After doing research on the best facilities across Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette and Erie, I decided on Little Sunshine's and am SO GLAD that I did. Miss Gini (Asst Director) made the process from enrollment to first day attendance feel comfortable and simple, easing my worries tremendously. Miss Lori and Miss Brooke (along with the help of Miss Adrienne) in the Infant 2 room have been the BIGGEST blessings! My little girl loved them from the first week she started. Making it so much easier for me to drop her each day and go to work knowing she is in good hands and loves her teachers. They are always engaging and have done everything they can to help ease my mind and keep my little girl happy. They are flexible and communicative and very sweet with all of the kids. Cannot say enough positive things about this dream team! Also, their proprietary phone app, LuvNotes is AWESOME! The teachers post pictures and notes of my daughters activities throughout the day, when she eats, naps and has a diaper change, which definitely helps mamas like me get peace of mind and reduce the mom guilt. After that, we received no communication for 14 months. When we finally reached out, Little Sunshine reneged on their promise of part-time care and had no opening available as originally assured. When we asked for a refund (given that we paid the fee based on inaccurate information) we were told the fee is non-refundable, even though staff acknowledged that multiple families have expressed similar frustrations about misleading waitlist practices. We were promised a follow-up from a higher-up, but no one ever called. In our view, the $350 waitlist fee was paid under deceptive and misleading circumstances, and the lack of communication and accountability has been very disappointing.

My 14-month-old daughter used to attend Goddard School Erie at Vista Ridge. She was often crying at…read morepick up and shaking her head 'no' and crying at drop off with the teacher. This was very uncharacteristic of her. One Monday, at pick up my daughter was the only child left and I found her in a corner by herself crying. I was unable to settle her or get her to stop crying until after we got home that night. The teacher told me that my daughter was isolated like that after the other children had been picked up to work on 'regulating her emotions' (at just over a year old?). On Wednesday that week, when I picked her up, she was hysterical (again, this is very unlike her at home or in previous daycare). There was another child still in the class and a second teacher present this time. When I went to lift her up, the teacher told me that my daughter's hair was wet because "she needed to be spritzed a couple of times to help her regulate her emotions when she would not stop crying." I then noticed that her hair was soaked. I looked at the teacher in shock and she pointed at the wall where several spray bottles were hanging up and she stated that "some kids actually like being sprayed." I left immediately to gather myself and calm my child. I then emailed the director and requested an immediate meeting. We requested that a letter be sent to families of other children that could have also been treated this way by their teacher. Since a letter has yet to come out, and may never, I feel responsible to share our story with others. This is especially important since children in these classrooms aren't yet able to communicate these things with us. Ultimately, we lost trust in the school. Felt like there is a big miss here in terms of teacher education and general oversight in the classrooms. We pulled our daughter out. She has since joined a new daycare and is thriving. I am hopeful that the state licensing agency can help the school to reach the standard of other Goddard schools that we have previously known and loved.

I found a nanny on Care. com who seemed perfect....( I had two weeks to get my shit in order before my start date) any way, fast forward 2 months and I am tolerating her since the kids love thier nanny and she seems okay. Then.... Stuff hits the fan.. . She gets super awkward, leaves my two year old alone in the cul-de-sac etc, and I end up letting her go (to put it gently). This was last Wednesday/Thursday. I reached out to my network of moms and baby sitters but no bueno ... But I have a full-time job I love. I called Jennifer at Superior Nannies as a last resort. She answered her phone at 8 pm on a work day evening. I signed her straight forward contract on her website. She had temp nanny options for me in less than 24 hours. They love their teachers. They love to make friends. They grew up with some good friends from infant classrooms to Pre-K or Kindergarten and they still have play dates and miss each other outside of the school. They love circles times and small groups everyone. They have learnt so much in school and often amazed us! Primrose has been an important part of our life in the last few years. We trust this school so much because we know our little ones would have great time there everyday. And if they have any issues, there are someone caring in school who is going to take care of them and to discuss issues with us.
