My husband and I stopped by Express Gyro in Lincoln for a late lunch. You order at the counter and they brought our food to us. I ordered the chicken plate, which came with chicken topped with tzatziki, rice, garlic hummus, and warm pita bread. My husband got the chicken loaded fries, and both meals were absolutely delicious -- and the portions are generous! The inside is clean and inviting, with plenty of seating options, plus a nice outdoor seating area if you want to enjoy your meal outside. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, and our food came out quickly. We'll definitely be coming back!

6/16/2023: I posted my Express Gyro receipt; I had no choice but, ordering an inhaling session of a beef and lamb combination plate, one order of two garlic Hummus, and one mango Lassi to-go due to the fact, I had to have my Toyota 4-Runner's brand new tires' realigned and re-balanced-AGAIN--AUGH. Welp~That's the main reason for being so far away from my humble abode; there wasn't a Firestone Auto Care appointment available in Sacramento: Therefore, I might as well inhale a beef and lamb combination plate, one order of two garlic Hummus, and one mango Lassi while waiting for my Toyota 4-Runner's tires brand new tires' realigned and re-balanced. It was rather amusing inhaling my exotic cuisine meal at Firestone's waiting room; customers were literally staring at me while I was in the midst of my inhaling session, i.e., devouring every morsel on the to-go box~lol . . . I WAS FAMISHED. Still, my only complaint was the food wasn't piping hot--just lukewarm. The to-go meal shouldn't have been lukewarm especially, when Express Gyro is literally one-quarter of a block AWAY from Firestone, i.e., the reason for deducting one-star from Express Gyro's review.

This is the best Mediterranean food that I have ever had. I highly recommend coming here to eat the staff is very friendly and welcoming and this place is extremely clean inside. Great place to come I wish I didn't live so far from here but I will definitely be back!!!!!!

Well as soon as I started to eat my gyro , I found some pubic hair attached to the meat. Greek fries are ok. The people are very friendly. Service is so good they give you surprises. As for Ambiance they need to play some bad bunny.

I had an itch for something different, she 9n a very warm summer day Greek food seemed like a mighty good choice. I ordered online for pickup and it was ever so easy. Just go to the restaurant web site and the menu with photos is there, and simple to navigate. The order consisted of two meat plates of beef and lamb, with a choice of sides. I opted for the spicy cilantro hummus. The plate comes with a small salad, rice, and half a pita bread. To compliment the order I also got the Greek salad, an order of Greek fries and two orders of falafel (4 per orde). Everything was ready and packaged well for travel when I arrived... OK, an insignificant short wait, but the owners are very nice and personable, and appreciate the business. Overall, the portions are quite generous and the food is very good, hearty and tasty. The fries were very good the meat fresh and delicious, rice was fluffy and salad fresh as well. It isn't high end Greek cuisine, but quite satisfying simple Greek dishes, taverna style. I will gladly return and try more.

Ordered a beef and lamb gyro from this place. It was slightly overpriced being $12. Regardless, i got it pretty quickly. There was a lot more meat than i expected, which was fantastic, no complaints. What i didn't quite like was that everything was smothered in sauce. It was tooo much sauce. But it tasted ok.

I've been so excited to try this place since they opened and boy they didnt disappoint today! The place was super clean, and a family friendly environment. I order 2 chicken gyros and the spicy cilantro hummus appetizer. Not only was the portion of hummus more then expected, the taste was out of this world. Hummus will never taste the same again! The gyros were absolutely devoured by the family. Instant family favorite!!! read more

It's all pretty good - and we are glad to have Greek food in Lincoln. I'm a fan of the wraps and the Spicy Cilantro Hummus. My major gripe : people enjoy sauces , and Express Gyro is not what you would call generous with regard to how much they include with any given order. Something to work on : don't be afraid to include a nice amount of the Tzatziki! Update: Had a nice conversation with the owner the other day and purchased a small amount of their spicy cilantro sauce (1.99) it wasn't a bargain, but he was correct when describing it's excellence. Clear to see why it's a recipe that's been in thier family for well over a century. The main thing that keeps me coming back here is the freshness of the menu - it's a place you can frequent daily and not feel like you're over-indulging in junk or richer food normally fit for occasional dining. Perfect for lunch. The service is great , they're a friendly bunch and it's clear the owner cares a lot and is proof of his establishment and his food - one last note: he made sure to let a DoorDash delivery person know he should try not to swing the food or tip it in order to preserve the presentation of the contents inside - that's a business-owner who takes price and satisfaction in his service. So excited they are open! Very friendly staff. We tried the spicy beef/lamb gyro, Greek spicy fries and a side of falafel. Everything was great, the spicy fries were amazing. The meat was not too lamby which, I appreciated. I wish the meat was more flavorful, little bland. The tiziki, red onion, tomato and lettuce hit the spot on the gyro. The most delicious wrap I have ever had. I recommend the beef and lamb wrap just a little bit spicy, and yes! You order it just like that! This is my absolute favorite treat. I could eat here every day. The hubs was hesitant at first. He doesn't like new foods. He's very picky. But I finally got him to try it and he absolutely loves the Greek fries and the chicken wrap. This place has everything for anyone. You will NOT be disappointed. I can't say enough about Express Gyro!!! read more

So here's an update. This is about our 8th time coming here and it has been very consistent. I grew up working in a Greek restaurant. If anyone is familiar with Zorba's in San Jose. When it comes to Greek food their chicken plate was more than subpar. The garlic hummus looked like pumpkin purée and was tasteless. The chicken itself was dry, the Greek salad was cabbage with tomatoes and tasteless. I'm sorry to the business for the review but all around it just wasn't good. read more

We stopped in for a casual lunch for the first time After wedding dress shopping in the area. This place is in a little strip mall with plenty of parking. It is tucked in the back but they do have a sign to help you find it. The gentleman working at the counter was very nice. 6 of us ordered our food at the cash register then had a seat. They brought our food to us and everyone was happy. We had gyros, wraps, salads and their special Greek fries. If I were near this restaurant at mealtime again I would definitely go back. read more

After the gym next door I wanted to try out a Gyro, I walked in and was greeted by a young man at the counter Very pleasant. Made my order and took it Togo. Wow it tasted amazing I got the 3 meat taste was spot on. I liked it so much I wanted to see if another one the next day was just as good and pleasantly surprised it was perfect. The vegan oxtail, which they make in-house, is my absolute favorite. The plate comes with rice and peas, salad, and plantains. If they have vegan Jamaican Patties available I always get some of those as well (pro tip: they reheat well). Sadly, those veggie-stuffed pastries are frequently sold out, so if you see them get them! When cold weather comes around, I'm all about the Ital soup. It's so simple and flavorful. If I feel a cold coming on this soup is one of my favorite remedies. It's also worth noting that the vegan options have really expanded over the years, and made from scratch, which I definitely appreciate. Dubplate is in my regular rotation for a reason. I started with the chicken sandwich and it was fantastic: a fried chicken breast nestled between brioche buns with pickles and just the right amount of sauce. Very good if that's your thing (and it's definitely mine). Dipped it in the habanero ranch... aces. The next day I heated up the parmigiana "burrito" following the reheating instructions printed on the bag (which I loved, by the way). One suggestion if you're doing the same: cut it in half first. Like Hot Pockets back in the day, cutting it would help with heat distribution, otherwise it heats unevenly. Lots of meat in this dish, and the breading on the outside was totally delicious. The salad was good too, although I might try a different side next time.

Whenever I'm near either location I make a point to stop by to enjoy a meal or pick up take out to enjoy at home. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

The broth here is rich, bold, and packed with flavor...some might find it intense, but for me it's a total chef's kiss. You can choose thick or thin noodles, and I always go for the thick ones because I love that extra bounce. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen because garlic is one of my love languages. My husband went for the Spicy Tonkotsu and was sweating bullets by the end of the meal, but he still cleaned his bowl! The chashu pork was a little dry on this visit, but the broth, noodles, and all the toppings still made for a delicious and satisfying meal. Bonus: They're currently offering FREE gyoza with every ramen order! If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful bowl of ramen, check them out. Just don't question my decision to eat hot soup during a heat wave.

It's in a busy plaza, but there's plenty of parking available. Inside is decorated nicely and has plenty of seating, and I was greeted right away. I ordered take out at the counter and while I was there they were offering lunch portions in addition to their regular portions. I ended up ordering Thai Tea, Tom Kha Soup, Green Curry (lunch portion) and Pad Eggplant (full order) along with rice to go with the Pad Eggplant. The lunch portions are a bit smaller, but come with rice, while the regular portions are larger and a bit more expensive and rice is extra. I took a seat and waited for my order. They brought my Thai tea out right away and I sipped on it while I waited. The tea was tasty and had good flavor without being overly sweet. As I waited there were a bunch of people stopping in to pick up take-out orders. It didn't take too long to receive my order and it was well packed- in fact, since I ordered my Tom Kha soup with tofu and chicken they even had an extra small container so the full portion, with add ons would fit. I thought this was very considerate. All the food was still hot once I returned home and it was packed very securely. My favorite was the Pad Eggplant, on the menu it's listed as choice of: Chicken, Pork, Beef, Tofu, Mixed Vegetables, Shrimp, or Calamari | Stir-fried eggplant, bell peppers, carrots, onions, green onions, sweet basil, and your choice of protein sautéed in Grandma's special sauce. The Grandma's special sauce is the reason I ordered it and it was delicious. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was flavorful, and I ordered mine with pork and it was great. The green curry was good, but didn't blow me away- this is something I typically order at Thai restaurants and the curry had a very soupy consistency that was thinner. The veggies were fresh and delicious, and didn't soak in the curry flavor, they held their own fresh veggie flavor. I prefer my curries thicker, but it was still tasty. The Tom Kha soup was also good, but again thinner than my favorite spots and lighter in flavor. I also noticed they had slices of ginger in the soup which leant to flavor but between picking out the ginger and bay leaves there was more pieces that could have been removed by the restaurant instead of serving them. I would go back to try more items from the menu, and would definitely get the Pad Eggplant again.
