Soooooo, there's been some changes behind the desk that make all the difference. Bless the woman's heart who works here now but the staff in shake up wasn't for the best. I've frequented this urgent care for years and the front desk was efficient, swift and courteous. These older women running the front of the house are slow, lack proper knowledge of technology and aren't the least bit discreet. I left after it took more than 30minutes to type in information. The nurse (I forgot her name, I'm sorry) had great bedside manner, was thorough with her assessment/questions, and took her time to listen to me. Dr Jacobson was also excellent- great bedside manner again, also took his time to get to know how I was feeling, and checked up on me multiple times as I was waiting for my test results. I arrived at this urgent care as the first patient of the day and waited 45 minutes without anyone being called back. By the time I left, six other patients were waiting as well. Only after I asked did the staff tell me that no provider was on site and they were still waiting for the doctor to arrive. Patients should be informed of this situation up front rather than sitting indefinitely. I asked for my copay to be refunded, which they agreed to, but the lack of transparency was very frustrating. read more

Came here not feeling well and arrived at 8:22pm. Hours stated they closed at 9pm. Staff, a tall middle aged man, locked the door as I walked up and shooed me away and turned quickly back inside and disappeared. So disappointing as I had to drive nearly 30 minutes and all other urgent cares nearby were closed. I can see retail stores closing early with low traffic, but a medical establishment??? Good evening, Last Wednesday evening, my wife had a medical episode and I took her to the Andorra urgent care. We live off of Shurs lane and our urgent care closes at 8pm. We arrived at about 8:45pm and the doors were locked. The person at the desk shook their head "no" at us when I knocked on the door. I was confused because we looked up the hours before we left and I also saw the posted hours indicated that the practice closes at 9pm. I called so I could speak to someone about why we were being denied entrance. The person at the desk said that they see their last patient at 8:35-8:40pm and that we shouldn't wait until close to closing to come down. I found this really upsetting as we didn't plan the timing of my wife's medical issue. Also, we were following the posted hours. We didn't intentionally wait until the last minute, like what was implied. I am sharing this information so you could please adjust your posted hours so it includes when you admit your last patients for the day. Also, your staff could benefit from trauma-informed training. We wound up spending five hours at Roxborough ER which is closer to our apartment than the Andorra urgent care. read more

I've never gotten so much conflict with a doctors Office before. The first time I went there I was sitting there to get a physical and a TV shot literally in a doctors office not the waiting room the office for 60 minutes. I have a picture of that I went back on Monday was my third day to get my test results on my TB, the clinic was supposed to fix it over to my New Job so I could get hired on my exact date. I went up to the clinic later on that day to see if I can get a copy of my results. The young lady told me that I will have to wait to the doctor sign off and he should do that by the end of the day and by the morning, my paperwork should be faxed off to next day, my employer is telling me they haven't received the information yet and this is the only document they are waiting for I called the office and the young lady at the front desk tells me that the paperwork was still on the doctors desk and that they were going to get on it immediately. I called the next day all day and don't get an answer tomorrow I will be going up there to see if I'm able to receive my document so I'll be able to start my new job. Not only am I going to miss the opportunity to start my new job, but I'm having a hassle at this office and I don't understand why this is the worst experience I've ever been through. read more

The wait was pretty long (I was there for 2 1/2 hours) but there were a lot of people there this morning. Came on a Friday at 4:30PM. Normal business hours stated they would be open until 9:00PM. Nothing on the website that would contradict this. Went to walk in and the urgent care was closed, doors were locked. There was even a note from a courier on the door stating they missed a package delivery. Won't be coming back. read more

This place never failed.. today was my 2nd time here..1st time was with my mom last 2018 to take her stitches off, not a long wait, staff are gentle, caring & accommodating. Today I came for myself having sore throat & infection; the wait was not long, place was neat, not crowded & i had my child wd me, she was comfortable in waiting room theres table for lil kids. I also noticed a chair for bariatric pts. At exam room while I am being checked, nurse was very pleasant & smiling most of the time & took time to greet the lil one..Doctor was very caring..came 2x to make sure that i'm ok while waiting for my lab results & he took time & made 2 balloons for my little girl. He was considerate enough to let me go fast after knowing that we were trying to catch up another appt. for my child. Godbless this place & staff for all you do! read more

Where shall I start? Do NOT come to this place if you have a significant injury. A friend drove me there on Saturday, January 14th after I thought had only twisted my left ankle. The wrong X-rays were taken and I was given a boot that was way too expensive and defective. I was told I had an ankle sprain. When on Monday, I called to ask to boot a BUY replacement, I was told that it wasn't possible. I had to come in person and RETURN MY BOOT to switch to a new one. Sadly, I was home bound as I live on the 4th floor of my building. I was in unbearacle pain on Monday 16th of January, I scheduled an appointment at the Bryn Mawr Rothman Institute- I was told the wrong XRays had been taken and I had to psy for new ones ( in which I was standing) I was then told I have a VERY SEVERE ANKLE SPRAN. I was told to stay in a boot for a full month and only remove it at night and to take a shower. Flashback to today: I had a DPV as my RI suspected a massive blood clot in my left calf and I just got an MRI at Bryn Mawr Hospital. In the meantime, Roxbororough Express Care has the audacity to send me two invoices for 160 dollars for that joke of a visit and 100 dollars for totally useless XRays. Avoid at all cost. Go to the BRYN MAWR hospital. Also avoid Roxborough Hosital! I am pretty sure I contracted COVID there. read more

Dr. Jacobson took his time explaining things to me and I never felt as though he was in a hurry to get through the visit or too busy to listen. He seemed to be an extremely kind doctor. read more

This is by far hands down the best urgent care I have ever been too. I have had so many bad experiences with urgent care that I don't go unless absolutely necessary. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to this urgent care based on the positive reviews. Thanks to all you Yelpers, I have found my new urgent care spot! Wait time was not bad at all. I think I waited about 15 minutes before the nurse took me back. That's better than some doctor's offices that you have appointments at! The staff is very professional and through. Dr. Smith is amazing. She listened to all my concerns and asked questions. I had been feeling sick for almost a straight month and couldn't get in to see my new GP for another few weeks. I couldn't wait that long. They ran the tests that were needed. They also were kind and listened when I told them I was a hard stick. The nurse (I believe her name was Lisa) was so kind and distracted me so I didn't freak out or pass out. They got my blood the first time which has NEVER happened anywhere else. Again, they really listen here, which really means something. I got my test results back in less than 24 hours, which was impressive. Then a week later Dr. Smith called again to follow up and let me know something else they found in a later test and to check on me. Again, so thorough! They also sent the results to my new GP, so we could discuss them further at my next appointment. I will not hesitate to come back here if I can't get in with my GP. I wish all Urgent Cares were this wonderful. read more

Got misdiagnosed here and was sent home with antibiotics that were not helping. Came back three days later because the treatment was clearly not working since I had a fever of 103, to find out that I had severe pneumonia that a different doctor actually diagnosed, after telling me I just had a virus and didn't need any antibiotics. Will not come back here again! read more

I have visited this Urgent Care facility probably 6 or 7 times in the past two years and I cannot say enough good things. I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. The nurses are always very kind and efficient. Dr. Smith is THE BEST, I wish she could be my regular PCP! My husband has also seen her a few times and had equally great experiences so anytime we are sick we both just head straight there because we know we'll be taken care of quickly and thoroughly. This place is incredibly slow and understaffed. One person working in the back. We had to wait almost 10 minutes before anyone checked us in. One person ahead of us and we've been here for 40 minutes already. We usually go to Minute Clinic but they are 'temporarily closed ', whatever that means. If people are coming here because Minute Clinic is closed they should be staffed accordingly. Not happy. read more

I was feeling awful during work, and not knowing the Plymouth Meeting area, I took to yelp and google to find this amazing express care. The reviews don't lie, I had horrible nausea and a heavy headache, I barely could make it to their office. Once I was in, I only waited ten minuets (it was the middle of the afternoon around 1 on a Thursday). The nurse was quick, calm and cool, got my information and relayed it to Charolette (the doctor on duty) who then came in only minutes after. Charolette quickly knew what I was experiencing, and understood my problems. She didn't want me driving home in my conditions, so she gave me multiple options, even letting me stay and rest under an IV until I felt better. After the treatment I felt MUCH better, good enough to drive by myself, they were genuinely happy that I was feeling better, gave me a free T-Shirt and prescribed some affordable medication just in case. I needed to get an X-ray on my elbow after slipping and falling down a flight of hardwood stairs in my home. Everyone working at this location was kind, professional, and got me in and out of there (with Xrays) in an extremely timely manner. Despite covid, there was only one other person in the waiting room, and I felt very safe. I have never had an especially great experience with any urgent care before, but I was happily surprised with my experience today. My 2 1/2 year old needed stitches, which is about as unfun as it sounds, and it went way better than I hoped for thanks to the amazing nurse Cindy. She was SO AWESOME with my son and the whole situation. Also, check-in was quick and the receptionist was very helpful and understanding. The wait wasn't bad either. Do not go here!!! I came in for a simple visit, paid my co-payment and saw a doctor. Nothing wrong with the doctors or nurses; however, a month after the visit I was sent incorrect, additional billing. I contacted them and initially they tried to make me pay AGAIN! After re-explaining and expressing my frustration, they assured me they will fix my account to show that all balances were paid. A few months later and now my credit score has down because nobody ever made these adjustments, and instead they sent this incorrect bill to collections. Awful experience, don't come here unless you don't mind paying other peoples bills, lowering your credit score and enduring a lot of headaches. They are very disorganized in their billing department and have really caused an issue in my personal finances. Two thumbs down. read more

This was my first visit to an urgent care facility. I had looked online, read the reviews and the ones nearest to me did not have a 5 star rating. I arrived at 11:30 and was discharged by 12:30. I had fell and injured my foot. The entire experience was great from the receptionist to the Nurse Practitioner to the radiologist to the Doctor. They were professional, concerned, timely, friendly and hospitable. They looked up my pharmacy for me, gave me a cd with my x-ray results, showed me the picture of my fracture, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this treatment center. Highly agree with all the reviewers. I came here because I always ALWAYS get sick over a holiday, or just when I've changed insurance providers, or when I'm out of country. It can never be when I'm at home on a normal Wednesday. This time it was the first 2 out of 3. My new insurance kicked in on January 1st, and the insurance offices were closed on Jan 2nd. Couldn't handle feeling sick for even one day longer so I found Express Care. The receptionist was super helpful and professional in helping me to sort through the tangle of my new vs outgoing insurance. The wait was relatively short and everyone unnecessarily thanked me for patiently waiting. The doctor was efficient with his time but a good listener, friendly, and gave me an effective diagnosis. And he rocked a clever bow tie. Which I didn't fully appreciate while I was there because I was sick and miserable, but clearly remember now, 10 hours later, as the meds that he prescribed already have me on the mend. read more

I visited Express Care to receive care for a tick bite. The care was prompt, efficient and friendly. The facility is immaculate and as a former ER nurse I know that care is so much more time consuming ( and expensive) at a hospital ER unless it's a true medical emergency.
