Compared to other beach hotels, this is truly a wonderful location to stay! Point pleasant is the cleanest beach in jersey that I've visited and the locals are very friendly. Me and my girlfriend loved the area and couldn't be happier with the stay we had. Our two night stay INCLUDED BEACH PASSES which was an excellent bonus. The room was clean and felt very cozy. Modernized room was much more comfortable than the typical small beach hotel room that normally have old looking sheets and drab colored blankets. The price was a little high for the time of the year but overall it was a worthwhile experience.

Here's a tip, when instructing guests to leave dirty towels outisde for new ones Ughhhh (assumed will be receiving fresh left outside)- please try to state that somewhere that isn't in small print in a frame behind the lamp on the endtable that is two feet high. Pros - near water (canal) Cons- 1. garden view means parking lot. 2. Even Motel 6 changes bed sheets daily. 3. See through front doors ( had to put sheet up) 4. Comforter - dirty 5 *Glass* drinking glasses and soap container hanging off undersized shelf. 6. No drawers or closet. (only other door leas to a other rental. Our door was unlocked!) 7. One endtable Kitchen table on other side of bed. 8. No fan in bathroom. 9. no area rug - just a cold kitchen style floor 10. Very small room. You could hear everyone's conversation smoking outside in the garden, I mean parking lot. 11. refrigerator was not on. I cried when we pulled up. Never in our travels from 3 to 5 star hotels has anyone banged on the door 2 mins to checkout yelling " You know check out is at 11, right?" This was a very last minute trip but with further inspection one should not expect elegance with a bait and tackle shop attached to the front entrance. A little piece of me died this weekend.

Air conditioning is in each room, although not as cool in the hallways. Outside is a nice sized porch with plenty of seating. Breakfast is simple: bread products, fruit, coffee/tea, cereal and yogurt. Some photos are outdated on the breakfast...no full egg, sausage etc is provided (fyi). It is basic and offered in the dining room before 10am. I had no issues with grub hub orders for dinner. Parking is available in their lot, no street parking is permitted overnight. The location is safe and easy to find. The room I stayed in- Moonbeam was on the 3rd floor. It had a mini fridge, dressers, fireplace, tv, couch, large bathroom and comfortable bed. The flooring is mostly hardwood so sometimes you may hear some neighbors moving about.

We found the accommodations did not meet the high price point. We stayed in the sunrise room. The rooms do not receive housekeeping unless requested prior to 11 AM. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the water temperature in the shower would fluctuate greatly from cold to hot and back without warning. The breakfast spread is modest but gets the job done. They have fruit, cereal, pastries, yogurt, and oatmeal. They also put out a mid afternoon snack which is nice. The people are friendly but overall it could use an update.

It was fully decorated for Christmas, with Christmas music playing throughout the house and my room even had it's own Christmas tree! I checked-in during tea time and live piano music was being performed in the lobby! My room was clean, warm and cozy. The shared common area had waters, a Keurig machine and delicious home-made treats available. The included breakfast was my favorite part! Everything home-made from the scones, to frittata, fruit salad, lemon cream and clotted cream. It was served in a delightful lavender room with a blazing antique fireplace. If you love antiques and old mansions and fully decorated rooms-this place is for you! Great for a romantic couple getaway, but I just felt like pampering myself for Christmas. Quaint and no-frills, but great location, good price, and it gets the job done…read more Check-in is super easy, you can arrive after-hours if you must. It is billed as a B&B, so we sampled the options one of the mornings during our stay. Coffee and water, mandarins, and store bought coffee cakes were out, and the proprietor, who was super kind during the stay, made some scrambled eggs, which were really delicious. He had some bread and cinnamon raisin bread out, too, which we toasted. The room was decently sized and fairly clean, though there were some ants. One oddity is the bathroom situation. Our room had a private bathroom, which was a deal breaker for us. You can request that when you book. Most rooms share bathrooms - there are a few in the halls. The walls are pretty thin, and there was a definite clomper present during our visit, so we heard them a-clompin' from time to time. Overall, though, it didn't detract for us. The third floor has a nice little lounge and TV room if you need to stay indoors awhile, plus there are porches out front and on the second floor. Bonus points because at the entrance they sell "ping pong pals," which are ping pong balls with mini sunglasses. That's the stuff bonus points were made for. Extra bonus points for the single best selling point about this place - the location. They are a five minute walk from Ocean Grove's Main Street with its nice coffeeshops, bakeries, delis, shops, etc; less than five minutes walking gets you to the beach; and about 5-10 minutes across the bridge gets you to Asbury's main dining/night life area. That makes for an incredibly convenient stay. We were satisfied.
