We don't eat here all the time, but we come by ever so often when we want a convenient, easy meal that is close to home. Our go-to orders are usually the chicken salad sandwich, or my husband gets the pastrami and turkey sandwich with a side of chili. The food is always a reliable and tasty option for a quick lunch. I believe they are under new ownership now as well.I ordered online for pickup. My order confirmation said it would be ready between 1:00 PM and 1:05 PM. When I walked in, I had to ask about it, only to find it was already sitting finished on the pickup shelf. I received a text message at 1:57 PM, nearly an hour later, saying my order was just ready.The staff might just need to sync up with their online ordering system a bit better, but outside of that minor tech delay, the food itself was great. The gentleman was very nice that helped me at the counter, but my sandwich was gross. I don't even know what was wrong with it. The bread, was not sourdough, it was drowning in the dressing and mustard, no meat... I honestly couldn't even eat it. And I love deli sandwiches. Poor quality ingredients. Bread doesn't taste very good, doesn't seem fresh. Artichokes, olives and pickles all tasted bad or poor quality. Everyone here loves pickles and 1 of us spit it out and 2 people said "not the best." I make vegetarian meals all the time and my produce seemed awful, almost maybe rotten. And we paid $18 a sandwich. Boudin has better bread and overall quality, jersey mikes is better for a value sandwich and Mr Pickles uses Grillos pickles, AND gives you free cookies and always uses very fresh ingredients. My boyfriend were out and about and were deciding what we wanted for lunch and ended up here. I've never been before so I was a bit slow to order and i'm not the biggest fan of most sourdough breads, luckily the amazing manager was taking our order and heard my delma and offered two free pieces of bread and butter to try it before we bought it. I surprisingly enjoyed the bread seeing as I normally don't like sourdough! we ordered and he was incredibly polite and professional and we got our food quickly. As we were eating he checked up to make sure our food was up to par and tasting good (it was amazing!) when we were cleaning up after eating he came back and gave us a free cookie and asked if I enjoyed my first time at sourdough & co and I would have to say it was an amazing first experience. Just finished my lunch. I had a chicken salad sandwich and clam chowder soup. First the store is clean and inviting. The staff is very pleasant, and the manager is involved in the process. So we decided a quick sandwich would be a good choice for dinner before heading to a Jr. High drama production at the local school. I guess it turned out to be an ok choice. The service was pretty quick and the staff were pretty friendly. I ordered the French Dip. The meat was a little tough, the roll it was served on was pretty good and the amount of au jus was adequate; usually I have to ask for more, but this time I didn't! Everyone else's food was reportedly ok, too. The A/C was turned down pretty low so it was too cold for some of our party members. The few tables they have were clean as were the floors, but the dining room is very small, so it can't accommodate many people. We stopped in at the Lincoln Blvd (Safeway Shopping Center) location after not coming here for over a year. What a difference a year makes! The ownership changed shortly after our last visit and it has made an AMAZING change! Everything is improved, most importantly the customer service!!!! Talk about an excellent all around experience! First off, I have to compliment the staff on site the day I came in after coaching for a softball tournament - Raynah & Hannah were the only ones our behind the counter that day and they did an INCREDIBLE job recommending a sandwich for me (and preparing it deliciously), they were delightful to interact with, and the store was extremely tidy/clean. As someone who has spent many years of my life in the service industry, I understand when exceptional service is provided and these two tag teamed a massive take out order while also still accommodating the guests inside the restaurant. I had the smoked brisket sandwich and it was to die for! We're talking melt in your mouth meat and the side of mac & cheese was an incredible pair to compliment. Finding a spot to eat in Lincoln was a bit of a challenge but I now know exactly where my go-to spot will be for the future. Had a very good experience and a great sandwich here. Ordered online for pick-up and it was easy and very user friendly. They clearly give all the choices and the sandwich selection is extensive. I selected the 6" specialty brisket sandwich and it was excellent, fresh and flavorful. I got it on a sourdough roll and hot. When I arrived the order was ready. The two staff seemed a bit unsure of themselves, but without an issue. The sandwich was difficult to eat as it was drippy and large, so the bread practically disintegrated as I ate, so definitely have a plate and a lot of napkins, but nonetheless delicious. If you would've told me that the perfect deli sandwich came from a fast casual chain restaurant, I wouldn't have believed you! If you look back on my recent reviews, I've kind of been on a deli sandwich quest. Where I live in Chico, I've found places that have killer bread but really skimp on the meat & toppings, or load up on deli meat but have really terrible bread. I was down in Roseville to run errands yesterday, and I decided to stop for a late lunch at Sourdough & Co. I've been here before for the salads, but never actually ordered a sammy. I went with a simple turkey & cheddar on sourdough, and it was incredible! There was a really generous amount of meat & cheese, the produce was fresh, and the bread was heavenly! It was pillowy soft, warm from the oven, and had just the right amount of crunch on the outside. I'd be a regular in a heartbeat... if only y'all had a location in Chico! The staff was super friendly, the store was clean... the only disappointment was their Coke Freestyle machine. The machine's touchscreen was difficult to use, and it was out of every calorie-free option... no diet anything. Last Sunday I came on my lunch to get a sandwich and a flatbread and even though the place was not very busy it took 40+ min to get my order to go. I don't think I have ever had such a sad experience in either of the Sourdough locations. It was very obvious people who were dining in were served first and there were people waiting for their pick up orders for just as long : 40+ min !! It was horrific to watch how slow the 3 male employees who were preparing the food. They were moving so slow it seemed like they had all the time in the world. There was no urgency in the matter and I had to ask if the order is getting ready. The reply was : we are getting to it right now. I was late to work by 45 min. I do not recommend going here due to its uncleanliness and slow wait times. Firstly, when we walked in we waited 3 minutes before having our order taken even though there were no other customers in line. Secondly, we watched a woman clean a table and then go straight to making food without changing her gloves. Finally, the service was poor. The ladies taking our order were rude to us when we asked questions. We asked for a bagette and the lady asked if we wanted it half baked, we asked what that meant and she had an attitude about it. Apparently it meant it was raw dough that you bake at home, which was not at all obvious with the naming. The wait was extremely slow as well, especially being that we were the only order they had at the time, and we only ordered 3 things. We ended up waiting for 20 minutes. A few of the other staff were much nicer than the people that served us, although they were only serving others. Edit: we just ate our food. The mac and cheese came cold, and the soup was barely warm. The only good thing was the bread. For 35 dollars, the bread bowl, "large" mac and cheese, and baguette was not worth the price. My family and I are big fans of sourdough Company. My mom loves the bread bowl with the clam chowder soup. I am a big fan of the French dip. It is extremely good. This is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere. They do have more than one bread to choose from not just sourdough they also have sliced. I decided to try the French dip. I'm a huge French dip fan as it is you can't go wrong with them and this is hands-down one of my favorite friendships that I've ever had. If anything the OG was a little bit salty but the sandwich itself was absolutely delicious. Made to perfection And I had no crumbs left over. It is definitely worth getting the 8 inch. It's a lot bigger and it has a good amount of meat on it. They definitely have something for everybody. Here they have all kinds of different sandwiches to choose from and they make everything fresh every day. Their bread is one of the big sellers. The sourdough bread is very good. Has a great taste and has just the right craving. If you have not tried them I recommend checking out sourdough.com And if you're a big French dip fan like me then you would love the French dip.
