It was very disappointing, not flavorful like I expected and grits were very runny. But the ones who were able to get the chicken dip raved abt it so I definitely want to go back and try it out.

We travel all over the US and we have recently had some terrible service and the room being clean. The staff there were friendly and welcoming . I appreciated that. My room was clean and plenty of towels to accommodate two of us. The bed was comfy . The breakfast was kept stocked so we didn't have to ask for anything . The lady at the front desk greeted me and first impressions I probably could have been offended but once she and I got to talking she was cool and I even saw her the next morning and she was great! We had four people in our group and got one of the few rooms left which was a king with a sofa bed. We were thinking two would sleep in the King and two on the sleeper sofa. We were a little surprised to see that the sofa bed was really only big enough for one adult or maybe one adult and one small child but we worked it out. My only con was the sheets on the sofa bed were dirty but they quickly switched those out with clean ones. The lady on the evening shift was quite friendly. The rest of the room appeared to be very clean. We had a great breakfast. They had sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, muffins, bagels and more. The lady working the breakfast was also very nice. The facilities in general appeared to be taken care of well. Perfect...nothing is perfect...but you can tell they try to make their guests happy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

It seemed like they purposefully did the opposite of all my wishes. I was put on the first floor rather than the top floor, near the stairs and not provided with feather-free pillows. Weirder, when I arrived to my room, housekeeping was still working on it. I'm not sure if she finished cleaning it or just left. But the smell of the chemical cleaning products or something to try to cover up another smell was awful. I put the AC on full blast but it was still overpowering when I returned from dinner. The floor of the shower looked icky; the curtains were stained; the wallpaper was coming off the wall. In the hallway, the baseboards were missing. The room was actually quiet but the curtains didn't close fully so there was light coming in all night. The breakfast area was large but the layout wasn't ideal so there was always a group near the toaster. Even though the area was large, the options were less than normal. It was a place to sleep and I was very happy to check out. I did receive 5,000 points for the problems.

I'll start with the one positive: the housekeeping staff is excellent--very kind, hardworking, and our room was clean upon check-in. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. At check-in, we were told extended-stay guests receive housekeeping three times per week and were asked which days we preferred. That schedule never happened. Our room was repeatedly skipped or pushed back due to staffing shortages, with priority given to check-outs. This is not the fault of the cleaning staff, who are clearly overworked, but rather a management issue. This Hilton-brand hotel frequently did not have enough linens to service all rooms. On multiple occasions, staff had to ask guests to turn in dirty towels just so more could be washed. There were also times when kitchen dishcloths and towels ran out before they reached our room. In December, a Hilton brand inspector visited, and management clearly knew ahead of time--there was sudden cleaning and painting. One concerning issue involved breakfast sanitation. Normally, there was one shared gallon of milk for all guests. The day before the inspector arrived, this was replaced with individual milk bottles, only to return to the shared gallon a few days later. Management claimed this was a coincidence, which raises concerns about consistency and sanitation standards. There are many transient workers who stay here, and it appears to be the primary clientele the hotel caters to. If that suits your needs, this may work for you. However, if you expect consistent Hilton standards, I would recommend considering the Holiday Inn Express or Fairfield Inn in Belmont instead.

It's always a win-win. Tru is down the street from a shopping center with some major retail stores that are within walking distance. The parking was plentiful. The lobby and front desk were pleasant. I will say doing the self-check-in still required me to stop by the front desk and no one even asked for my license to verify it was my reservation. The security measures that the Hilton brand typically takes during check-in were lacking here at Tru. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels were already in the room and most of the convenient items that come with a standard Hilton stay. I did not find a bar soap that they usually provide (I like this for handwashing) I typically don't see a purpose in complaining or requesting items on a one-night stay, so this wasn't something I couldn't resolve with something I had with me. The room was extremely bright and hard to sleep in. I didn't love this part. The shades to the window are not good at darkening the room.

The first room we were in didn't have a working TV and the 2nd room had a loose toilet and no phone. No one came to clean, exchange towels or sheets during our stay. Also, we were traveling with a group of teens and had planned to use the laundry center to clean uniforms but the washer was not working. We were told we could go to the Quality Inn to do laundry - no thanks.

Although they took 15-20 minutes per customer for check-in, the staff were very courteous to everyone. Appliances: They didn't have microwaves in the rooms and the only ones in the hallway were down. A lady tried to get some instant food microwaved for a long time but it was down. I could literally sense her frustration as it was past midnight & all of us simply wanted to go to our rooms & sleep. Security: Their RFID cards were down (like completely) except to unlock the room. We weren't prewarned by the staff so my husband got locked out twice while coming back from the car. They didn't have a reception contact number(so weird), so if he had been staying alone, he'd have been stuck standing outside all night. Now for the bad , I stayed above the firepit area which I thought was going to be cool . Instead all I could smell was cigarettes and weed for most of my stay . It stunk up my whole room . So for the 2 days I stayed that was constant. Also the employees park their cars u front at the entrance blocking most of it so u can't get by . For their whole shift . And there is a huge parking lot but they choose to block most of the customers entrance. For the price I tolerated it and just note to self won't be coming back .
