For my 45th birthday, I wanted to experience something out of the ordinary. I wanted to celebrate in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere where I can have conversations with my family without competing against the noise. My husband found the perfect place. He made reservations for Experience Cooking with Chef Jessica. When we arrived, Chef Jessica welcomed us with such charm and enthusiasm. We took the Homemade Pasta class. What a treat! Little did we know that we, as a family, can make a fine pasta dish from scratch! Not only did we prepared an amazingly tasting dough (if I may say!) but we transformed the dough into nicely-shaped ravioli. The fact that my 14-years old son, 11-years old daughter, husband and I were able to work together, cook together, laugh together at our messes and have fun together cooking as we were patiently guided by Chef Jessica turned out to be an extraordinary experience. I went to Experience Cooking with my girlfriends. In short, we had the best time. The space is beautiful, the food was incredible, truly, and the chef/teacher knew her stuff. You could just tell she was in her element and wanted all of us to have a great time cooking, too. We each had our own prep station. Jessica demonstrated how to make our own pasta from scratch. Wow. Yum. We made our own squash stuffing for the ravioli and toppings. Did I mention it was delicious-- the combination of the fresh ravioli, pancetta, roasted vegetables, and fresh herbs was heavenly. Everything was well organized and prepped for you. Some of the cooking/prep was done solo, and some you paired up (like when running the pasta dough through the pasta maker). I liked both aspects, really. Jessica was sure to insert useful cooking tips. Before long the room smelled amazing, we were all drinking and having a great time together. We laughed and oohed and ahhed a lot. Her price point it a good one, esp compared with other cooking classes. I would love to do a double-date cooking class another time: romantic and fun. read more

My team from work and I went to Experience Cooking for our quarterly team bonding event, and we were thrilled with our experience. Chef Jessica helped us prepare a full Italian meal, including homemade pasta from scratch, and everything was absolutely delicious! The kitchen is immaculate, all of the food was ready for us when we arrived, and there was something for each of us to do to help prepare the meal. Jessica was encouraging, entertaining, and patient with cooks of all skill levels. Afterwards, we all sat down in Jessica's beautiful dining room and ate our meal together. And the best part? I recently attended a cooking class with Chef Jessica at Experience Cooking, It was delightful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. Chef Jessica is patient and very knowledgable about her passion in cooking. Even in a group setting she really takes time to work one on one with everybody while teaching the whole group. I learned everything from how to hold a knife correctly, how to properly cut a onion and to make and turn dough into pasta. The way Chef Jessica teaches anyone can learn. She has an amazing talent not only in the kitchen but as a teacher guiding you through the process of cooking your meal. I always have a great time when doing Experience Cooking! I am no professional in the kitchen, but I do love to cook for my family. I always learn something new with Chef Jessica! In the Mexican cooking class, I learned how to fix an amazing jicama salad to go along with tacos (our family favorite) and I learned how easy homemade salsa is to make (no more store bought salsa in my house!). An extremely fun and educational evening in which I learned many things to take home with me. But it's all about the people, and someone has to have the chemistry to move the people. This is an attribute that Jessica has...motivating people to learn, share, and help each other. Her kindness and patience make her genuinely happy to be around, and made our classmates happy to around each other. If I had a small business I would use Jessica's team building skills to benefit my group. I hope to attend more of her classers in the future. read more

My husband and I were looking for something different to do for date night and we were absolutely not disappointed! Not only was the food incredible, Chef Jessica was so accommodating and welcoming. It was in her home and we really felt more like friends than customers. We will most definitely be back. I can't say enough about how delicious the homemade pasta was. We had an excellent time with Chef Jessica! I was so nervous about this class as I am by no means a cook, but Chef Jessica made everyone feel at ease in the kitchen. She is so welcoming, encouraging, funny, and down to earth! She made sure everyone was engaged in the class. Sharing the meal together as a group was a nice way to end the evening. We did the Mexican night for a surprise birthday party for my wife. It was a great time and the food was amazing. In fact the food was so good I went out the next day and bought a tortilla press so I could give the recipes a go at home. Chef Jessica was a great host and got us all engaged in the class. The kitchen is set up great for learning and there is plenty of room to work. It was great to eat the meal you just cooked at the end of the evening. I would highly recommend chef Jessica. read more

My daughter and I had a great experience making homemade ravioli, old world style. From her perfectly appointed kitchen, Jessica leads class with just the right amount of hands on without letting anyone "stray too far off reservation"! This was a very fun opportunity to learn new recipes - and eat them! We went as guests with friends and were delighted with the experience. We were taught new cooking techniques in a professional kitchen by Jessica. She took us step by step through all of the recipes and we all worked together to create our meal, including dessert. Everyone has their own station and her individual attention allows for learning all the techniques being taught. The dinner afterward is intimate and class size is small. Fantastic experience. Jessica was more than accommodating for our large group. We were working on team building and she help us with the process of getting people to work together while learning interesting things about the food we were cooking as well.
