Pink ombré dip powder- I've gotten tons of compliments!
Addy B.

Let me preface this: Do not come here if you want a "quick" mani or pedi. Nothing about this salon is "quick" AT ALL. I think good nail salons in Evansville are far few and in between. I came to this salon after having gone to another salon earlier in the week. Yes, the other mani barely lasted 3 days. I am in town for business and really needed my nails to do look great so I scheduled an appointment at this salon. I came in on a Saturday and had my appointment scheduled for 3pm. I came in 5 mins beforehand. I was greeted by a woman in the first station. I signed in on a clipboard and took a seat. There were about 6 people seated already so there wasn't tons of space. Now here is where the fun begins... 3:30pm came by and still nothing. I waited for HALF HOUR even with an appointment and I still wasn't acknowledged or asked to pick out a color. It seems as though most of the people who were at this salon were returning customer so as a new customer I didn't know where they have their color options and which is shellac and dip. It wasn't until about 3:50pm that I was seated the station. Even then I was finally asked to pick out my nail color. While I was picking it out it seems as though the manager or owner helping me was trying to multi task by getting other customers helped. She would tell me to wait while getting another customers nails soaked. She finally started on my nails after about 10 minutes. I chose to do the dip powder since all of my friends rave about it. Although I wasn't happy about the wait I understand why this place has such a wait. Although she was micromanaging in the beginning the nail tech took her time removing my old polish and buffing out my nails. She was very meticulous and detail oriented. I opted for a pink dip ombré and she spent time layering on the gel coats and dip. I'd rather wait to have a nice set than someone rush and make me come back. The nail tech then proceeded to tell me that they have a new punch card system so for every time you pay cash, you get a discount after 10 visits. Would I come back? Yes but I'd make sure I had no where to be or anything to do. You'll have some pretty nails by the end but expect to wait.

First of all, the man doing my friend and I's pedicures was absolutely one of the rudest people I've ever spoken to in a nail salon. He was aggressive, scoffed, and was giving very dirty looks to us the entire time. Secondly, one woman began doing my full set, only to stop and make someone else finish them halfway through to do another girl's nails even though she showed up 30 minutes before her appointment. I had 3 different techs switch off doing my nails. Not to mention, another tech made multiple of my friends nail beds bleed, and she still had to pay full price. I do not recommend and will not be returning to this establishment.

I have been going to Donna over a year now. I had tried two other places before going to her. I…read moredidn't tell her about my previous experiences until after my service was completed. Going to her was the biggest difference. The place is super clean and always in order. The easy online scheduling makes finding a time that works with my schedule convenient. I'm not a fan of having to play let's find a slot. Finding what works for me in a few minutes in perfect. As far as services goes. There is a night and day difference between her and other businesses in the tri state. I found that other places do not take the time to explain everything and give you extra useful information. Also, Donna strives for perfection not just the first time because you are a new client but EVERYTIME!! I have done waxing, facials, etc with her. Every service has always been nothing but perfect. She uses nothing the the best natural products and my skin is always bright and smooth. I would not go anywhere else, and if you want the best service around. This is your one stop place for beauty needs.

The nicest salon I have ever experienced. Donovan did an excellent job with my hair. Thanks again.read more

I had my hair colored here a few weeks ago, and while the salon itself was nice and the appointment…read morewas pleasant, I left extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding pricing. The biggest issue was being charged $120 for toner, three separate toner charges at $40 each. At no point before or during my appointment was I told that three different toners would be used, that toner would be charged separately, or that an additional $120 would be added to my bill. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I didn't learn about the three different toner formulas being used until after the service was finished. When my stylist was discussing retail products and attempting to sell me additional items for home use, I declined. It was during that conversation, while preparing my receipt, that she informed me she had used three different toners to achieve the final result. The decision to use three different toner formulas was never discussed with me beforehand. My stylist may have felt they were necessary to achieve the desired color, but that was a creative choice made during the service. If those choices are going to increase the cost of an appointment by more than $100, clients should be informed before the products are applied--not after the service is complete and payment is due. I have medium-length, very fine hair and have had my hair professionally colored for years. I've never had a stylist add three separate toner charges without discussing them first. Whether one toner or three toners were actually used is less important than the fact that the charges were never disclosed. Based on the salon's advertised pricing, I expected my appointment to be under $200. Instead, my total came to around $300. Learning about an extra $120 charge only after declining additional retail products made the whole situation feel like a cash grab and left me feeling blindsided. Had the costs been explained upfront, I could have made an informed decision about how I wanted to proceed. The service itself was fine, the color for the most part, resembled the inspiration, but transparency matters. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I do expect to be told when a stylist's decisions will add significant charges to my bill. Unfortunately, the lack of communication overshadowed what could have been a pretty pleasant experience.
