I read through some of the negative comments on Google as well as here, and feel as if there is a pattern. I too contacted Valen Concrete Coatings about the bubble that was visible from the work done on my garage floor. The Valen employee came out and said he would actually have to sand it down completely and lay a new coat down, but I will not be able to tell the difference. However, when I checked on the work the Valen employee stated he was going to try something different. After seeing his finished work the Valen employee agreed it would be best to have the area sanded down and a new coat applied to the area that will not include the entire floor. The Valen employee also stated the work he performed will need to dry, and I would need to call Valen Concrete Coating to have an employee come back out. That never happened. I never get my calls returned from Valen. I have no appointment scheduled with Valen. This is their work (eerily similar to previous complaints). I blame myself for this. Luckily my wife is an attorney, and what may be posted as not covered under warranty is not true in this case and a couple of posted complaints I have read. Valen Concrete Coating seem to know which complaints to ignore and which complaints they can apply the not covered under warranty rule to. My post should serve as a consumer alert. I will update this review and those on any other platform after the legal process and the outcome, which does take a while. In the meantime ask Valen Concrete Coating to address some of the complaints (pick one or two). Inform the Valen Concrete Coating you want to know how they would respond if the same happened to you. Overall disappointed in their professionalism, preparedness, and application of the product. Still not happy with the product after 6 call backs for corrections. The first person you will meet after giving them a call is the sales man/estimator. He will provide you with an estimate and, if you accept, he will take a 50% deposit and tell you a scheduler will call you. Then the schedule may or may not call you to make an appointment...you may have to call him. Once you get your install appointment date, they will send a completely different set of people to install the floor that may or may not know anything about the specifics of the job. The crew that came out to do my floor install reported that they hadn't received the details about the job or the square footage which left them unprepared on the first day with an inadequate amount of material. (Keep in mind they had me scheduled 3 weeks in advance and I had called a week in advance of my project to make sure they were prepared for my job). Since they arrived near 11am on the first day (ill prepared) I voiced my concerns about laying the floor when rain was in the forecast. The second day my husband also gave them the option to stop and complete the job a different day. The response I received was 'if it gets ruined in the rain we can just redo it.' Guess what? ...it had areas that the rain ruined and overall a poor application of the product. Several areas had no flakes and other areas had no sealer on the flakes leaving them loose and easy to just pick up. I am not sure they were considering the time and energy the project was taking away from my business operations to have to take additional time for repairs when it could have been applied correctly the first time. I decided to just pay the balance and hoped they would be a stand up company to make good on their efforts to make the corrections. Once the balance was paid they became less responsive only coming out once and only fixing a couple problems. There is still a spot with out the clear coat and areas with piles of flakes that make it so rough I could cut my foot if barefoot. I recently gave them an opportunity to come out to make the corrections and I never heard back from the company about the final repair date. I should of held payment until it was all fixed but truly they wore me down and I was getting exhausted. I actually hired them to do two jobs and both needed repairs. Disappointed because a few years ago they used to be a good company. read more

Their customer service is extremely unprofessional, specifically Teresa. She was awful to talk to and was plain rude. With her being the first person you talk to from this company it really refrains a person wanting to do business with them. She needs better training or just to be taken to a different department where she won't have the opportunity to talk to customers. read more
