Simon, the driver we had, was very knowledgable of the city and even out of his way to drop us off to our next tour location The dogs looked healthy and well taken care of. Very friendly staff. We scheduled the dog sledding trip before realizing it would be raining the entire time but decided to try it anyway. I AM SO HAPPY WE DID!!! What a wonderful experience my husband and I had. The staff (Justin,I believe) was extremely helpful knowledgeable and patient with our questions. They introduced us to our team of dogs and we were in our way. The weather was less than grand but the experience was amazing!! I would highly recommend them! We each had an opportunity to drive/ride the sled and they made time for photos. Unfortunately on the day of our dog sledding the weather was horrible - total blizzard. However, one of their employees still managed to happily pick us up from our hotel and drive through the snow to the sled grounds. Thankfully they had plenty of comfy snow shoes, jackets and pants, as an Australian I can't say I own many of these items! The weather was beyond freezing but that didn't stop the dogs from being eager to get out and run. Even through the snow the view was beautiful and was definitely worth while! They had puppies as well, which we got to spend time inside their enclosure and play with them for a while! They were the cutest little husky puppies I have ever set eyes on. Definitely disappointed I didn't receive a complimentary puppy on my way out! Hands down one of the best experiences of my life, would 100% recommend this to anyone travelling to Quebec! read more

What a fun activity! My boyfriend and I booked our appointment the morning of ( on Valentines Day ) and they were still able to accommodate us on short notice for the 1pm slot. They picked us up at our hotel, which was so convenient. You can purchase heavier winter gear ( boots & jackets ) or a safety locker if you need, but they won't pressure you to do so. There are basic explanations in English and French, but the dogs know what they are doing so you don't have to do much. Don't get me wrong, this is hard to do ( I mean, in terms of working with your team and getting them excited ) but that's to expect for first timers. All of the dogs were friendly, so don't be afraid if the dogs are wrestling with one another. After the trip, be sure to thank your team and give lots of hugs! Oh right, I fell off the sled in the middle of the woods ( my mistake, my balance was off! ) but a staff member came to our aid in just seconds to make sure I was fine ( I was!). My partner and I had an overall great experience at Expedition Mi-Loup. The island is beautiful in the winter and I highly recommend the trip. We stayed the night at the Auberge and our room was super cute and rustic, but comfortable. The dog-sledding is definitely an experience you've got to try! The dogs clearly enjoy their work and it was extremely fun! A couple minor complaints: 1) Communication was a little lacking. We booked our room online and received a confirmation, but there was no option to book for dog-sledding. I tried calling three times, but nobody ever picked up or returned my call. So when we got there, we asked if we could dog sled and they were all booked up for the day. They fit us in the next morning, but that meant leaving and getting home much later than expected. It all worked out, but I would love to see them improve in this regard. 2) Not sure why there was a TV in the room if there was no cable or DVD player. Get rid of it, or hook it up! For the most part, this was an absolute blast. Check it off your bucket list! read more

I booked a package for my wife and I dogsledding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. They took way too many people at the same time and were very disorganized. When it's freezing and you spend almost $400 on a days activity you'd want the customer service to be responsive. They weren't. My wife almost lost her toes because they wouldn't take her back after several times asking. When we got back I requested at least a partial refund they said no. CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE. read more

Great experience! We decided to try this with a group of friends staying in Quebec City for a long weekend. It was a very last minute decision and we weren't sure what we were getting into. They picked the 12 of us up in a us at the Frontenac hotel and drove about 30 minutes to the old stone Aubergere we were provided ski suits, boots an gloves and introduced to our dog team. Spent the next hour and a half sledding with a team of 5 dogs through beautiful wooded trails. The guides were terrific and anyone with even limited coordination could manage. Highly recommend this for couples or families. Ended up as the trip highlight. read more

First time visitors of Quebec, my husband and I booked the trio option, dog sledding, snow mobile, and snow shoeing. The day we were scheduled to go there was a snowstorm, however, we were picked up from our hotel by a very nice and experienced driver. When we arrived to the cabin, we were greeted by a woman who wasn't the most pleasant or inviting I would say. The dog sledding was fun but a lot of work for the "driver " of the sled to get over the hills. Snow mobile was fun but also difficult for a beginner because of all the powdered snow and steep turns. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The only complaint was that there are no beverages except a vending machine that does not work, or any type of food or snacks. For us who did the trio and were there for about 4 hours, it would have been nice to have a warm lunch and some warm beverages considering we were out in extremely cold weather. read more

Our dogsledding experience was our family's favorite experience in Quebec! The ride was exhilarating, and the property was absolutely beautiful. The dogs are enthusiastic and full of personality. We drove the dogsleds, and there were plenty of staff nearby to ensure that things would go smoothly. They also provided extra blankets, and the extra bundling allowed my small children to remain comfortable despite to 10 degrees F temperature. I booked dog sled & snowmobiling through the hotel two weeks in advance for our 4 kids and us, when we got to Quebec the temperature had dropped, we checked with them the day before to make sure everything was still OK, they said yes and to show up. We arrived on time the next day and checked in, when our guide showed up she told us the conditions were unsafe especially for kids as the temperature on the plains were -40C. As this was a safety issues I expected not to be charge but they hit me for $956.00 CAD and told me that it was there policy, so we are out all that money for nothing. Very disappointing as this was our family vacation and we could have use this money for something else with the kids. read more
