We inherited Elite Health Solutions when the agency we were using was bought out by Elite so we…read morethought we would try them. We have been using them for a few years now. They started out pretty good but seem to get less reliable as time goes on. We have a family member that requires 24/7 care if she is to remain in her home. We have a staff of caregivers, but we need to use an agency when one of our staff members needs off and during the holidays. Even tho when we need to book with Elite we give them ample notice ( usually 4-6 weeks before the fall/ winter holidays), their staff consistently runs late. Even tho we are always assured that the caregiver they send will arrive early so they can be quickly trained, they are just about always late. Most of our staff have other jobs that they need to get to and can't wait for the Elite employee to evidentially show up. Last Thanksgiving the sitter that was assigned to us for the Friday after didn't even show. After a few hours, they finally found a replacement. The sitter assigned to us for Christmas last year was late as well which made us nervous since the Thanksgiving sitter was a "No Show". When you complain to the agency they are dismissive and always have an excuse. After last year, we had decided not to use them again, but with the Covid 19 pandemic , we didn't interview any new agencies. We decided to give them one more chance. Again, we booked the needed caregivers way in advance and even booked the Christmas sitters at the same time we booked the Thanksgiving sitters. I got a phone call from the agency at 7 AM ( the time the caregiver should have been arriving ) to be told the lady is running late and that it would be 30 minutes or so before she would be arriving for her shift. At least we got a phone call this time and she just wasn't a " No Show". This meant that the lady she was relieving was now going to be late for her second job and pushed our "in house" sitter into overtime. I could not believe that this happened AGAIN! When I received the bill from the agency they charged us for time their sitter wasn't even at the house. We paid the bill in full as the agency was hired to come for Christmas and we didn't want any issues. We did put a note on the invoice asking that we get the credit when they billed for Christmas. The Monday before Christmas, I receive a call from the agency that they were NOT sending us a sitter for Christmas. The representative from the agency did tell us tho that they were not charging for the Thanksgiving sitter since we were so unhappy. I had already sent the check, so I assumed that they would just tear up our check. Two days later, they cashed the check and we never got credited for the overpayment or the inconvenience. Because we were given such a late notice that they were not honoring their commitment to send someone for Christmas, we had no one. On top of all of this, they went up significantly on their prices. I would say that you get what you pay for, but in this case they went up on their prices and provided a dismal service to us. If a prompt and/or reliable sitter service is important to your loved one, I would do your research. This may not be everyone's experience with this agency, but it was ours. It is a terrible feeling to rely on help for your loved one and no one show up.
