Casa Del Mar is a boutique hotel right at the inlet. They have a small handful of one and two bed rooms. Very cute beach themed rooms. The bed was super comfy and the room was spotless upon arrival. Very popular spot for hanging out by the water. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back. read more

I'm visiting from Washington and found this gem of a hotel on Yelp. Helpful and friendly staff, really clean, and with everything I needed - including an in room charging station, easy parking, super comfortable beds/soft sheets, great shower pressure, quality shampoo and body wash... the list goes on and on. A huge bonus is the coffee shop attached! Its been so nice to order my favorite drink (an oat milk latte) in my PJs and then go back to my room to relax before heading out for the days adventures. Compared to other beach hotels, this is truly a wonderful location to stay! Point pleasant is the cleanest beach in jersey that I've visited and the locals are very friendly. Me and my girlfriend loved the area and couldn't be happier with the stay we had. Our two night stay INCLUDED BEACH PASSES which was an excellent bonus. The room was clean and felt very cozy. Modernized room was much more comfortable than the typical small beach hotel room that normally have old looking sheets and drab colored blankets. The price was a little high for the time of the year but overall it was a worthwhile experience. read more

Perfect location right next to the inlet. Rooms are quaint, boho type newly renovated and clean. Walk to the inlet, boardwalk and local restaurants. Can't beat the sunsets at the inlet and fishing. Wanted to check this place out during the summer but completely booked so happy to finally got the opportunity. This will be my got to hotel when returning to Point. Here's a tip, when instructing guests to leave dirty towels outisde for new ones Ughhhh (assumed will be receiving fresh left outside)- please try to state that somewhere that isn't in small print in a frame behind the lamp on the endtable that is two feet high. Pros - near water (canal) Cons- 1. garden view means parking lot. 2. Even Motel 6 changes bed sheets daily. 3. See through front doors ( had to put sheet up) 4. Comforter - dirty 5 *Glass* drinking glasses and soap container hanging off undersized shelf. 6. No drawers or closet. (only other door leas to a other rental. Our door was unlocked!) 7. One endtable Kitchen table on other side of bed. 8. No fan in bathroom. 9. no area rug - just a cold kitchen style floor 10. Very small room. You could hear everyone's conversation smoking outside in the garden, I mean parking lot. 11. refrigerator was not on. I cried when we pulled up. Never in our travels from 3 to 5 star hotels has anyone banged on the door 2 mins to checkout yelling " You know check out is at 11, right?" This was a very last minute trip but with further inspection one should not expect elegance with a bait and tackle shop attached to the front entrance. Hotel looks recently redone and our room was clean and nicely decorated. There were even cute little Halloween goodie bags on the beds when we checked in. The staff at the coffee shop was very friendly and had good coffee. Overall felt safe in the neighborhood and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The reason for the 2 stars is the price and we had an issue with the outside lights. The outside sensor lights went on and off all night with no other guests staying at the hotel. If you are a sensitive sleeper bring an eye mask because even with the shades down they were bright and woke me up constantly! Hopefully this is something management can fix. read more

So happy with this hotel stay. It's so cute and very clean. We brought our pup for the weekend since it's a puppy friendly hotel. There is a picnic table and coffee tables outside of each room. Bicycles are available for use as well. Super happy with our decision to stay here!! We booked in months in advance since it might get very busy during the summer. Let me start off by saying I'm sorry for totally misjudging the hotel at first. I had pulled up without even looking in the room for more then 10 seconds I left. I'm don't travel to the beach a lot so I wasn't sure what you get for the prices in point pleasant. I called the place right away without evening questioning me they gave me a full refund! Long story short after staying one night in Neptune I realized this hotel is really priced right for what you get so I decided to come back. On top of it the way the owner was beyond professional , sweet made me want to come back & give this hotel a chance. So pleased my boyfriend & I did so because it's lovely here in every way . Rooms (except for the penthouse, which looks amazing) are not huge but are clean, contemporary and well-appointed, with little kitchenettes and stocked mini-fridges. I wanted so badly to love this place but that didn't happen. First turn off was walking towards our room/door and seeing 2 cigarettes left in the ashtray on the little table that sat outside our room with 2 chairs. As a non smoker that was an immediate turnoff. It also comes across as being dirty and who wants to see that when checking into your room. We entered the room immediately changed into slippers because we never walk with our shoes from outside into any room whether at home or on vacation. The room appeared to be very nice and tidy but once you walked across the floor you could tell it needed to be swept. I tried not to make a big deal of it and said nothing to my husband. Excited to be there, we dropped our bags and headed to the Boardwalk. We got back about 2 hours later and it was at this point we realized even though the air conditioner had been on, it wasn't cool in the room at all. As an asthmatic I need the room to be cool and I assumed having an air conditioner on that would have been the case but it wasn't until about 1 in the morning, with the air conditioner thermostat set at 60 that we finally felt some relief. Actually for most of the night the only part of the room that was cool was the little area where the air conditioner was, right outside the bathroom near the sink and the refrigerator. Next I'll talk about the bathroom, not only was that floor gritty hope but there was hair all over it. I looked on the side of the toilet hoping what I saw was just old and spots on the tiles but no I was wrong it was dirt. I grabbed a wash rag wet it and with my foot drags it all over the bathroom floor. At this point I was completely disgusted. I exited the bathroom to find out from my husband that we had or so we thought we had only one TV channel. This prompted me to text the person who had been texting with me since I made the reservation. They walked me through setting up the TV which is quite ridiculous, you would assume when checking into a hotel or motel that the cable would be ready to go. And while it doesn't take a brainiac to work with the TV, I shouldn't have to change the input on the TV and try to finagle with the remote before I relax and watch the TV . The last thing that really set me off was the size of the bed. While I have a king at home which may have us spoiled this seemed to be a full and was supposed to be a queen bed because that's what I paid $270 for including taxes for 1 night. It also "came" with a fitted sheet that constantly slipped off and had to keep being put on from the top as it was too small for the mattress. After the 5th time I threw my hands up. It was 74 degrees in the room, the sheet kept moving, the dirty bathroom floor, the gritty floor in the room and the cigarettes outside, not exactly our best hotel, motel or room of any sort check in. After Considering what I expressed I would have thought that the person I was speaking with who I assumed was either the manager or the owner would have said let me reimburse you for something, even $30-40 would have appeased me because I don't think I should have to come into a room I paid for and have to clean the floor before I walk around. But instead her response was you should have told me as soon as you arrived I would have sent someone. Why would you need to send someone why wouldn't it have been done prior to my checking especially since you knew I was coming, you texted with me earlier in the day and you knew the time of my arrival which by the way I came 2 hours later and you were already advised that I would be late and said no worries your room is ready. I understand that this is the shore and sand does get into the rooms, but having been down the shore every summer my entire life sand is nothing that sweeping and a mob can't handle. Same with hair. I don't recommend this location. One other thing, I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't getting on my hands and knees to do that, but mark my words everything I've said is true. The pictures you see online are very close to what it looks like when you enter the room but it's the little things that count when you're sleeping away from home and cleanliness for me is number one. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! My family and I stayed here for a few days and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The casa Del Mar was right across from the beach/boardwalk, and next to a beautiful inlet with several restaurants in walking distance. We had the penthouse room which had the most beautiful view, was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. I would recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait to go back! read more

What a great hotel! It made our first visit to Point Pleasant a perfect experience. The owners & everyone that worked there were so nice. The rooms were very cozy & clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable, which you don't usually find. It's a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk from the hotel so you don't need to drive anywhere your whole trip. Great beach motel! Stayed at Casa Del Mar for a Bachlorette party and we loved it! Great location, walk to beach and boardwalk, and even came with beach passes for most of our group which saved us some money. The rooms are decorated really cute. There are no employees on-site but the owner/manager was only a phone call away and was very nice. I would know because I locked our room key in one of our rooms. read more

My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of staying at casa del mar and I cannot wait to go back! The location is awesome, it was clean and recently refurbished, the beds are super comfortable and the staff was beyond amazing. They were so wonderful and accommodating. I would actually say staying here made our vacation even better than it would've been staying at any other place. They really make you feel welcome. My son Jude, who is only 2, is still talking about it. We left a few days ago and tonight he said "mommy, back to the beach" and gave me a "hang ten" - which Paul, the coolest dude ever, from the bait shop taught him. :) Usually I don't give 5 stars because I like to live by the rule that there's always room for improvement but this place truly deserves it. read more

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend and had a wonderful time. The location is great right across the street from the beach/boardwalk and walking distance to local restaurants. We had a full kitchen in our room and plenty of space for my toddler and small dog. The rooms have been recently updated and have everything you need for a nice getaway. My fiancée and I were on a rare vacation without my 16 year-old son. We arrived late at night and the key was in the room as we were told. One of the first things we noticed, the bed was incredibly loud even with the slightest touch or movement. We doubted it could be like that and no one making the bed would notice. We waited a day to complain as we were just trying to figure out what was wrong with the bed and basically try to enjoy our time without problems. We discovered that the bed was broken. When we did say something, they told us they could not do anything about it until after we left because the owner wasn't there nor was there a handyman around. They actually told me to take it off the frame and sleep on the mattress on the floor! (not that there was room for that.) We pressed that the bed is a basic amenity so Katarina offered to move us. Happy-- we packed everything up and went to the beach. When I went back to the room 4 hours later, the housekeeper told me she had heard we weren't being moved after al because the owner booked the room-- so all that packing was for nothing. There was never an explanation or apology from Katrina.. We have never heard of selling a room with a broken bed. Otherwise, the room was extremely small and nowhere to put things, no drawers or closet which was strange. The place was loud above and the people next door were partiers. The website is very nice and makes the place look boutique, but it is not-- it is a motel with blacktop right outside your door. We would have been fine with it tho if they had put in the cost of fixing the bed or make it up to us properly. My fiancée has been trying to get some kind of partial refund and the owner has promised a free night and a refund but it has been over a week and nothing has actually been given to us.
