Dining: - Offered in-room or at the beautiful dining space at two seating times. The dining space has windows all around and glass tables. - Had choice of juice along with coffee/tea - Started off with a fresh fruit plate, then a generous square of fluffy cornbread with honey butter - Entree was a flavorful scallion pancake with ham and American cheese on top Other: - Audrey is the most gracious and responsive host - Bicycles and helmets easily accessible, would love to take advantage of this next time - Loved the big selection of movies (complete with ready-to-microwave popcorn) and board games - Location is fantastic, right next to Kubel's - Bummed to have missed out on the chocolate-covered Oreos offered in the dining room as the afternoon snack because I was too full, would save stomach space next time! We stayed at the Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast for our honeymoon and had an absolutely wonderful time. It's hard to choose the best part--the breakfast each morning was out of this world, our Beachcomber room was incredibly comfortable, and even with a week of rain and fog, there was no shortage of things to do. Since we took our honeymoon a year and a half into our marriage, we decided to renew our vows, and thanks to the incredible kindness of the innkeepers, it became a truly special moment. Brian and Audrey went above and beyond to make our renewal ceremony unforgettable--Audrey provided us with a beautiful bouquet and sparkling cider, while Brian officiated on the rooftop. Their warmth and hospitality made our trip feel magical, despite the weather. We're already looking forward to returning in the summer to fully enjoy the pool and rooftop under sunnier skies. In the meantime, the cozy lounge, endless games, books, puzzles, and thoughtful amenities ensured that every moment was enjoyable. The plush robes, 24/7 tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, delicious food, bikes, and even the beach towels and chairs made us feel completely taken care of. Sand Castle truly offers everything you could want in a getaway, and we can't wait to come back! I am going to have a hard time staying in any other resort or hotel after my time here. I have lived in Europe and visited over 25 countries and yet in my home state I had the best experience at any resort. We had the privilege of staying in the sunset vista room. All of the rooms are beautiful, immaculately clean and offer premium linens and comfortable beds. You have a mini fridge, every toiletries you can imagine and even some sodas and popcorn. The pool was our spot, it's clean the perfect temperature and plenty of comfortable loungers. There's a gym , books, games and even homemade afternoon treats (my husband loved the brownies). The breakfast here is outstanding, I have dietary restrictions that Audrey and chef Jaya had no problem accommodating. Loved the fresh delicious made to order breakfast I had every morning. Again, if you forgot anything at home don't worry Audrey has got you! I cannot wait to return. So unbelievably thankful this is a child free resort. I paid the same amount of money to stay at the hotel lbi two years ago to have it feel like I was at Disney. Adults deserve a space to be adults and this is the place! read more

This was the first time my wife and I stayed at The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast, and it exceeded our expectations. Our room was immaculate, the delicious breakfast is served in a glass enclosed dining room with views of the bay, and there is a large heated pool surrounded by lounges, chairs, and umbrellas. Audrey (the owner), and her staff were all lovely and accommodating in every way possible. As cozy as a Bed and Breakfast place can possibly be. Every room is unique with its own theme. The area is so peaceful and quiet. The restaurants on the Island are good. Love Kluber's next door. They have bike rentals as there is plenty of space to ride around and enjoy the sights. Be sure to check out the light house. "Service" is the first word that comes to mind when I sit down to write my review of the Sand Castle B&B. "Casual luxury", "Breakfast", "Tranquility" also pop into my head. We stayed in a suite and enjoyed the room immensely - Jacuzzi and a movie anyone? The service was friendly, helpful, and supportive. The food was delicious. The facilities were closer to a spa than my expectations for a B&B. The location on the far north end of Long Beach Island (LBI) was quiet and had nice views of the bay. It was a short walk to the beach and lighthouse. I'm guessing the beach at this end of the island is also the least crowded - but the crowds had yet to arrive this summer so I can't be certain. It's a bit of a drive to most of the dining options, but there's a restaurant next door and an ice cream shop really close by. My one quibble: we had spotty Wi-Fi connectivity. It worked a majority of the time... just was inconsistent for some reason. To be clear, the Sand Castle appeared to do everything reasonable to make sure we had solid Wi-Fi connections; Wi-Fi was everywhere - with multiple network options (e.g. 2.x GB, 5 GB, etc.). I even restarted the router in our room a couple of times. Most likely it was just a spotty week for the ISP. read more

What a fantastic place. From the minute you walk in you fell at home. Nancy, the innkeeper and her entire staff are awesome, extremely friendly and very accommodating. Nancy provides everything you could think of, from soft drinks and snacks to beach chairs , umbrellas and towels. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Now for the best, breakfast!!! This is a really nice experience. The food is delicious and not what you would expect, it is gourmet quality and beautifully presented. Fresh (good) fruit, wonderful homemade baked goods and the most delicious scones I ever tasted. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available into evening. Waking up to the sounds of the Bay, bike riding, making new friends in the recently added gazebo on the Bay, courtesy of the Town and being less than two blocks to the most relaxing, scenic beaches on this Island make your stay memorable. Great to know a "pro" like Nancy who always puts her patrons first and she is a Master at Customer Service. The Christmas decorations upstairs add a Seasonal charm even in the Summer so I would recommend a September or early October visit as well.
