He was punctual, reliable, adhered to his quoted estimates and project timing, friendly, provided daily updates (if the project spanned more than a day) and provided great input/ideas for our projects. He was able to take on both large and small projects around our house. His molding work is impeccable and absolutely transformed the place. He and his team also painted the entire interior. The lines were clean and the paint covered the old color (vibrant pink and sky blue) fully. This took at least three layers of paint (primer and marque one coat paint). found guillermo on yelp and reached out to him because of his amazing reviews. he quickly responded, gave me a quote and planned to come over during his next availability. guillermo arrived on time (i would like to highlight the fact that he came on time because i've worked with other handy men who would give me a time frame and then show up like an hour late and they don't even bother to call me or let me know what is going on) guillermo helped me remove a door to the bathroom, trim the new door, install the new door and install new door pulls. he was extremely meticulous, careful and considerate, making sure to lay down a sheet before he worked, and cleaning up after the job was done. not only that, when he was installing the door pulls, he was very careful with his measurements, and drilling and scraping the door. i heard he doesn't come out to the city often to do jobs, but was really grateful he came out to help me. at the end he also helped us pop out some lights in the bathroom that were a bit too high for me to reach :) guillermo is reliable and knows what he is doing. would totally recommend guillermo to anyone! read more

I needed someone to come patch up the framing and structure of our new windows and front door. Guillermo and Roberto were very conscientious, respectful to our house and our cats (!) Guillermo strives for quality and making sure the end result looks right. Some of our paint colors didn't provide good coverage so he had to put numerous coats making sure all looks fine. We also loved the convenience of receiving electronic invoices and be able to submit our payments online. Overall, despite the stress of living in the place that is under construction , our experience with GL handy was great. We found the fee for service to be excessive (more than double what we paid for the light - the price charged for patching is, in my experience comparable to what would be charged to paint an entire room) - Just not worth it.
