Joe Landry had install the springs on my garage door a few years ago. The springs came a little loose over the years so the door was not working properly. I called him Friday afternoon 4/10 and he came first thing on Saturday morning 4/11 to tighten the springs. He did not charge me anything for service. I created an account, just to make this review. I called yesterday around 5:30 PM, to see about setting an appointment within the next week or so. My garage door was not opening properly and the gentleman asked me to give a brief description of my issue. When I was done, he told me to grab a flathead screwdriver, a ladder or stool and he walked me through adjusting my door motor on the spot. I was ready to pay for someone to come over and take care of this issue, because I know nothing about these things. Within 5 minutes of starting this call, my door was fixed. This is the best part: I asked if I could make some sort of online payment, to make sure that he was paid for helping me out. He said "Don't worry about it. I'm here to help when I can." He could have made an appointment, come out and messed around for an hour, to justify charging a good amount. Instead, he gave me an immediate resolution, with no expectation of payment. This experience was unlike anything I've experienced when dealing with any type of home repairs. I will now refer any garage door business that my friends and family might need, to this company. 5+ stars for Joe Landry! Called Joe at 6PM, and he rolled up to my house at 6:30!! Garage door cable came off and knocked the rollers off the rail. Joe had to reset the torsion assembly, reset the bottom brackets, and some other stuff. He took the time to explain everything and answer my stupid questions. Set up an appointment 4 days in advance and was told to expect service between 0900-1100. Was told they would call the day of the service to let me know what time they would come. At 1030, still nothing heard. Called to find out what was going on and got an answering machine. Decided to bring my business elsewhere (and for a cheaper price). The coil on my garage door broke Tuesday evening, so I called Express Garage Doors to come take a look at it. Mr. Landry came out the next morning to diagnose the problem. I also wanted to upgrade my current opener. He was very courteous, took his shoes off before entering my house. He said that his sons could come that same day at around 2pm to fix everything. A few minutes later, he called me back and said they could come EARLIER so I wouldn't have to take that much time off of work. His sons arrived at 1pm, and got right to work. It took them a couple of hours to replace the coil and install the new garage door opener. They set up the key pad and walked me through all the new technology that came with the new system.
