Water pressure for the shower/tub was great, our only concern was there was no tub grips or rubber mat to prevent someone slipping, as the surface was very smooth. Also, not a very handicap accessible-friendly property. Only one handicap parking spot and no rooms were available on the lower floor for someone who has a tough time with stairs and heavy luggage, and there was no elevator.  Stairs were steep and very narrow.     We always check the windows when checking in to any motel, and sure enough, the window to our room was unlocked.  Anyone could have easily slid open the window and climbed in. Once locked, it was secured, and the room door had sufficient security locks on it, so we did feel safe. There was no drop box to deposit the room key, and when we checked out, no one was in the office.  We felt uncomfortable leaving the key on the counter but there was no other place to leave it. Overall, considering the prices of the local area hotels, it's an affordable, decent, no-frills place for an overnight stay.

I showed up tonight and I was told they don't have a room after driving 800 miles she was rude!! I stayed there a couple of times 5 years ago now it's run down and Google is saying a lot of bugs in the room. It's a shame you get treated that way. There was only 1 car in the parking lot I will never stay there again they rent to Section 8 low-income and what hotel still has smoking rooms it's a disgusting place that needs to be torn down look elsewhere.

As a couple planning a smaller wedding (approximately 50 guests), we were looking for a venue that would feel elegant and special without needing a huge guest count, and this venue exceeded our expectations. The ballroom had a beautiful modern hotel glam feel, and the blue uplighting gave the entire reception a dreamy atmosphere. The ceremony space was thoughtfully partitioned from the ballroom, creating a special reveal for guests afterward. The room layout also worked perfectly for a smaller wedding because guests still had plenty of room to mingle and dance while keeping an intimate feel. Lauren, the maître d', was incredible throughout the entire process and truly functioned as a day-of coordinator as well. She and her team handled vendor coordination, guided the ceremony flow, helped elderly family members get seated comfortably, and made sure everything stayed on schedule even when our getting-ready timeline ran tight. I was especially impressed by how beautifully they incorporated our personalized decor with the hotel's decor -- especially the sweetheart table. The food was outstanding. The cocktail hour included numerous hot and cold stations, hors d'oeuvres, pasta, cheeses, breads, and more. Guests especially loved the mini spanakopitas and mini reubens. Dinner was delicious, and our NY strip steak was cooked perfectly, and the trays of mini desserts passed around with the cake topped off the dinner perfectly. Our vegan and vegetarian guests were also very happy with their accommodation. We did experience one small seating/table numbering mix-up on the wedding day, and the staff did try to accommodate us; everything ultimately worked fine. As an added bonus, we had three rooms in their hotel for two nights as part of our package. I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for both nights, which had room for my glam squad to do my and my MOH and mother's glow ups for the wedding. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff had a towel heart on the bed, similar to a cruise ship. Champagne and a dish of the mini desserts were waiting for us after the wedding. The beds were comfortable, and I was so thankful for the care they took of us during our stay. Our bridal party in the other rooms like the accommodations as well. And honestly, it was a God send to just hop on the elevator with my dad, walk across the lobby to enter the ceremony space. I am so thankful for the experience and ease of it all. Overall, we highly recommend this venue, especially for couples looking for a beautiful and affordable smaller wedding venue that still feels elegant and memorable.

I enjoyed my stay here. Some Hotels manage to give you a bad vibe from the parking lot. I'm glad…read morethat this was no such experience. Chose to stay here for a work related thing, & the commute home was far too ridiculous to take every day. From the process of checking in, I felt good about the choice. Bright, clean lobby, staff seemed like they had some standards on who they hired & put at the front desk to make that 1st impression. Got to the room & while it was nothing grand, it was clean & comforting. No bad vibes from the room either. Everything worked as it should, & going back to check-in....the process was easy. Bathroom was clean & well maintained, as that's another weak point for hotels. A nice room, & a bathroom that needs some updates or work done. Glad that wasn't the case here. Parking lot had plenty of parking, didn't have to use the ice machine, but I saw others use it, so I know it worked. Wifi was easy to access, & stayed consistently on. Nothing worse than having to repeatedly re-connect to a hotels WiFi for seemingly no reason. There is a bar/restaurant on site, but it wasn't open. There's a sign on the counter that says that they're only open on Friday & Saturday. I did check out the gym....through the window. For some odd reason my key did not open the gym door. The pool was closed for the season, so I didn't check that out. It's right off of 37, so easy access to plenty of places to eat & or shop, if you need to. Most importantly, the bed was super comfortable. I slept great each night. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay & definitely would stay here again if I ever needed to.

It's hard to choose the best part--the breakfast each morning was out of this world, our Beachcomber room was incredibly comfortable, and even with a week of rain and fog, there was no shortage of things to do. Since we took our honeymoon a year and a half into our marriage, we decided to renew our vows, and thanks to the incredible kindness of the innkeepers, it became a truly special moment. Brian and Audrey went above and beyond to make our renewal ceremony unforgettable--Audrey provided us with a beautiful bouquet and sparkling cider, while Brian officiated on the rooftop. Their warmth and hospitality made our trip feel magical, despite the weather. We're already looking forward to returning in the summer to fully enjoy the pool and rooftop under sunnier skies. In the meantime, the cozy lounge, endless games, books, puzzles, and thoughtful amenities ensured that every moment was enjoyable. The plush robes, 24/7 tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, delicious food, bikes, and even the beach towels and chairs made us feel completely taken care of. Sand Castle truly offers everything you could want in a getaway, and we can't wait to come back! This was hands-down the best experience we've ever had at a place we've stayed, and we wouldn't change a thing.
