Ms. Kayla has been particularly amazing. She has been with our daughter in the explorer classroom since we started and has been a true partner to us in our child's development. If we ever are having a challenge at home, we know we can bring it to the teachers at GHM and they'll help reinforce our parenting efforts in the classroom as well. The administrative team is hands on (yay for Jesse, Alyscia, and Jessica!) and so welcoming and kind. I regularly see them in classroom and getting g involved with the kids and as teacher support. Love to see it. 2) GHM strives to foster community amongst parents and families at the school. There are dad's nights, mom's nights, family barbecues and more! I have had the chance to get to know most of the parents of the kids in my daughter's classroom, which is awesome. 3) Parent teacher conferences are regularly scheduled and the staff comes prepared with detailed notes on your child's development and milestones. You can really have a collaborative discussion about your child and their needs! It felt really lovely to hear their perspective because they were so detailed and thoughtful in their assessment. 4) Look, all schools are dealing with staffing shortages, but we have had far less of an issue with this at GHM than we did at our last school. Our daughters teachers have been very consistent and in the event of staff turnover, Jesse, Alyscia and Jessica will do everything in their power to keep the school open - we've never had a school closure due to short staffing -- at our last school this was a regular occurrence. 5) We love that the school takes care of breakfast, lunch and snacks for the kids! Balanced meals, and such a relief to not have to do this at home every night. Helps free up the time we have at home with our daughter for play and connection! The neglect of my son not being given water or having sun block put on him by the director of the center while she was in preschool filling in for the lack of consistent teachers and chaos in preschool as is.. Coming home with his underwear having serious skid marks from the teachers not caring for his proper hygene, to his paints and underwear being backwards and shoes on the wrong feet. When I tried to tell the teacher she raised her voice to talk over me and interrupt me to tell me " Well he did that" before I was able to voice my other concerns, veing please wipe his butt better next time and clothes on properly. I thought teachers are supposed to teach the kids how to do things the right way and stand for GHM own "Morals and standards" what a joke. He hires woman is mini shirts and people who have no experience becaude he is desperate for the fill in. No wonder with the way he treats and represents people internally. It looks sparkly on the outside until you get your child in and your family in then you realize it is nothing but terrible communication, an owner out for money and a director who doesnt support her teachers or get out of her chair. Then I got a phone call, not the decency of a face to face conversation by the owner Jesse being told I screamed in the classroom, an over reaction, he nor his teachers cared to listen to my concerns. This is just one exampke of many. There is a new teacher there every week and they don't last for for then a couple weeks if that. I have called state and jeffco for child neglect a few weeks ago and will do so again. The countless teachers that come through this center is unreal. Eight teachers I counted in April and the list goes on. Your child will not have consistent teachers or care. Preschool is out of control as I have had a sub teacher tell me how the director thinks that yelling and screaming gets 3 years to listen and they feel inadiquite and uncomfortable there because they feel it a lost cause. If you want true care for your child and genuine "Vetran Buisness owners" who care about the true well being, BEWARE. Take your money elsewhere as you will be highly disappointed. We attended before my son's autism diagnosis, and he was treated with a shocking lack of empathy. The owner actually called me to claim my son had a 'medical tic'--which was actually just a self-soothing raspberry-blowing behavior he only did when he was extremely stressed by their environment. I witnessed systemic neglect: children who spoke English as a second language were left to sit alone without interaction, and toddlers were left to sob inconsolably after drop-off with no comfort from staff. I actually had to step in and hug a crying child myself because the teachers wouldn't. Most concerning was the lack of respect for parental boundaries and age-appropriate care. When my 3-year-old was nervous about potty training, I requested he wear a pull-up for one day to build his confidence. Instead, the staff spent 30 minutes of his school day forcing him back into underwear against my explicit instructions. Unless your child is neurotypical and requires no emotional support, stay away. This is not a safe or inclusive environment.

Rooms were not staffed with enough teachers. New staff didn't know my kiddo or introduce themselves to me. I felt I was leaving her with strangers. I'm relieved we left when we did--I've since heard concerning stories. For reference our daughter is 3. I hope they can turn this ship around because I know we all desperately need safe, quality childcare.

They frequently allow children to paint with non-washable paints (4 shirts and 1 pair of pants have been ruined), children are allowed to cut other students' shirts with scissors (1 shirt has been ruined), and they lose my child's belongings all the time (2 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, a pair of mittens, and 1 brand-new book that they requested we bring). When asked about the missing or ruined items, the teacher refuses to take responsibility for what goes on in her classroom, and the director doesn't hold the teacher accountable. Each and every newsletter they send out is filled with spelling and grammatical errors. They insist that the newsletter be in an attachment to the email, but they forget to attach it about 75% of the time, meaning your inbox will frequently be cluttered with several emails a day from this Montessori. You are required to bring snacks for 20 children at least once a month, as they are unwilling to provide them. The snacks they request are frequently out-of-season and very expensive berries and fresh-cut flowers. If your child attends for a full day, you are responsible for providing his or her lunch, or spending $4.00/day to have the meal catered. Again, this facility refuses to provide food for your child.

Then when I meet my kids father he tells me the new director Jasmine told him my kids can not come back because of them crying. I have been there for a long time now and ever since Genesis the old director left, there has been nothing but problems. Over the last month I have been told that my kids couldn't be there due to not having their inhalers that were not expired. Ok, fine. Took me a week to get them. So thats a week they weren't in their care. Then I get them and give them to the school the exact way I received them, only to be called and told to come get my kids due to the boxes not having the labels on them. Ok, called the pharmacy and had to have them printed so the kids could go back to school. Another day out. Then they are there for a week and this is what happens today. Aren't you the ones who should k ow how to calm a tantrum? Don't you're employees go to school and get training on how to handle a tantrum? Then, when I speak to the new director she tells me, " oh I know, I'd be mad too if I was being told this as a parent." Then when asked if they tell all the parents there that they're kids can't be there if they're crying, Jasmine states we are not able to handle it." I am beyond mad and will admit that I did fly off the handle a bit. This place has gone to crap. ​

We love La Petite Academy of Westminster. My 3-year-old son has been going there since he was six…read moremonths old. The teachers are patient and kind with him. They know he loves to be active and move around, so the try to tailor lessons to fit his interests. If it involves dinosaurs, they know he will participate :) I feel good leaving him there every morning. He has friends and knows all of his teachers' names. He also enjoys their cooking, which is a plus. I like that the facility has live cameras so I can check in on him throughout the day. His teachers are also good about posting updates in the app, including photos of his activities, how much he ate at lunch, how many times he went the bathroom, etc. Overall, I can't recommend La Petite enough!
