In fact, I tried to upsell him and asked about a cleaning since this piano had been sitting for a few decades. He said it was in excellent condition, and his mantra was "If it's not broke, don't fix it," which I really appreciated. He also explained every step of the process, and used a tool that allowed me to watch him as he tuned it. I could see how when he first came it was really out of pitch and tune on the app, and then when he did the full tuning I could watch the symbol on the app go into the tuned position. The website still shows his price as $180, but when he arrived he said that was a summer special and I'd need to pay 200. He said he'd "honor the deal," so he upsold me by 300 and 'gave me 20 off.' Also, telling someone you're going to be at their house around 12-1 means that you will be there working between 12 and one, not that you will show up between noon and one. If you're trying to communicate that you will arrive between 12-1, you say , "I'll arrive between noon and one. Is that window of time convenient?" I realized what he might have meant when I saw that he was parked outside of my home for twenty minutes before finally coming to my door at least 10 minutes after 1 PM. Either way, he was late and did not apologize. He got right to trying to get more money out of me. He spent a good portion of his time in my home on his phone, which is most likely why my piano is drastically out of tune. I noticed at least 3 phonecalls, and many stretches of silence where he was not working on my piano. My piano sounds worse than before. It is very out of tune. I have asked for at least a partial refund but haven't received any response. Have a listen for yourself. That's some hot garbage that cost $480.
