he could see them too. Not only did Sam set up a ton of different listings for us to see, but when we decided to up our price point after seeing the first couple of houses he got on the phone and set up even more showings within that hour. There are a couple of reasons I can wholeheartedly recommend Sam. 1. He knows the costs of renovations. We were looking for a turnkey ready house (isn't everybody), but when there were minor or major things that we would want to change, Sam was able to ballpark how much it would cost. He is constantly renovating his own houses so he is very familiar with prices. It is extremely handy to have a realtor who can do that so you know if you're looking at a couple hundred dollars or a couple thousand dollars for the changes you want. 2. Sam is a bulldog. We had a ton of back and forth with the title company (which was chosen by the seller) and I was able to let him completely handle it and got through it relatively stress free. Sam isn't afraid to get on the phone and get answers. You want him on your side. 3. He isn't pushy. The entire process I felt like he was working with our best interest in mind. I'm always cognizant of when I'm working with people who have outside interests (e.g. commission), but that never seemed to factor in when dealing with Sam. Even after we raised our price point we still ended up going with a house that was under our max. I felt fully supported in every decision I made. I honestly don't know what else you'd want in a realtor. Sam has integrity, is knowledgeable, and he gets the job done.
