Very hostile rude staff. I walked in there recently and the clerk walked right into me pushing me into the wall. She never said excuse me or sorry. She said that's her job. To push customers into a wall? Violent woman. She's from another country. I'm Canada if you commit a crime you can be deported if you weren't born here. I told her if she does that again I'll file charges against her for assault. She started yelling Typo In Canada you can be deported if you weren't born here and you commit a crime. I also bought brie cheese there once and it was rotten. I brought itit back with the receipt and they reluctantly refunded it. The manager was very nasty about it. This was a regular stop for fruit & veggie shopping until today. The tall blond pony tailed manager refused the return of 1/2 a bag of soggy baby spinach because I did not have the bill . It was purchased 48 hrs ago & returned in the original store clear bag with their label attached for the grand price of just over $2.00 .Have been going there for many years The fruit men were always very helpful in selecting for me the good melons etc etc.etc. She made a very unwise decision. I will NEVER return. read more

Since the pandemic the staff that remained has become so acerbic and mean that it is almost impossible to shop there. At times there are more staff in the aisles wearing lab coats which does make one wonder. In any case if you can shop elsewhere I strongly advise you to do so. Plus I believe they manipulate certain foods that appear unusually large and bright in the midst of winter. I will not go back since they are misleading with their organic products. read more

This is by far my favorite store for fruits, veggies and cheeses. No, they are not the cheapest price but the quality of the items I purchese is so high it blows the competition out of the water. The sweet and regular potatoes are large and well shaped, the oranges have ripe great flavor, and their Gnocchi prices are very low. While I do admit the cheeses can be pricey it's also because they carry many imported cheeses which supermarkets don't. They have such a high turnover on goods that I have never found anything stale, spoiled or old there. read more

Exo Fruits is a stupendously overpriced fruits and veggie market that can't decide if they want to be a full grocery store or not. You're in the land of 3$ non-organic avocados. What planet they're from remains a mystery. I don't understand their value proposition. On a street with a metro supermarket, a 24 hour farmers market and a charming organic shop mere steps away, I fail to see why one would choose Exo fruits. If someone would care to enlighten me, I'm all ears since I live in the neighborhood. Perhaps there's some unique thing they carry that can't be found elsewhere? Great selection of quality exotic and local fruits and vegetables, all year fresh and affordable for the quality. Descent charcuterie, cheese and european produce. Very good ice cream selection. Bread and coffee could be more in tune with current trend. But you get all that in one place. It is one of the best and most quality constant place in the area. read more

I absolutely love this store!. We frequently visit Montreal , coming from Chicago and every time we are there , we make a point of stopping in this store. Fruit selections are great and always find items that are best in the category and unique. This time around we found many dried fruits and nuts from all over the world. A well stocked small store with fairly good quality fresh fruit & vegetables that are clean and can be kept for a longer time than what is generally available in the farmers market across the street. There's a variety of organic products that's quite good and affordable. Regular shoppers don't have the incentives such as a points card or air miles as offered by Metro for instance. One thing that really irritates me and puts me off shopping at this store is that, every time I shop here the workers would watch me, then follow me around (possibly notice my confusion looking for products, I don't know!) and they'd ask if I'm looking for any thing in particular...that's not exactly my ideal shopping experience nonetheless I appreciate the help to locate the products although I want to spend time and read the ingredients for instance and not feel so rushed. Perhaps a better display of products, a more attractive entrance, counters, well organized shelves, are some of the areas of improvement. Overall the store carries quality produce and diary products.
