Upon arriving my friend and I walked in and noticed that all the people from gallery night were obviously here as well. There must have been 50 people in the front room alone! As I began browsing I saw such unique pieces of artwork and caught myself staring at some for what felt like hours. I was honestly lost in his artwork! We made our way through the gallery discovering pieces of art on every wall. The vibe was so casual and the crowd was just great. I really enjoyed the artwork I saw as well as the interactions I had with some of the crowd. I know I want to go back another day when it isn't so crowded so that I can explore the gallery again.

Merill Strauss greeted us and told us about the pieces, the history, and helped us understand a bit more about the artwork and how it's assembled. Look for incredible colored glass exhibits from famous artists. You can see many of these pieces in Museums, businesses and mansions. Some pieces are far larger than chandeliers and have delicate "petals" coming out like flowers. I can't wait to go back and see what they have in store for us.

The building is obviously very old, but the interior seems very well kept. Seems like it was many buildings that have been converted into one- remember to look up while inside to see the unique architecture making up the roof/ceiling! There were some local kids running around the place, eating pizza, and playing games during the networking event. They were welcomed with open arms by the folks running the event. That just shows how awesome the owners are- welcoming everyone and really becoming a part of the community.

Very professional musicuans with a lot of original compositions. Loved the fact that it was a family friendly atmosphere and I was comfortable being there with my teenage son and his friend. Both were pretty darn good and didn't set me back too much. Service was good and servers only smelled of weed a little bit. Had an opportunity to check it out during a public event called Something Crafty This Way Comes - A Dark Arts A-Faire. While this was a unique event, I didn't stay long because I really just wanted to see the Mad Art space. When you walk through the door you are taken back in time. I think that Mad Art has done such an amazing job keeping the original character of the police station. The marble walls and flooring pull you in with so much classic vibes. There was a bar area that was behind bars. I really really loved the old prison cell. I really think this would be the perfect place for a wedding or major event as it's super memorable. One tip is to follow the Mad Art page on Facebook. They announce public events on their page. I noticed that their events aren't kept up to date on their website. Looking forward to more chances to get to hang out in Mad Art.
