We originally contracted for only the main level of the house but because things looked like they were going well, we added on the stairs and railings. This was a huge mistake because the job became super rushed. I was shocked at how sloppy my beautiful stairs had become. In his defense, Matt came back many times to try and make things right. When still not right, he paid for a painter to come and clean up. Unfortunately there was no way to correct the mess I'd been left with. It has taken me two years to write a review but as the soft grey is already starting to yellow, it's time to come to terms with all of the many things gone wrong and write a review. 1.Our tile fireplace hearth is ruined by stain and poly. The edges of the white tiles are yellow and gross. 2.You can see the yellow of the finish where they didn't sand properly. 3.Shake boards are visible where contract says bad board would be replaced. 4.Edger marks and drum marks are visible. 5. Not enough finish was applied. It's dry and rough as of dust or debris is caught under. 6 Stain is uneven on staircase and under treads. 7 handrails are rough to the touch and unevenly stained. 8 Shoe molding was not removed and replaced per contract. 9 We later noticed our refrigerator was dented by the large sander. For a time, I felt like because I chose to go with the most affordable company, I had to deal with "getting what I paid for" but this is an investment gone totally wrong. And now as the color has noticeably started to turn, I wish I had my not only my money but my perfectly finished yellow oak floors back.

A group of teenage employees laughing and horse playing when customer accompanied by a person in a wheel chair entered the store and asked the group of teenagers for help - one simply pointed in a direction. Nice new store in a great area, but management has failed to provide the most important aspect of a new business Customer Service.

Found a sample I loved. It was branded Xulon Flooring - Maribor. Never heard of them so I did extensive research to determine where product was manufactured. Told by competitor that Xulon does not actually manufacture floors, it is made elsewhere and rebranded by Expressive and their sister store Woodwudy in Fayetteville. When we obtained the floors, confirmed it was actually made by HomeLife Flooring in Adairsville GA, so that made me feel good. Love that we are supporting GA businesses. I understand that this may be a standard business practice, and not necessarily devious, I felt like they were evasive with information and provided some misleading information when I directly asked. I am a little skeptical, and was nervous about using them based on the Yelp/Google reviews, however I loved the product so I decided to take a leap of faith. Was told it would take a full week for installation, and would require rental of expensive machinery to remove tile. In reality, crew consisted of 3 men. No expensive machines. They were awesome. Took 2 full days to remove tile, build up subfloor, lay LVP and trim. Just over 800 square feet. Overall, pleased with the end result. Would have preferred more transparency in information from salespeople. Price was competitive, end product is beautiful, started when promised, completed 3 days earlier than promised.

Sharissa really spent time working with me trying different looks. She also had good ideas. The accent I chose is very different to most I had seen in the Auburn area. It is important to make an appointment, by doing so, you will have the amount of time you need to work with Sharissa and experiment with a variety of looks. I would not recommend this business. Jernigan Tile was contracted for tile installation on a major…read moreremodeling project on my new home. Within 3 months of the installation, a section of grout on the shower floor of the master bath turned black. Jernigan was notified and were provided multiple opportunities to correct the problem; they gave several "explanations" for the black grout and tried several methods to resolve the issue (none of which were effective). In the end, Jernigan refused to perform the work to repair the problem and "make it right". As a result, a custom tile installer was hired to remove the shower floor and reinstall the tile. When he removed the tile, he found multiple examples of poor workmanship by Jernigan. This included (but was not limited to) a lack of adhesive on the back of the wall tiles, which allowed water to seep behind the tile, causing severe water damage. Most concerning, improper installation by Jernigan prevented water from the shower to drain correctly, resulting in black mold. My experience with Jernigan Tile was beyond disappointing. Their poor workmanship and improper installation (resulting in water damage and black mold) was completely unacceptable. Their lack of determination to find the root cause of the problem to be completely unprofessional; Jernigan Tile demonstrated a complete lack of initiative in resolving this problem. Based on these reasons, it goes without saying that I would not recommend this business.

A frustrating and, at times, genuinely unsafe experience…read more What initially felt like a company we could trust turned into a project we wish we had never hired them for. If you value your time, money, home, and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The work on our floors and dry wall required multiple return visits. After the second flooring visit, we told them the floor was still uneven and that the vinyl continued to pop up. On the third visit, a team member stepped on the area that was popping up and said, "There's nothing wrong!" After we insisted they open the floor, we discovered that cardboard packaging from the vinyl floor boards had been used underneath the floor to address the leveling issue... When we finally thought the flooring was finished, another problem surfaced. The trim at the top of our staircase that had been installed only about two weeks earlier came loose, and I fell down the stairs as a result. We then discovered that our replacement dry wall was visibly uneven and not flush with the existing wall. Even after their team came back to work on it, the transition was still not flush, if not worse! Regardless of whether subcontractors were involved, we hired Into The Woods to ensure the work was completed properly and ultimately hold them responsible. On top of having to repeatedly identify problems that should have been caught through proper supervision and quality control, the most frustrating part has been communicating with Into the Woods direct team members, especially their owner, Shamus. We constantly felt like our concerns were minimized and dismissed. Even if the work had been perfect, the interactions with the company throughout this entire process made us wish we never signed anything with them.

Josh came by and gave us a competitive quote for the flooring, taking time to answer any questions. We had other quotes, some cheaper, but none of them matched the customer service of Cleveland Carpets. We waited 8 weeks for the install because we wanted to have Jim do ours floors, and he was booked out. We used Jim before to install floors upstairs, so we knew his work was top notch. Jim is a one man crew, who moved every piece of furniture himself, and put everything back in the exact same place. A few weeks later we had a door installed downstairs, and the contractor had to take up some of the carpet, which left a puffy area by the newly installed door. We called Cleveland, and Josh sent out a tech to reinstalled that area correctly. We asked how much and they said it's no charge. Who does that nowadays. If you need flooring done and want it done perfectly, call this company, you won't be disappointed. Thanks to Cleveland Carpets and their entire staff.

I read through some of the negative comments on Google as well as here, and feel as if there is a…read morepattern. I too contacted Valen Concrete Coatings about the bubble that was visible from the work done on my garage floor. The Valen employee came out and said he would actually have to sand it down completely and lay a new coat down, but I will not be able to tell the difference. However, when I checked on the work the Valen employee stated he was going to try something different. After seeing his finished work the Valen employee agreed it would be best to have the area sanded down and a new coat applied to the area that will not include the entire floor. The Valen employee also stated the work he performed will need to dry, and I would need to call Valen Concrete Coating to have an employee come back out. That never happened. I never get my calls returned from Valen. I have no appointment scheduled with Valen. This is their work (eerily similar to previous complaints). I blame myself for this. Luckily my wife is an attorney, and what may be posted as not covered under warranty is not true in this case and a couple of posted complaints I have read. Valen Concrete Coating seem to know which complaints to ignore and which complaints they can apply the not covered under warranty rule to. My post should serve as a consumer alert. I will update this review and those on any other platform after the legal process and the outcome, which does take a while. In the meantime ask Valen Concrete Coating to address some of the complaints (pick one or two). Inform the Valen Concrete Coating you want to know how they would respond if the same happened to you. Note: Record all conversations. I did! Every single one!
